Level 5 Antipalidin when bitten.
No leveling up since bit.

So, if the character was a level 5 when bitten, the spawn template would add CR2 to the character making them a CR7 (5 from the normal leveling and 2 for the spawn). This would not allow them to move forward with their class advance until level 8 or CR8?

I guess I am asking, does a spawn template just get applied without concerns of exp and future leveling plateaus?

I was able to apply the Vampire Spawn template using the Monster Codex option, but now I have gained enough exp to level up.

What are the rules for leveling a player character with the Vampire Spawn template?

Utilizing Hero Lab, as so many of us do, it seems to think that I should just pick a class to advance and move on with life, but I need to provide a better answer to my GM before doing so.

I have about 36K exp points and HL says I should be at level 7 with the V.S. template.

Any ideas?

I am a Cavalier who's mount has died. After a week of mourning, I found one rode by a non-common speaking creature. Does the horse need to speak my language for me to take this horse as mine to ride in battle? Or, do I have to take a point in Linguistics and learn the horse's trained language for me to operate it?

I say there is a 1 in 20 chance to roll a 20. Even if you roll a hundred times, it will always be 1 in 20 each time.

On the other side of the table, they believe the odds of rolling multiple 20's consecutively increases the odds.

What math person out there would like to show off and answer this one?

Weaponwand would work if I could make it permanent. Otherwise, I would take a round to install the wand, which wouldn't address the primary issue of getting rid of the "draw wand" action.

People are annoying. Nevertheless, I am trying to dispense the retrieving of the wand before I have to activate it...then ready the bow (if not done so) and fire the next round.

Hello All, Can you build a bow with a wand or two built in? That would allow you to skip the pulling the wand part out, yes?

I believe Foeclan in the winner here. A Mass Suggestion spell with a metamagic rod of range can get me where I need to be and I don't need to fret the fact that the adventurers will get a hold of something overwhelming.

I am the GM, so I am going to create something I guess. Don't Tell Paizo.

I might just build on the spell "Message" and make the group whispered to instead of magically drawn to them. As long as the folks get to where they need to be.

Right now I can alter whatever class I need to get to a work-a-round. It is a home game and if I need to just create a magic item, I will do that. I felt I should at least give it a try and find something that does what I would like it to do. I desire to have a chunk of folks be pulled to a location magically or other.
This is a 7th level game, but again, not being held to that.
I am surprised that PS doesn't have something like this already.
I have been looking at metamagic rods of range bump with Charm Person, Mass, but only increases to 100'.

DM-Blake, I'm sure that would work, but I'm trying to be a little more discrete about it.
It would be grand if I could find something that will draw people to them from a distance to them. Magic item or other.

5 old factions and now 7 new ones. Who belongs to Grand lodge and Silver Crusade?

After doing a number of searches, I am still unable to find the faction conversion list. Anyone have a more targeted suggestion as to where I can find the "what is what" now?

OK, but those factions don't exist anymore, so how do you determine who gets what handout? Do you just randomly disperse those notes? Recently I sat at a table with all new factions with no one being of the old social order.

Now that faction missions (and most of their factions as well) are a thing of the past, do you just dispense with using the handouts? Also, should you just pick the murderer before hand?

Does a dude with dimensional steps get a shot at side stepping a dimensional anchor beam before it gets to him, or unlike arrows and other range weapons it locks him in place?

During the final encounter, there is a set of stairs traveling 100' down with a run of 20'. That's more of a ladder than stairs.
Would a character need to use 2 hands to traverse the stairs or find it necessary to make a DC check of some sort?

When a Bard uses their performance Inspire Courage and applies bonuses to "weapons to hit and damage", what does "weapons" include? Does a wand that deals damage be considered a weapon?

I am running 04-25, The Secrets Stones Keep, and see there are maps with the one square = 10 feet scale. This is not too uncommon in Pathfinder, but how do you print or even deal with a map that is as large as or larger than the table? I get it, Dwarves are over compensating for their diminutive size and need rooms over 200 feet wide, but hey I’m just a human and need to have something for the minis.
Suggestions?

What are the procedures for dealing with dead players in a module? I am running Carrion Hill and I am guessing there will be casualties. If they do not have the PP to return or other issues, would you let them return as a pregen and earn either less gold or no prestige awards at the end?
...or just out of the mod all together?

I was hoping that there was a way to make the string instrument into something like a +1, +2, etc which would add to a bards DC's. It seems that melee weapons can be made more powerful so why not a bards weapon.

Is there a dictionary somewhere? Really, because I would like to know where I could find such a beast. I have been hoping to find a book, download, or online reference to all of the names of the cities and characters one finds while playing pathfinder. I feel like I am guessing all the time.
If there isn’t one, I would like to ask Paizo to offer a regularly updated, free online Pathfinder dictionary for anyone that has ever bought something from them. The name, in either IPA or broken into some other phonic language, and a sentence or two about where or who these people are found. That’s it. It would be wonderful. The Inner Sea guild was a good start, but having an online something would also make sense.

Can a character harvest poison from summoned creature or does the poison disappear with the poison when gone. I would think that if a character has been stung, the poison stays with them even if the monster has left the building (dead). This would be an economical method of acquiring poison.

Thanks Derek for that link. That looks cool for online play. The maps with the player/GM versions would be great, but I was thinking about the electronic touch screen "tabletop" MS put together a few month/years back.
