Has Paizo considered creating a new campaign setting or remaking one of the other classic campaign settings as a series of articles in Dungeon? There's a thread over on the WotC Mystara board about just this kind of thing for Mystara.

I think Mystara would be a perfect candidate for this kind of treatment but I wouldn't be upset with a new setting either.

I dunno. I think it would be pretty awkward to have to pull a whole year's worth of Dungeon issues down off the shelf just to read-up on a campaign world. And looking up a particular fact about the world at the gaming table would be annoying to say the least when you have to flip between various issues.
I like the idea, but I would prefer to see it in the form of an entire single issue dedicated to describing the world, kind of like the special Maure Castle feature in issue #112. In fact, I actually suggested that Dragon should devote each of its annual "campaign classics" issues to describing a single world in the Dragon forum.

I was thinking that at a later time Paizo would publish the whole thing in a special additional (read: not as part of your subscription) issue or as a soft/hardback book. Those who didn't buy the special issue would, of course, have to pull down the year's worth of issues off the shelf to find that information about the Kingdom of Karameikos or whatever place.
The area of Mystara known as the "Known World" could easily be done this way as each country could be handled as it's own separate "module" of the setting. The way I envisioned it was each issue could cover one country or perhaps a single city or region. I guess this would depend on how each article were written though.
