City of Greyhawk Map?

Dungeon Magazine General Discussion

Well, I looked around for a while, but I coudn't find this thread anywhere else. Since this seems to be the place for both Greyhawk and maps, I'll ask here. Back issues of Living Greyhawk Journal #1, featuring a map of of the City of Greyhawk, have been on 'not available' status for a while. I was wondering (1) if any more will ever be published or (2) if Dungeon will ever reprint it or the like, since Greyhawk maps seem to be your bag now? Thanks.

I believe that Denis Tetreault has the map on his website located at Melkot.com

We currently have no plans to republish any of that material, alas. Ebay is probably your best bet, as the issue (Living Greyhawk Journal #2, not #1) is long out of print.

Maldin's site not only has the CoG map but he also did an undercity version of his map. AFAIK that is the only place to get it.

Dammit, I want new GH books! WotC sucks. :(

I would suggest to you that they are all Greyhawk books that come from WotC. Everything except for the campaign specific books (ie Forgotten Realms) is Greyhawk.

No. Just no. Not anymore that referening Shakespear in my LiveJournal makes said journal one of the Bard's lost plays. Referencing Greyhawk is not the same as developing it. I want more detail on the history, politics, and cultures of the world. Not a prestige class named after a random Greyhawk god that is not even given a place in the setting or a history there, despite the name.

Even if it does count as developing the WoG, it isn't going to be good development as long as the designers by and large aren't too interested or knowledgable about the setting.

And unless something has changed, the world assumed by the core books is not the World of Greyhawk but a variant that at least used to be internally called Greyhawk Light.

I'm all for having WotC producing more Greyhawk material.

Why can't they do a book for GH like they did for FR?

Even that alone would be good to have.

Mad props to the staff at Dungeon for the GH maps, and the GH adventures as of late.
