I really like the Class Acts section of the magazine. However, there are so many more base classes now than just the PHB ones.
I would love to see Class Acts cover some of the other new base classes.
Some great classes that are seeing or have seen lots of discussion over at the WotC boards are the Warlock, Scout and Hexblade. But there are also some other very good ones: Spellthief, Ninja, Spirit Shaman, Swashbuckler.

I think the one-page concept for each class isn't a really good idea.
I'd love to see articles with more content 'cause it gives the authors the opportunity to present more complex ideas.
In some of the recent articles i had the feeling that the authors have only been able to scratch on the surface of ideas with far more potential.
I don't think that it's nessesary to have a class act for every class in every issue. Larger articles could as well present the opportunity to have content that is useful to several classes.
And i'd also like to see class acts for some of the new classes and for the psionic classes as well.
It could be a quarterly feature to focus on the uncommon classes 'cause i have the feeling, that there are a lot of players out there that are using the classes from the Complete-Books or the Expanded Psionics Handbook and would like to find supporting material in the pages of Dragon.

I like that idea as well. Instead of 1 full page per class pick a few classes and do multiple pages.
There are so many different ways Class Acts could be presented/handled.
Some focus grouping could be done. Caster Classes focusing on classes like Druid, Cleric, Wizard, Sorcerer, Warlock, War Mage, Necromancer, then Melee classes, Fighter, Barbarian, HexBlade etc, or the Skillful classes of Rogue, Scout, etc, and then there's the inbetween classes like Paladin, Ranger, and Bard.
Then there could be series Class Acts. Pick one class from each of the Complete Books to devote a couple pages to each. Or the Monster series, Draconomicon, Libris Mortis and Lords of Madness, cover some of the base classes in those.
I really like the Class Acts but I think there is so much more potential for that section.

I agree! How about once a month, a different base class from one of the Complete... books gets included in the Class Acts line-up? There are twelve base classes here to include, so assigning one a month (and making sure the Ninja is covered in the April issue in honor of its d20 debut in Dragon #318, April 2004) would ensure that each one gets at least a once-a-year mention.
These classes are not part of the SRD, and therefore are not Open Game. Because of this, Dragon and Wizards of the Coast-published material are the ONLY places we'll see new material for classes like the Spellthief, the Hexblade, or my favorite, the Warlock. (In the case of the warlock, where else will we see new invocations? I've written some myself for my own gaming, but if I knew Dragon was interested in supporting this Complete... class, I'd be putting together a submission this weekend!)
Please consider this addition to the Class Acts. This past month's (April 2005) humorous addition of the Commoner class didn't take away anything in terms of available pages or monthly content; adding one Complete... class a month would give me one more reason to count the days between issues.

I prefer class acts the way it is. If someone wants to write an article that is more in depth, it can either be split over multiple issues (like the Tokens of Faith articles) or expanded into something that can stand alone from the class acts section. I personally liked the Campaign Component articles, which could be another way of including non-core class (unless they've been axed entirely). Having one page for an idea for the core classes is great. Aside from the background ones (which aren't as useful to me), I've seen a lot of potential amongst the articles.
The only way other base classes might find their way into the section is with baby steps. The inclusion of the article for the commoner, which I found amusing, may be a step in that direction. If any other base classes are gonna be showing up in the class acts section, I'd be betting on the ninja. Simply because it showed up in the pages of Dragon and may be more accessible to more people than any of the Complete... books may be.

I completely agree to adding the new 'Complete...' classes to the 'Class Acts' section of the magazine. 12 classes, 12 issues a year; it works perfectly! If we include the Psionic core classes, you could either print a different one every three monthes, or put them on a rotating monthly basis. I understand how there is only a limited amount of space in an issue, and too much in print can make the game too complicated, but one of the most alluring aspects of the game is that the only limit to a campagin is the imagination of the players.

Well, that and a certain assistant editor in charge of Class Acts is relatively obsessed with ninjas... ;)
