Gar Blitzhame (Jason Bulmahn)
Male Dwarf Fighter
The way your uncle talks longingly of Greysmere, you imagine the dwarven hold must be a wondrous place. But to you, Diamond Lake is home, and it nearly always has been. Up until recently, you’ve been content to serve as a trading adjunct with the Greysmere Covenant, an alliance of three dwarf families meant to maximize trading relationships with the mine managers of Diamond Lake and the nearby villages of Blackstone and Steaming Springs. But work has started to get boring, of late, and you’re now far more interested in your nightly visits to Lazare’s, a dragonchess parlor and drinking establishment along the Vein, Diamond Lake’s notorious main strip.
Your regular drinking partners there include Dram Cicaeda, the son of the village cartographer and Mélinde, a canny Heironean paladin who drinks like a rogue. You can beat all of them at dragonchess (they are, after all, human), but they’re good company nonetheless.
Three days ago, Dram Cicaeda came to you with a map and an intriguing offer. One of his associates, a woman named Tyralandi, plans to lead an excursion into a local cairn, which she believes to be laden with treasure. There are many such tombs in the region, but most are assumed to have been emptied centuries ago, their wealth accounting for much of Greyhawk’s now-faded splendor. Dram isn’t sure he can trust this Tyralandi, and asked you to accompany him to a meeting about exploring the cairn. He also wants you to be a part of his expedition, which sounds like it might be fun.
It sounds so fun, in fact, that you’ve mentioned it to a few strangers, including a valley elf whom you met (and got very, very drunk with) last night. Your memory is a little hazy (you can’t remember the elf’s name, for example), but you think you might have invited him to join you on the exploration. Dram probably won’t be too happy about that, but if you’re coming along it’s your adventure, too.
As an extra precaution, you’ve also decided to invite Vyth, a human blacksmith from the nearby Twilight Monastery who’s been studying with one of the other dwarves in the Greysmere Covenant. The man never speaks (you’re not sure he can speak), but you’ve seen the throwing blades he wears on his belt, and you’re guessing he’ll be good in a fight.
The group plans to meet this morning in an abandoned building not far from the tomb. Dram even has a map, stolen from his cartographer father. Your people have spoken of the wealth of the Cairn Hills since long before even Greysmere was built. Dram’s tomb will probably turn out to be empty, like all the others. But you can’t stop thinking about it. What if it isn’t empty at all?

Finally.. a place where my story can be told.. from its humble beginnings, to a heroic dwarf of destiny.
Accept no substitutes, this is where the true story of the adventure path will be told.
(as soon as I get around to writing it :)
You have alot of explaining to do, then. I read about how mean you were to Demon Boy. :)
