Thanks both for the help! The Ooze Uhm before publication doesn't mean is broken, doesn't it? (i don't want to create issues in my party or to the GM) In any case i will discuss that with GM.
I've a question about Oozes: Would it hurt if someone caress them on the surface (like you do with kitties)? The problem i have is that it doesn't exist a base form who match the form of Oozes, and i don't really know how to fix that. The Alchemist I have to admit i've never tried this class, but always being curious about his potential.
What i like the most of the alchemist is the "polymorphing" aspect, here's the question: are they better than other casters on polymorphing? The Bladebound it was exiciting till i read that the blade "must match the owner alignment"; i already had an idea about playing with an evil blade that wanted me to pass to the evil-side.
The Spellscar Oracle Right now i've only one doubt about this nice class: aren't the magic options a little too much negative-oriented? Is there a way to increase/change this list (adding some would be nice)? The Seer Oracle I don't mind "being railroaded" with a vision or so, honestly; in any case would be pretty useless, because we take decision as a group, and, even if the quest is pretty clear at the moment (so it's very hard to miss something), when we get out "of the road" the GM just build that part of adventure around us. "Calling the Gods", i definitely love that!
What i noted is the lack of divination in my party: we have to find that relic and probably a Demon's Sir took it, but we aren't able to trace it, so we have to "Knocking on Hell's Doors".
I've found some issues regarding the SorcerOoze: 1) The Ooze, taking the Jelly Ochre for example, has a very slow movement speed; will this slow all the party while travelling? 2) Assuming we returns on the material plane alive, will my new animal companion cause some issues with people around the globe? He's always there, i cant hide him So i have started to read the summoner class, hoping to fix those issues, but i can't really find a way to build an eidolon with the ooze appearance, nor qualities...is it real they made that impossible to do?
I want first to thanks everyone for giving a though on it! The Cave Druid is nice, but the powers it brings aren't useful to create an Ooze or to have one on your side, but focus more on controlling those already existing, that means i should hope to face soon some of them, or never use mostly of my powers.
The Paladin i will surely think on that, playing a paladin is always a challenge and we already have one on our side (or just there to punish/control us?).
The Spellscar Oracle pretty awesome mistery, it brings the chaotic/wild idea i had about magic; the only Cons seems to be the bonus spells it grants, being anti-mage specific. The SorcerOoze a really awesome feat i've some question about: Is that took from Paizo content? Having my Ooze 0 INT will just be able to follow my orders but unable to understand me?
Hello, i'm Ronzo and i'm a goblin...or i was a goblin :C Recently died on a homemade campaign, now looking for a new character to bring to the board, and seeking for help on what to play and how to build it. I'm usually very good at creating PCs with flavour, while i'm completely unable to optimize a character, ending up all the time with nice characters completely useless in combat. I still prioritize flavour on optimizing, but doing both things will be pretty awesome, and for doing such a thing i will need your help, dear reader. I will start describing a bit the actual situation of the campaign:
The Dungeon Master suggested me to use the Tiefling race, because is more easier to introduce my character in this plane, and will have the right flavour at the right time. We're travelling with an Ancient Dragon (i believe he's good-aligned, white or silver i think, or the good version of one of those). We usually (in our material plane) face powerful enemies, with lots of HP and TONS of damages (died many times because of that, those creatures always have many attacks and a very good DPS potential), but a special mention to the evildoers must made: they have powerful amulets who grants them powers, and the Dungeon Master usually equip all his casters very well. Another thing very important is that we have a paladin in group, who's smiting everything is evil and destroying all evil objects he can find (he usually use his detect evil like a toxic uses drugs), and i think he play more a Legal Stoopid, just smiting, smiting and punishing without thinking on what he's doing (already happened he did wrong things, even not really according to his moral code). We also have a cleric, who's playing more on the fact "if it's not 100% good, but is a evil thing we need to accomplish a bigger good thing, worth using" (i hope you can understand what i mean, i'm not so good in english). About me and what i like:
I don't like animals (companion or so) but i love monsters(especially Oozes, even if i dont know if it's possible to get those, maybe as cohorts or companion or with a magic item, i don't really know), i believe having some creature on my side could help me with the roleplay and to create funny situations. I like the "Wild Side of Magic", with that i mean the idea of unpredictability of magic while someone cast a spell, ending up with some effect. I like Intelligent Items because i believe they can bring a big contribute to roleplay. I believe the fact on this being an homemade campaign is a good fact, because we have a lot of possibilities to keep working characters who are "out of schemes", especially because the Dungeon Master is willing to let us play what we like to play, trying to help us building the world around our characters. Well, thanks for reading "this wall of text", if you leave a though will make me very happy; everyone's idea could help! |
