I prefer it how we've been doing it, but I am OK with the group initiative concept if you think it's warranted to help you track the rounds.

I would suggest that the invisible person gets the flanking bonus, but the other attacker does not, at least until the defender becomes aware that he's being flanked and diverts some attention away from the visible attacker towards the invisible one.

Love this post... So polite and eloquent that Amendithas:

Amendithas wrote:

As Zeke is being led from the holding cell, Amendithas speaks up, "Do you think you might retrieve my sword from Racker's Alley? I hope to still find a moment to run it through Dylan."

He'll give Zeke a sinister grin.

Dagger Identification:

On the fourth day of trying to identify the item with no luck, you get so completely frustrated, that you literally race down to the river and chuck the dagger into the middle of shark infested waters. You scream, "DAMN THIS INFERNAL THING!", as you punch the dock in frustration (injuring your hand for 2pts of damage), as the dagger quickly sinks into the water.

When you get back to your house, you feel emotionally and physically drained that the effort you've been putting in has all been for nothing.. (Take 4 Wisdom Damage)

Uhhh... jigga-what?!

So, I was thinking about the material-ruining failure Zeke made while crafting... The basic rule is that a single check is a week's worth of work, but they give you the option to do daily checks, which I did because I figured it wouldn't take Zeke a whole week to make a 25 gp item (it just about did). So, the rules don't really spell it out, but since I was making daily checks, I think Zeke would have only ruined 1/7 of half the raw materials, no?

Nnnnot exactly what he's asking. The Extracts per day, yes, you'd get those, but no, you wouldn't suddenly manifest new Extracts Known, any moreso than a Wizard suddenly manifests more Spells Known due to their + going up by 1.

Thanks. I kind of figured as much, but when I read the bit about all bonuses being retroactive when your mod increases, I thought it worth asking.

My bad... I didn't mean the number per day that I can use... I meant the number of "known" spells in my formulae book... Do I get retroactive "feebies" to add to my formulae book when my intelligence mod increases?

At L1,an Alchemist gets 2 formulae, plus a number of bonus formulae equal to his Intelligence modifier. If an Alchemist's Intelligence score increases later on, such that his modifier increases, does he gain retroactive bonus formulae? If so, do they need to be L1 formulae (all he would have had access to at level 1), or can they be of any level he has access to at the time of the ability score increase?

There's a bit written here about Intelligence that suggests that all bonuses are retroactive, but this seems like a character-creation only sort of thing... I imagine it's the same for an Alchemist as it is for a Wizard...

Not dispellable, yeah... but can the alchemist dismiss the effects prematurely? The mutagen carries penalties, and lasts an obnoxiously long time (10 min/level), so, for example, my Gnome Saboteur might get into a situation where he wants his strength back after having consumed his Chameleon Mutagen... is he stuck with the effects until it wears off, or can he dismiss it early?

One thing to remember with touch-range spells is that the touch-attack is a separate action from the casting (though all included within 1 SA). So, the caster (1) casts the spell (which is when a counter spell could be done), and then (2) makes the touch attack. If done together in the same action it provokes two AoOs. After casting a touch-range spell, the caster can "hold the charge" indefinitely, but the spell is already cast, so no longer able to be countered. So, I say, countering a touch range spell is not laughably infeasible.

FYI - I started using the "list" and "favorites" features of the boards... If you go into my wisepeppy profile and click on the "wishlists" tab (a bit of a misnomer, as it is not just wishlists), you'll see my lists. I made one for my own purposes to keep tabs on important posts related to Ryder's character. The other list may be of interest to the rest of you - I'm going to add any posts that are important to gameplay to that list (i.e. meetings with Cressida where she lays it out for us).

As far as my favorites, that's a little more informal, but I'll try to limit my favorites to only those posts that are still pertinent to where we're currently at in the game.

Ralof double-moves 30 ft to here: MAP

I'd say it depends on whether the choking just stops him from breathing (in which case I'd say he should get some benefit of having some breath to hold, though perhaps truncated because he didn't have an opportunity to prepare to do so - maybe half the rounds that would be normal for breath holding), or if the 'choking' is so extreme that it's restricted bloodflow to the brain (in which case, he'd probably loose conciousness almost immediately).

I copied all the (apparently) unclaimed items on the Fishery tab of the loot spreadsheet over to the Exchanges tab to consolidate things. Everything is now crossed off the Fishery tab, and it has been hidden.

Also, I'll be clearing out the "For Trade" tab as well - make sure you take everything that's yours that we purchased.

CLAIM YOUR STUFF!!!

I'm totally confused by the two maps

Is that a site setting? That's probably my issue... I'll find that.

...and Grecko, I see now what the Harrow thing you're talking about is. I added it to Ryder's status.

The post where I asked the question about the times says I posted yesterday at 1:25 AM, when in fact it was probably about 9:25 PM.

I do have my Harrow Draw result showing in my Status... what else are you looking for?

Got it.

Why are the times on the posts so messed up? I'd kinda like to know when you guys are posting...

Sounds good. I'll do my best to get a post a day done.

Grecko... when we post in gameplay... 1st or 3rd person? "I enter the room"... or "Ryder enters the room"?

I added a spoiler to Ryder's "About" section that's just a little blurb about his performance skill, which is a combination of percussion and singing put together with a little comedic flair. I don't attest that Ryder is skilled at percussion, singing, AND comedy. By themselves, Ryder's ability in each of these isn't anything worth talking about. It's not my intent to try and get three performance skills for one, but rather to have a performance skill that's an "act", which happens to involve several different aspects. ...cool?

FYI - I added a spoiler to the "About Ryder Koss" section that describes the Harrow-Draw part of my Harrowed feat. I noted the suit-to-dice-roll assignments, and I put them in the standard order as they appear on our character sheets: Str,Dex,Con,Int,Wis,Cha. This puts Dex and Con in opposite order from how they appear in the Harrowed feat description, but I figure this will be easier to keep track of. I suspect the order shown in the Feat description was an oversight.

Starting Money: 2d6 ⇒ (6, 3) = 9 x10

My character idea is a male human Sorcerer of Maestro bloodline (bloodline explanation is entirely unknown to him). He comes from the impoverished side of the Korvosan population, but he makes his living among the wealthy, by performing (singing or musician - undecided) in well-to-do establishments in the affluent parts of Korvosa. He's lived in Korvosa all his life, yet he finds the by-the-rules attitude of Korvosa rather stifling. He's made some money on the side doing small tasks for some of the organized crime in Korvosa. He is probably chaotic-good or neutral good, and doesn't see too much harm in a little criminal activity to make ends meet, in particular if it's at the expense of the wealthy, who he both admires, and is also disgusted by. His background trait would be something along the lines of the "Unhappy Childhood" - as a teenager, he had done some work for Gaedren Lamm, but was double-crossed; perhaps was promised payment, position, or leniency upon his family, but was betrayed by Gaedren; payment stolen, he or his family beaten and left for dead by Gaedren's thugs. He's left that behind him now, living his life day to day, trying to earn a fair living and staying away from Gaedren's influence by laying low, self-training in his profession for perfroming (I know, conflicts with "laying low")... but something will draw out his buried need for vengeance... He'd have either the +1 Reflex save from the tortured background, or the +2 Spellcraft check from the Framed background (from the self-training aspect for earning a living, and honing his sorcery skills that have only recently manifested).

Are we to choose a Background Trait?

I found a Google doc template, Epizephyrii's Pathfinder Character Sheet By Epizephyrii:

https://drive.google.com/previewtemplate?id=0AjfaolOnvs6gdEZNenNDdVBTSDBPME 04S1JranRSSEE&mode=public

The sheet will automate a lot of the rules for you, and you can share it on your Google Drive so that Grecko can have a look at it when he needs to.
