I am really getting burned out on the constant bashing on Erik, on various writers, on anyone that doesn't take a "everything sucks and I am the only one smart enough to realize it," attitude that seems to be seeping into every freaking thread in here. I could care less if someone disagrees with me, but heck, have a reason to disagree with another person, have a discussion . . . but for God's sake don't just tee off at every little thing and constantly whine about how horrible everything and everyone is.
Here's an interesting exercise, and it might even lower your blood pressure . . . think about things you LIKE about your hobby, or about an editor or a writer, and let them know once in a while.

Board bashing is an ancient and time-honoured pastime, that is taught through osmosis to each new generation of posters.
It started over 2,000 years ago. Back then, people just stood around in big groups and whoever talked the loudest, got listened to. When someone they didn't like came along, they stoned them to death. Jesus tried to show them PHP, but they just weren't ready for it...
Some people simply:
A) Are deluded into thinking they are brilliant (too much ego)
B) Have way too much time
C) Have such narrow focus, they cannot see beyong their nose
D) All of the above (for truly spectacular jerks)
It is a source of mystery to me that anyone would bother to post a personal attack or flamming/raging post ... to me it's more alien than green men from outer space ...
