It says "You’ve become an expert in all crafts..." does it give expert in crafting?

I'm planning to make a new person for the play test but realized I depend so much on Pathbuilder, which doesn't support the part test. So, what are people using to make their sheets?

I have a goblin with this race feat and looking for best way to maximize it. Any suggestions? He's a fighter if that matters

Besides the caster dedication feats, is there any way to get nature to expert at level 2 for a fighter so I could get bonded animal?

I'm going to be starting a game and am debating how to make a goblin, protector of the weak, former slave. Basic thoughts are Miner background and junk tinker and debating fighter or champion. I'd be open to other things but want to be and to defend others and make my own (junk) stuff.

Does junk tinker work with shields?

Just saw the announcement and that there will be info at Gary Con. I was wondering how I can make sure to find you to look at the new stuff.

I know some folks just hate 3PP (and with good reasons in some cases) and I was wondering what everyone thought were balanced 3pp publishers and/or books/classes.

Thanks for the time,

My friend and I are interested in joining a play by post group. We could each post at least once a day.

We both are about even on liking a balance between RP and combat. He likes RP more and I like combat more.

We'd like a long term game (which is why we didn't go for PFS PBP).

Either message me or reply here.

Thanks for the time,

I know in D&D 4E they released rules for having no magic items in the game and instead gave the players bonuses to hit, saves, damage, etc at certain levels. Is there anything like this for Pathfinder?

I know RAW that Dirty trick doesn't have any affect on alignment but something about a lawful good paladin (or monk) using it doesn't jive right with me.

What do you guys think, should dirty trick affect/change alignment if used all the time?

I just wanted to verify my math is correct and my reading of the rules is correct.

Background:
I have a halfling monk (underfoot adept/maneuver master). I know technically they aren't allowed but the DM allowed it since adept makes you pick a feat you get from maneuver master.
Str: 10
Dex: 18
Feat: Agile Maneuvers

So if I'm doing my math correct at first level his CMB to trip is:
1 (BaB because mm lets you use level as BaB) -1 (size) + 4(dex) +2 (Improved trip) = 6, if I flurry its +4 and my attack is +1 (size only).

If I can get flanking, I get a +2 to this because anything that affects an attack affect maneuvers correct?

If I'm flanking and I get him prone, I (and my flanking ally) get +6 to hit him?

Thanks for verifying,
odd

As I stated in one of my previous post I am starting a low magic campaign and decided to go with a halfling monk with underfoot adept and manuever master (I know technically they aren't allowed but the DM allowed it since mm just adds feats).

We did a 20 point buy and I did my stats thusly:
Str 10
Dex 18
Con 11
Int 10
Wis 16
Cha 9

I took weapon finesse as my 1st level feat. Any tips on how to go? I was thinking mostly going with combat maneuver stuff that doesn't depend on size and picking up Improved Trip and 6 and probably agile manuevers along the way (level 3 maybe?).

I don't need to think much beyond 8th level since it's going to take along time to get there. I also don't expect to pick up any magic items so those suggestions won't help (even though I really want an Agile Amulet of Mighty Fists).

I know some builds and classes are heavily magic dependent, but I am going to be playing in a low magic campaign so I am wondering what classes are least affected by not having magic items, besides casters?

I am playing a game and I got my DM to let me play an artificer. I'm planning on taking the Master tinker gnome trait and so I thought it would be cool to have him bust out random crazy weapons. I was thinking his normal weapon would just be a repeating crossbow of some kind. I would have liked to bust out the ripsaw glaive but he won't have the str I don't think (20 pt buy, so I'm thinking int and dex as the majors). Any other fun/weird weapons he could bust out?

So I don't get the point in this ability when so you add Meta magic feats to item creations?

So my sister is playing a cleric but she isn't feeling much more than a band aid. This is the stuff she can't change:

Level 6 Human Cleric
Sun and Healing domains (Sarenrae)
Stats:
Str 14
Dex 10
Con 13
Int 18
Wis 18
Cha 18

She kind of wanted to do a battle cleric but with a 14 str I'm not sure how viable that is.

Any suggestions?

I've always like crafters but they didn't make it over to Pathfinder (Artificer, Effigy master, Techsmith, etc).

So my question is if I wanted to build a crafter what would folks recommend?

Also, I don't think there's a way to get something similar to a Gondsman (Techsmith) but figured I'd ask. I could make a construct and improve it, but that seems pretty expensive to do. Am I wrong about that?

I want to make a guy that uses words of power and is charisma based and sorcerer seems the obvious choice.

I want to make a blaster and tank if possible, blaster would be my first preference. I will be at level 7 and want to be effective at that level. I plan to read the guides over next few days but I know there are many folks far more knowledgeable than me.

Thanks,
odd

I know that under each races you can see all their favored class bonuses, but is there a spot under class where you can see the favored class bonuses for the different races for that class?

1 person marked this as a favorite.

What are some of the funnest to play (so not necessarily optimized) builds and/or archetypes you have run across/made?
