Best Article in Issue 324 - "Get More Bang For Your Bones"

Dragon Magazine General Discussion

This article by Joshua Cole was a great addition to the issue. The application of the animate dead spell in this manner was facinating. The combined forces of the Transmuter and Necromancer shed light on power plays that make D&D more interesting. The greatest aspect of this article is how it optimized game mechanics and roleplaying opportunities without creating new rules (or feats/skills/spells).

Looking forward to additional articles such as this one.

That was indeed an excellent article. I really have enjoyed Joshua Cole's articles, and I look forward to seeing more of his stuff in future issues. I liked the article for several reasons, not the least of which is that necromancers need all the help they can get!

Of Joshua's recent spate of published articles, I really liked this one the best.

I agree that this is definitely one of the best articles to come along in quite some time. The fact that the author took an existing part of the game and showed the reader how to utilize it more effectively, that's the type of article that is the most useful to those who can only afford the core books! Plus, I'm tired of seeing all-humanoid shaped skeletons and zombies in books and games. Hopefully, this article will point people in another direction.

Noted.

We're glad y'all liked it so much. :)

I really appreciate an article that makes better use of what we already have rather than introduce new rules (feats and pc's are running rampant). Please do more "tactical" type articles in each issue. The tactical side of the writing is what I enjoy in every "Under Command" segment.
