Yes, I know they're in issue #100 of Dragon. Yes, I have a copy. Yes, I know this probably isn't the correct forum to post this. However, I would like to know if there's any chance of a reprint of the rules before AP2? The reason is that I would like to have an updated rule set, and possibly a real set, since you have mentioned a dragonchess parlor being in the starting city of Diamond Mine, and I think it would make a great hook to bait my players with. It would be great to have something to roleplay around.

I agree fully , i have never heard of dragon chess, and unfortunatly i couldnt find that issue in any of my local stores.

Male Dwarf Fighter

The way your uncle talks longingly of Greysmere, you imagine the dwarven hold must be a wondrous place. But to you, Diamond Lake is home, and it nearly always has been. Up until recently, you’ve been content to serve as a trading adjunct with the Greysmere Covenant, an alliance of three dwarf families meant to maximize trading relationships with the mine managers of Diamond Lake and the nearby villages of Blackstone and Steaming Springs. But work has started to get boring, of late, and you’re now far more interested in your nightly visits to Lazare’s, a dragonchess parlor and drinking establishment along the Vein, Diamond Lake’s notorious main strip.

Your regular drinking partners there include Dram Cicaeda, the son of the village cartographer and Mélinde, a canny Heironean paladin who drinks like a rogue. You can beat all of them at dragonchess (they are, after all, human), but they’re good company nonetheless.

Three days ago, Dram Cicaeda came to you with a map and an intriguing offer. One of his associates, a woman named Tyralandi, plans to lead an excursion into a local cairn, which she believes to be laden with treasure. There are many such tombs in the region, but most are assumed to have been emptied centuries ago, their wealth accounting for much of Greyhawk’s now-faded splendor. Dram isn’t sure he can trust this Tyralandi, and asked you to accompany him to a meeting about exploring the cairn. He also wants you to be a part of his expedition, which sounds like it might be fun.

It sounds so fun, in fact, that you’ve mentioned it to a few strangers, including a valley elf whom you met (and got very, very drunk with) last night. Your memory is a little hazy (you can’t remember the elf’s name, for example), but you think you might have invited him to join you on the exploration. Dram probably won’t be too happy about that, but if you’re coming along it’s your adventure, too.

As an extra precaution, you’ve also decided to invite Vyth, a...

Very nicely done.

Eric Boyd will be providing conversion notes for running Age of Worms in the Forgotten Realms. Keith Baker will be doing the same for Eberron. We had hoped to be able to fit these sidebars into the magazine, but there wasn't enough room, so they'll be in the online web supplement for #124, I believe.

As for Age of Worms' story being tied to Kyuss... I suppose that's true. In the same way Ahab ends up tied to Moby d&&@. Which is to say... Kyuss is a fairly important part of the Age of Worms.

I plan to run my realms game set in the moonshea charactors are roled up with there own family histories. How easy will it be to run this path from here or should i concider another part of the realms.

Another question is sence these two paths have ref. of the Wind Dukes will there be a tie into a remake rod of seven parts adventure in the future.

Ok, this is my first issue via subscription, and I actually assumed it would take a good five business days from shipdate, but I didn't really know. Can't wait to read the first adventure of this path. I'm DMing for the girlfriend and kids, they've never played before, and it's the first time I've played since the late 80s. I'm hoping to build some cardstock terrain models based on the maps, and wanted to get as much time on it before the kids got off for summer.

Since you haven't received one yet, I'm assuming it hasn't printed yet, or has only just printed? I thought I read that it shipped on the 17th. Was it that it was sent to the printers on the 17th? How long does it usually take from the ship date to arrive?

I'm in South Carolina and, except for last month's Dungeon (which I've heard shipped late) it usually comes about ten days after the shipping date.

If I can ask this here, when is a good time (and I know RIGHT NOW is the knee-jerk reaction) to renew my subscriptions so that there's no lapse? A month? Two months?

So i started my subscription i think on the 21st , so that means i wont start recieving them till next issue , so i should wait and try to catch the first issue of the age of worms at the bookstore correct?

Man its fustraiting when you try to make them the heros and they kill the damn king amd escape. Uhhhhh. I feel your pain.

How about giving your king a higherlvl better equiped body guard Who shows up at the last minute to save the king , maybe a psionic warrior with the power to switch places with the king at the last minute. Then begin the beat down :)

As for roleplayers i have a few here in north texas and most they do like to creat a nice detailed background with family, history, and motives. But alas i still have the few that are "powergamers" but over all i control what gets released in my world. I also control what magic items are available to them.

Only when i become lax in my duties as a DM do they become unstoppable. Just remember the players cant get the item unless you let them , and i know many dm's that buckle because they are playing with friends and dont want to make anyone mad, But this is the dm's game too and the fun goes away fast if the players mow through a adventure that the Dm has worked long and hard on.
