Is it possible that there could be such a thing as a fake or intentionally faulty scroll -- one that a wizard PC finds and feels is the real thing, but when she activates it, it does not have the desired effect? I know that in the activation of any scroll, mishaps are a possibility -- but I'm talking about a straight up "piece of crap" scroll, where success is an impossibility.
Forgive me, I am only about a third of the way through reading the adventure, so it's possible that these questions are answered later, but they are bugging me so I thought I'd ask: Exactly what part of the ossuary have the cadavers been disappearing from? Were they fresh bodies or older? Are priests of Pharasma only present in the main ossuary part of the time? Has Svilennius been entering and exiting the main ossuary from the same door that seals off the lower level? How has he avoided detection? Thanks!
Is there an errata PDF for this? I'm on page 3 and have come across a sentence that doesn't make any sense: "Without warning the current runelord, an archmage named Karzoug, they retreated deep into the tunnels beneath the city, placing thousands of feet of stone between themselves and the ruin to come." I thought we were talking about one archmage, Karzoug, so who is "they"/"them"? |
