Haven't received any issues yet...

Customer Service

I'm from Brazil, and made my subscription in May. My first issue (322), as I could see in the site, was sent in the beginning of July, but I didn't receive it yet!! What could have happened? Has this issue been sent to me? I'm afraid that the 323 issue doesn't come too...

Pathfinder Adventure Path Subscriber

I subscribed almost 2 months ago as well and my issues were dispatched about 6 weeks ago but haven't appeared. 8 weeks is a very long time to wait for my subscription considering that I have seen Dungeon and Dragon magazines in my local newsagent for at least 6 weeks.

If they don't arrive then my newsagent won't be stocking them anymore and I'll be left without my magazines.

Why is the delay in delivery so long?

I'd just like to note that there's quite a delay for customers within the US as well, mine typically takes two and a half to three weeks from the website's ship date before I get it.

The old joke is, "Why's GK always so out of the loop? Oh, that's right, he subscribes to the magazine." snce all my friends buy theirs at the local game store weeks before I get mine

I'm sorry, but I haven't receive any e-mail from you these days. Haven't receive any magazines too...

Hello Alexandre,
I am an international subscriber and I am also sometimes having troubles receiving my regular subscriptions. However I normally contact Paizo's customer service and shortly receive replacements. Contact Jeremy and I can assure you he will arrange the issue and you will soon receive the missing magazines.

Alexandre, I sent the email to the email address you used to sign up on this forum. Apperently it did not work for some reason. These messageboards are not the place to discuss problems with individual subscriptions. Since I apparently can not get through to you normally, will you please send an email to customer.service@paizo.com so I can reply to you and solve this problem?

I would like to know how long one would have to wait until to contact customer service about a not delivered issue of Dungeon. I subscribed (Europe Subscription) about a month after #112 came out and the sbuscription states that Dungeon #114 (the first one I was to receive with the descritpion) was sent out to me at the date of release. Now should I wait any longer or is it time for an email to CS?

I thought I'd ask first before making some unneeded noise as I heard that it takes some time to send out the mags to Europe :)

Edit: Perhaps it would help people if paizo would give rough time estimations on the website for the delivery of their magazines. Perhaps something like "European subscriptions my take up to 5 weeks for delivery". I think that would clear things up a bit and it would minimize the posts from people like me that ask where their Dungeon mags are :)

Dark Archive

I have not renewed my subscription because of the delivery problems. Soome magazines came on time, others were months late. However, I have just received my last two outstanding magazines (June and July), albeit after receiving August and September.

From my dealings with customer services, they understand the problem and do their best to get it sorted, and eventually you will get all the magazines you are due (even if, as in my case, not in the right order!).

I just couldn't take the constant disappointment of checking my mail each day and finding my Dungeon still hadn't arrived, so I have placed an order with my local newsagent (from October onward).

This is actually posted on our website in the FAQ. The answer is that we generally allow eight weeks for overseas subscribers to receive their issues. This time period is based on the reports of our subscribers, and is the maximum time we allow.

We have recently implemented a new delivery system in Europe, that we hope will cut down on the delivery time. While the initial signs are promising we don't have enough information yet to know for sure. In any case if you don’t get your copy of 114 by September 14, go ahead and send us an email at customer.service@paizo.com

Thank you for the fast reply :) I was just concerned because others from Europe seem the have received #114 already, like Franck Leonardo who posted in the same forum did get that issue already two weeks ago.

When is the latest issue being mailed out to subscribers?

You can see when the next issue is to be mailed out for any of your subscriptions here or by clicking on My Subscriptions.

I have that feature turned on for my account; yet it doesn't tell me when my copy of Dragon will be shipping. It does say when dungeon will ship however.

I am a new subscriber (as of GenCon) so that could certainly be a factor in this.

I am a current subscriber in the UK (US military with APO address). I usually receive my Dragon subscription the week before the month of release. However, I have yet to receive 323 (September issue), whereas others are beginning to receive 324. Yet I can go to the base book store and see 323 in all its glory. Obviously, you can get the magazines over in a timely manner. Is there a problem with APO addresses that has recently cropped up?

I also subscribed to Dungeon on 29 July 04. Its now been five weeks without a magazine. I subscribed specifically to start with the new format (issue 114). Please explain why I have yet to receive a copy, advise if this will be an ongoing problem, and what kind of service I can expect in the future.

I sent an email to this address days ago (customer.service@paizo.com), and untill now no response came to me. Recently I received issue 323 (the firts in the new design), but not yet the 322 (the first of my subscription). Another important thing is that the master shield, with the 3.5 changes, would come with my first number, since I made my subscription in the promotional period. I'm posting these things here because I've no reponse from emails.

I received your email on September 2, and sent you a reply that same day. Since you never got it, I can only assume that your email service is not putting our emails through for some reason. I am still unwilling to post correspondence regarding individual subscriptions on these messageboards, please send me an alternate email address I can use to reach you.

I'm a guru? That’s awesome; I always wanted to be a guru :)

Anyway you were correct in your supposition before. The shipping date/final issue tracking system on the website doesn't start working until we print your first mailing label. Your first issue will be 325, which ships on 9/28/04. We print the mailing label for that issue 2 weeks before that date, on 9/14/04. So sometime on that day, you should see the shipping date for your first issue.

Any chance I can get 324? A friend of mine has an article in there. ;) If not, I'll go buy it off the rack. Getting 325 is cool, too - I have another friend appearing in that copy. :D

Sure as soon as we get our customer service copies of that issue in here, I will send you one and mark it off your subscription.

And that, Jeremy, is why you're a guru! :D

Thanks bunches!

**Just letting off steam I don't need a reply**

I subscribed about three months ago now and finally received my first Dungeon magazine last week.

Yippee!

Customer Service Guru Jeremy has been very helpful and has explained the reason for the delay but I'm fed up anyway.

I honestly would not have subscribed if I has known that it would take this long. I mean I am waiting for Dragon Issue 323 when 325 is out in the shops soon.

Jeremy has explained that the magazines are sent to distributers who send magazines to stores and then apply address labels to subscribers' issues. But 8 weeks!!!! Please.

I subscribed for two reasons:
1) So I would not miss an issue;
2) To make a cost saving.

While I get (will get, when they arrive) these two benefits they are offset by the following disadvantages:
1) I'm not getting to read the magazines that I am not missing for several months;
2) Everyone else in my gaming group gets to read Dragon first and wants to implement things from articles and I have no clue what they are talking about.

GRRR!

**RANT OVER**

Thanks for listening to my rant. Dungeon and Dragon magazines are great by the way. As I have now run out of patience I bet Dragon 323 has arrived on my doorstep when I get home from work today.

Jason

BTW. You may not be able to tell but this is slightly tongue in cheek. I'll wait for my subscription and put up with the delay. I'm not happy but I'm not furious either.

To be clear, this is only for subscribers in Europe (including the UK). All other subs are sent out directly from our printers.

One thing that hasn't been mentioned is the reason we do it that way. By sending European subscriber issues to a distribution point in the UK, we save a lot in postage, and can pass that savings on to you. It's why UK subscribers to Dungeon or Dragon pay $61.95 and the rest of Europe pays $71.95 for 12 issues. If we didn't use the UK distributor, the sub price would be $83.95 to all of Europe.

We are nonetheless working to improve delivery times worldwide.

I think I'd pay the extra $10 to get my subscription earlier. Just a suggestion but maybe we could be given the option when we subscribe.

Pay more for direct delivery $81
Pay less for slower delivery $71

Actually, I would probably have opted for the cheaper option but I'd know I was paying (or rather not paying) for the my decision.

I still think the magazines are great. It is just that the delivery service isn't great. I look forward to the improvements mentioned.
