That's just the thing, we have access to any ten samples of our choosing, excluding celestial beings and things of that kind. With that said, they can be for anything! You could create allies, mindless beasts who destroy things, plagues, specimens for further study in hopes of replicating their attributes for genetic enhancement, pets, mounts, or anything else you can think of. You can control what species, gender, and age the creature is if that helps. So yeah, 10 coolest and 10 summons would both be great for different things I suppose.

Oooh, all good picks! I'm liking the Skittermanders, Anhamut, and Symbiends.

Our DM recently gave my crew access to a genetic replicator capable of creating any creature that can be found within the pact worlds and even some from before the gap. This includes anything from bacteria, plants, animals, and even humanoid creatures. Celestial beings are out of the question, but while producing clones of sentient beings is frowned upon, they still can be made. Without going into all of the details, he told us that Vampires were not found as they were considered more of a virus, while werewolves were since there were so many different forms each, all seemingly more animal like and somewhat common. Seeing each of our seven crew members was given access to any 10 samples, I've been racking my brain with which ten I would choose. And so I ask all of you- Given the opportunity to choose any 10 life forms, which would you breed and why?

Since stars do collapse into black holes, it is just like choosing which form/point in the cycle you are if you were the star itself. While you have the understanding and potential for all of the abilities, you yourself are a fixed concept. I see it as more of a personality thing, just like how you can have all of the same emotions as me, yet people tend to relate one to you more since that tends to be how you regularly seem in your usual state. As for the pure energy doing physical damage, just think of hard light like a Green Lantern. Sure they can change shapes and whatnot but it still forms into a solid base before anything else.

I'm actually running one now at level 4 who has been a whole lot of fun. I went with armor and buffed his str and dex to add to AC and took the Improved Disarm feat. This way he can just run around with a whip taking people's weapons while (hopefully) not taking too much of a beating. While it may sound terrible for combat, androids and solarian's both have a lot of fun survivability options which allow for effortless space and underwater combat along with a few other things. I used his extra armor upgrade to add some more resistances, and grabbed up Dark Matter along with Stellar Rush. That and a bunch of movement to get in and out of where I want. It isn't a stat based build so don't worry about the same things as you would with a soldier or something of the sort. You can outlast everything. It takes a bit of strategizing but so long as you play it right, they can be awesome.

Solarians with the Stellar Rush ability make a charge without the penalties as a standard action. My two questions here being, would that include the movement penalties, effectively allowing you to charge and spear someone 5 feet from you or around a tree? And my second being, now that it is a standard action, would I be able to use it as a full attack and hit 2-3 more people around the field? If so, it would allow you to run at 6 times your speed while still attacking three times each round to hit anyone you wanted (although provoking attacks of opportunity if the enemies aren't dealt with on each hit).

I would think so, honestly. They would still be "touching you" whether willing or not.

I see that Ultimate Graviton says that "Any graviton revelation (but not zenith revelation) you have that targets a single creature can now simultaneously target two creatures, who must be within 20 feet of each other". So given that most Graviton abilities target yourself, would you then be able to give each of those to an ally/second creature within that same distance? For instance, would I be able to shield an ally with Dark Matter as long as they stayed nearby, or give my Vesk friend a fly speed using Defy Gravity so that I don't have to carry him up a mountain myself?

And while I'm on the subject, while I saw that someone else had previously asked this, I have never seen an answer as to what maneuverability Defy Gravity would have. I'm inclined to say that it would be perfect as they can control gravity itself all around their body, and my character has an average speed equal to most things with perfect maneuverability. At the same time, it could be average or worse due to the fact that they might only have enough control to push the whole area around them towards one direction.
