Sorry for thread necromancy, but do we also go by "rule of whatever was published last" in regards to Towns of the Inner Sea saying the Night of Silver Blood occurred in 4712 despite Guide to Darkmoon Vale saying it occurred in 4707?

I've seen this asked somewhere else before but didn't really see a definitive answer.

This also raises the question of the timeline behind Crown of the Kobold King since Towns says Elara's Halfway House burned down shortly after the Night of Silver Blood which would put it way after CotK, but I understand adventures aren't generally factored into the timeline.

Okay, so my players are pretty odd. They managed to use Sleep spells to get some goblins captured during the attack on Sandpoint. And now they want to start a plantation/work camp/penal colony for the Goblins. For what, who knows? You know, besides making money; one of the characters is a Deverin, so the intention is the grow crops for the brewery. Their idea is that it's more efficient to let the still-living goblins live and work to repent for their sins. Or something. There is some issue with individual characters being okay with it, but mostly we're dealing with that. I'm just wondering if this idea is even kosher. Obviously I'd have to do a lot of work to make it go well, but I just don't know whether to even entertain the idea.

And no, it's not even a joke.

I'd also find some other possible people that the Chopper could be. Otherwise, it's a murder mystery with one suspect, and those aren't fun.

Thanks. At least two PCs will be Youth age at the time, so I'm not sure how much murder mystery solving will be going on, but I suppose this is necessary advice regardless, if only to keep the players themselves on their toes.

That's about it. Kendra Deverin maybe?

I thought of her two seconds after I posted but didn't bother editing. Thanks. I also thought I had a pretty good list, but if anyone else has any more input, I'll be happy to take it.

I intend to run RotRL sometime shortly. It is my intention to first, however, run a prologue of sorts during the time of the Late Unpleasantness. I know this has done before, thus I already have ideas on what to do despite not knowing yet how to integrate the PCs.

After the five year gap between the Late Unpleasantness and the Swallowtail Festival, I intend to introduce the PCs to almost all of the NPCs that hadn't been introduced during the prologue, and even reintroduce some that had, such as Sheriff Hemlock and Das Korvut (intending to use Chopper Isle side quest).

My question is, who would you say is most important to introduce during the Late Unpleasantness time period? The obvious answers are Nualia and Ezakien Tobyn, the named Chopper victims, Hemlock, Korvut, Casp Evertin, anyone else that may have died, and possibly the Kaijitsus.

Who else would you advise are important enough to be introduced during the prologue sequence?
