I agree that the original actors would of course be too old. But IIRC Lucas drafted the storyline for 9 episodes from the beginning so I my question is if you think Disney intends to finish this cycle or if they might go back to the age of the republic for example.

He didn't draft it. Just made some allusions to its existence in a few interviews over the years. I doubt he has more than 3 pages of stuff written down.

Overall I'm quite happy about Star Wars finally leaving the talentless fingers of Lucas. Hopefully Disney finds a good mix of writers, actors and directors to do the new movies.

If the Disney line of Marvel movies is anything to go by Star Wars could be as good again as it ever was.

Actually he did draft it and has several notebooks on it.

I came up with an idea for a fighter, but made a couple changes.
Name:Manannan
Race:Human (Bronze age Celt)
Class: Fighter
Level: 1
Str: 19 (after adding the racial mod)
Dex: 18
Con: 17
INT: 18
WIS: 15
CHA: 16
(I rolled the stats with 4d6 and dropping the lowest)

Feats:
I dropped the fighter proficiencies to wear Medium and Heavy Armor, in return I picked up 2 extra feats.
Weapon Focus (Great Sword)
Dodge
Power Attack
Combat Expertise
Self-Sufficient

Skills
Climb 1
Handle Animal 1
Survival 1
Profession (fisherman) 1
Swim 1
Heal (cc) 1

Because of the time period, and the culture I did not think he should wear medium or heavy armor.

What do you think? Should the trade off be legal?

Beautifully painted... not a big fan of the anime-style, jutting-out hair on the figure itself tho.

Just imagine that is what her hair would look like after dropping a fireball spell that had been maximized, enlarged and enhanced in front of her.

Find a copy of Task Force Games Central Casting: Heroes of Legend.

2 people marked this as a favorite.

Maybe it should be renamed "Draconic Halitosis"?

If it helps, there were several articles in Dragon Magazine from the early days on this subject.

How about a Troblin. An cross between a troll and a hobgoblin. With the best of both. caused by too many love potions and too much ale.

IF any of you can track it down, I would recommend Central Castings books.

...six times. You somehow beat the odds and managed to roll eighteen(assuming 3d6, twenty-four if 4d6) ones during character creation. That means, before racial modifiers, you've got a three in each ability score.

You decide to take this up as a challenge and try building a character that's as effective as you can build it.

How would you do it? What will you make?

This is just something that came to my mind. I was thinking the worst-case scenario could be rather interesting. Sometimes you're dealt a bad hand, but there are those who can make wonderful things with it.

I would say you have a severe case of "dice lice" and should check to see if someone has severely messed up your dice.

I am running an Egyptian themed campaign using the Testament RPG and the original Judges Guild City State of the Invincible Overlord sets using Pathfinder. It is actually doing quite well. For spellcasting, all spellcasters are wordcasters.

Actually, dealing with both the pegasus and the cavalier are easy. Find a nest of griffins. They like the taste of horses and pegasus. Cast protection from good on all of them and lure the cavalier and pegasus to them. That will solve the problem nicely.

About "River"

The Proust Questionnaire: Golorion edition:

-What was your childhood like?
Short. I was happy, I remember that always dancing, and sharing stories. Until my parents were killed by bandits. Then I was packed off to Oppara to live with Aunt Lucy. When we didn't see eye to eye, she packed me off to the academe and every summer I was sent to study in Absolom. I was angry, as only impetuous youth can be. But there listening to the sagas about about the gods something struck a chord...

-What is your relationship to the gods and religion?
There are a great many gods, and goddesses. Some noble and worthy of respect like Iomadae, others such as Zon Kuthon deserve only contempt. Of all the pantheon, the one I hold dear to my heart is Saranrae. It's through her teaching I learned to let go of the hate that was building in my heart. She is temperance and patience in all things, compassion and peace are her greatest virtues. Yet there is a fire in my heart and hers for those who will not repent!
After graduating from the academe I spent years purifying myself with studying at the tempering hall. Eventually I took my vows and I never looked back!

-What is your physical appearance, bearing, mannerisms, and quirks?
I'm twenty something, lithe, wiry and I can move like a dancer. I'm quick with a smile or encouraging word. I tend to keep my hair short and my beard shorter. I know if my saber is sharp enough to cut my beard, it's sharp enough to deal with those devoted to evil. Above all I truly love is to tell a story, particularly to children. The look of delight on their faces is magical!

-Do you have an easy way with strangers?
But of course! Oppara is quite the melting pot and then there is Absolom! I met many strangers and befriended more than a few, many proved to have interesting stories to tell...

-Do you play well with others?
I did lean to play in an ensemble although I always preferred a solo performance, I spent a while in a dancing troupe too. Oh That's not what you meant is it? No. Well I value strong hearts at my side! Vows a problem? Well I do take them seriously, but I'm more tolerant than you might think. I hold myself to a higher standard in the hope others will be inspired by example.

-What draws you to the life of an adventurer?
My roots were cut when I was young. I have never been one to stay anywhere for long, perhaps that's why? Or maybe it's because I love stories... While being passed around between relatives I grew up on tales of knightly honor and derring-do!

-Do you identify with a particular animal or element?
Fire! I worship Saranrae, what did you expect! :) I expect I get that from my mother, she came from way up north and always had a thing for being cosy.

-What do you find creepy?
Shadows, the dark - particularly when I can't see. I once saw a wayang shadow puppet show, ugh there was something about it that was just wrong! I had to leave! The other thing I find creepy, and I know I'm not the only one here, are clowns. They're supposed to make you laugh, but as a child I they terrified me. Turns out most of the people playing clowns have very sad stories, there's just something wrong about the whole thing if you ask me.

-What specific goals do you have, if any?
To travel and see more of the world and help people! I always had an affinity for the mountains and the north has been an object of fascination.

-What secrets do you have?
I'm scared that I may not be worthy for the trust Saranrae has placed in me. Yet she knows my heart!

-What does someone else know about you that you do not?
River is not my real name. I was borne in Westcrown named Kaleb Arvanxi. My parents where assassinated as an attempt to intimidate my grandfather Aberian Arvanxi, it didn't work.

-Do the ends justify the means?
Mmm that's complicated! Usually no, but there are exceptions. For example sacrificing oneself is generally frowned upon, but if by doing so you save an innocent then perhaps it could be justified.
