Phase searching would be a great feature for the site. I just did a search for "faceless one" and got a lot of results that had nothing to do with the faceless one. I started by searching "Everything" but found what I was looking for by narrowing my search to the messageboards.

Phase searching would be a great feature for the site.
It's on the to-do list, and is the second-highest search-related item on that list, right after prioritizing results where the search term appears in the title of the product/messageboard thread/blog/whatever.
However, to be frank, implementing phrase searching is a much bigger task than you might think. It requires substantial changes to the way we index everything in our database, so the "effort vs. reward" ratio - a key factor in prioritizing tasks for the web team - is not great, so it may be a while before this happens.
