Given our orders from the distribution channel, it is quite possible that the demand for the Shackled City Adventure Path book will outstrip what is available at retail, which means that there is a good chance you will not be able to get a copy of the Shackled City book from your local retailer when it releases.
We know many folks like to support their local game stores, and so we have made a downloadable pre-order form available to you. Just download the preorder form, fill it out, and give it to your local retailer. This insures that you will receive a copy of the book when it releases, and it helps your full line game store.

We will have copies in stock, but it could take some time to get those extra copies from our warehouse, to the distributors, and then to your retailer.

I'm a little concerned that word doesn't seem to be out there among the retailers. My brother owns a FLGS and when I asked him to order me a copy he said "I thought you were only going to be able to order that directly from Paizo" -
My brother is one of the really good gaming store owners, he knows his business. I pushed and assured him that Paizo was happy for us to get it from our FLGS, and that I was sure that it was possible for him to order it and would he check, please - but that being said, how are you getting word out there about this product. I mean, my brother will carry anything in his store a customer he trusts recommends, so I fully expect that he will try to get copies on the shelves beyond just ordering me a copy - but not everyone can say to their FLGS owner "You're my brother, trust me, you should order it."
He's a big fan of Dungeon and Dragon magazines, carries both in his store, and usually picks up a copy (though he's often a couple months behind in reading them). I'll also note that my local FLGS had not heard about it either (My brother isn't local unfortunately).
I'm curious that there hasn't been a bigger push to really inform folks about this product. I'd really like to see it succeed, because I want to see more products like it in the future.
