![]() You are a young, small, but mighty golem. Your products speak for themselves when it comes to questions of quality and inclusion. I am grateful for all your hard work, enhancing my favorite pastime. Your staff and management that I met at both PaizoCon and Gencon are a joy to interact with. You are composed of people (a Flesh Golem?!?) that are capable both of great work and sometimes mistakes. Both can be true and it is ok. You will learn and evolve; that’s what young, small golems do. I wish you a happy Gencon and to receive some grace during difficult times. Please keep putting out more and more content for me to buy. ![]()
![]() My order 21650010 has been pending since December 30th (when I fixed the CC info). What does that mean? Is there anything I can do to force it to be processed? Do I just need to wait and be patient? I can be patient (believe it or not :) ). I’m just confused and really want my order. Thank you in advance. ![]()
![]() Just wondering when this error will get fixed. it’s been there for over a week.
Wishing Paizo the best during these difficult times. ![]()
![]() I’m glad WoTC is catching up with Paizo on this topic. Wish they used Ancestry instead of People to avoid confusion. But I’m most glad they are going to follow Paizo’s lead and hire a more diverse staff:

![]() Concordance of Rivals p. 9 does a good job of emphasizing that, for the most part, the “vague hints and hidden meanings”, that an Imot is compelled to give mortals about impending doom, will either inspire anxiety or often be figured out “far too late”. This implies there are times when mortals can interpret an Imot’s signs in time to avoid doom. Given that we are currently in the Age if Lost Omens, where according to PathfinderWiki “no major prophecy comes true”, is this a contradiction if an Imot predicts a major catastrophe that is interpreted and avoided by PCs? ![]()
![]() If you run 5E in Golarion, like I do, you are already system agnostic when it comes to campaign material. So, I strongly encourage you to take advantage of the this deal over at Humble Bundle. Some day, when I have time, plan to post more about my lessons learned. But in the mean time you have 14 days for this offer. ![]()
![]() For any of you attending Gencon this year, I wanted to let you know that I'll be running a 5E D&D session based in Sandpoint (RPG19145897). It will be on Friday, August 2nd at 9am. If you're interested, keep an eye out for it when the event list drops so you can add it to your wish list for May 19th event registration. Title: Sandpoint - Bottled Souls Description:
An original adventure that takes in Paizo's Pathfinder Galorion campaign setting, specifically Sandpoint Light of the Lost Coast, retooled for 5E. The following conversation will be used for the deities: https://www.tribality.com/2015/09/04/deities-of-pathfinders-golarion-for-dd -5th-edition/ ![]()
![]() After having just run a two year campaign in Kae Maga, using City of Strangers and AP63, The Alysiam Stone, I find myself wanting more details on this city. For a GM/DM it is simply rich story telling. What do I want from my Paizo overlords? A box set containing:
Mostly, I want that 3D cardboard map. Please..... ![]()
![]() Sorcifically, I'm interested in the Italiano version of the Beginner Box (Pathfinder Gioco di Ruolo: Set Introduttivo) both the box and PDFs. Does anyone know how? All I find is eBay but I prefer a more reliable source. On a side note, it seems to me the translations are a key selling point. I would think it would make sense to sell such product on this site and press that advantage, expanding the player base use of this site. ![]()
![]() Given that that Golarion has edged out FR as my favorite setting, it is natural that I would set my first 5th Ed campaign there. I am running Princes of The Apocalypse and wanted the rich NPCs, gods, and setting details that Paizo excels at. As much as WoTC talks about story being important, I have yet to see it done well in their products. I hope someday they partner with Paizo in writing some 5th Ed APs because I plan to keep playing with the 5th Ed rule set for a long long time. I've located the four cult facilities (referred to as the “Haunted Keeps”) in Kear Maga:
I then located the four elemental temples in the Undercity. This arangment, all within the same city, simplified making this truly sandbox. If you look at a map of Kear Maga you'll see that if the cults succeed and open the gate it will rip the city in two from bellow. The morally challenged nature of this city has proven a rich backdrop for this AP. I located temple of the Elder Eye in Crystalrock. I turned it into an elemental magic temple of The All-Seeing Eye, Nethys (replacing, with similar name the Elder Elemental Eye as the main God behind the scene). I then replaced the four princes with the Elemental Lords (see inner sea world guide p.233):
I then needed to explain what PotA does not: why were those four legendary weapons created and why do the PCs care? My solution was to use "Shadowcount Sial” from the Korvosa Crimson Crown AP. In summary, Sail forced the dwarfs of Janderhoff to forge them. In a contractual agreement with Nethys, Sail exchanged them for the location of some Kazavon artifacts. An agent of Desna is then the cause of Sail to see the error of his beliefs, converting him to LG alignment, turning his back on Zon-Kuthon. However, with Sail having the Mark of Zon-Kuthan, he is now blind and in pain. I located him in The Flickering Tower in HighSide Stacks. His guilt and desire to stop The All Seeing Eye's plan to erupt Kear Maga in a fountain of Elemental Magic, form him as an NPC that can motivate and aid PCs to complete their mission. This is a work in progress with the campaign is still in the early stages. If there's interest I'll add more detail and I welcome other ideas. ![]()
![]() I was watching the awful movie Mirror Mirror last night and was pleased to see my RPG Superstar 2012 submission Cantering Stilts brought to life on the big screen worn by the seven dwarfs! While it is unlikely to have been inspired by my submission, it was still cool to see it. ![]()
![]() Jon Peterson has written an amazing history of our hobby, Playing at the World, that is must reading. For example, did you know that David Wesely was the very first Game Master (as we know them today)? He rediscovered the idea of a game ref with escencially Rule 0 powers from a war game book written in 1880. He GMed Dave Arneson who co-created D&D. It's a detailed read but worth it if you care about the roots of the Pathfinder RPG. ![]()
![]() Is there anything 'wrong' with the approach of:
These are all little DM/GM cheats which are not 'wrong' in a personal game. But are they 'wrong' in an official PFS game? For me, having fun and finishing on-time are vital for a Con game and the above cheats can significantly help with that. That being said, as a PFS GM I feel obligated to obey the letter of the rules of the game and the scenario as written. Comments? ![]()
![]() <rant> Please reconsider your marketing strategy and don't sell random packs. Also, get rid of the concept of rare miniatures. If I want to buy the set with the Foobar monster in it then sell it to me. Don't tell me it’s a rare mini and that I have to keep buying packs until I get lucky. I am not a collector and I don’t play Magic. I bought the beginner box mini set, with ALL 4 minis known before purchase and I love it. Please sell monster sets like that. Or better yet, give me a price that gives me one of each of your entire monster mini offering and I will buy. </rant> ![]()

![]() I am excited about competing this year (my first time). However my wife, as wonderful and supportive as she is, doesn't quite understand. Barbara: "So what do you get if you win?"

![]() I'm still coming but my friend can't. So, I have an extra badge. Since PaizoCon is not yet sold out I will trade/sell for a value less than $35. After it sells out, my price goes up to $35. Some suggested trades:
