Is it intentional or oversight that the spellcasting classes (bard, cleric, druid, sorcerer and wizard) have significantly harder time progressing in the class archetype options due to their lower amount of class feats?

It seems rather unfair that part of their class feat budget is forced on (high level) spellcasting and they're gimped out from archetype or multiclass options other classes enjoy.
