Contemplating Dungeon / Dragon Subscription

Dragon Magazine General Discussion

I've been buying the magazines religiously for a while from my FLGS, and I'm seriously considering purchasing a subscription. I have a couple questions, tho'.

About what week of the month would I be getting them? And, given that it would be utilizing the service they tell me is called "snail mail" (no, really, people deliver the mail, I kid you not), I'm somewhat leery of reliability. Can anyone assauge my worries as to that?

Also, I noted that there was a package deal if one subscribes to both Dungeon and Dragon, though it seems to apply only to US orders. Is there a similar deal for those of us in the Great White North (not that the $2 matters terribly, but, hey, I could buy cherry blasters with that or somethin')?

I'll have to defer to the Paizo folks for a definitive answer, but where I live (Cleveland, OH), I generally get mine around the middle of the prior month. e.g. I got the July issues around June 15th.

I have never failed to receive an issue in almost one year of subscribing.

I've never failed to receive either (my husband subscribes) but the TIMING is very inconsistent. Sometimes we'll receive the issue two weeks before the release date, others it'll get to us two days after.

Canadian subscribers seem to get issues three to four weeks after we ship them.

Sadly, the one thing Paizo cannot control is the speed of the postal systems involved. And we don't hear a lot of good things about the celerity of the Canadian postal system in particular, I'm afraid. But we do promise you'll get your issues.

It applies everywhere. Just add a Dungeon sub and a Dragon sub to your cart at the same time, and the discount is automatically applied.

Cool, thanks guys. :)

I subscribed last week to both Dungeon and Dragon. Can I get an estimate on when I'll get my first issue? Will I receive issue 334 or will I have to wait for 335? What about Dungeon? Will I have to wait until 126?

Takasi,

Your first issues will be Dragon 335 and Dungeon 127. (You missed Dungeon 126 by about four days.)
