Agreed, plus an overview of the how typical legal systems of other cultures in a fantasy setting operate -- eg for elves & other very long lived creatures, for magogracies & theocracies which we don't have real world analogues for.
Also the impact of magic level on the law -- murder's still bad, but is it as bad in cultures where "raise dead" is available; given that a non trivial proportion of the population can "detect evil", isn't it bordering on negligence for a LG/LN city to not simply outlaw evil? Speaking of negligence it takes a whole new level when divinations are considered?
We've had people (attempt to) sue god in our world, what about in a world were the gods are manifest and their actions directly attributable to them; if (an avatar of) a lawfull god is manifest in a lawfull region should it not to some extent submit itself to that regions laws, if say an avatar of Tyr is manifest in Waterdeep should it act with impunity in the interests of good/law even if it's actions are contrary to the laws of Waterdeep, if it violates those laws should it submit itself to a temporal court?
