a couple of weeks ago someone posted a message with a link to www.planewalker.com
the link took you directly to a gods list for all the gods ever to be in D&D and forgotten realms.
when you go to the planewalker site now it is a dead link
does anyone have the new link, as this would be a very useful supplement to have. if no link does anyone have anything with all the gods on as it is annoying when you have to have loads of books to hand when you could have it all on one list.

heres one thats been a debate in our group.
- when you are unarmed only with fist an opponent with a weapons gets an attack of opportunity. But if you are a monk which is proficient with its fists (unarmed attack) your opponent doesn't get an attack of oppoortuntity.
- So if you are say a mage useing a bastard sword (which the mage isn't proficient with) would your attacker get an attack of opportunity as you are like the unarmed person who isn't proficient with his/her fists?
Trocky one I would like to hear peoples views on this, or rules written down if anyone has any

We mainly concentrate on 3.5 D&D.
Very experienced group (playing together for 10+ years.
we play once a week on Sundays.
Experienced DM with every book about D&D you can think of

in your opinion does keen and improved critical stack.
some people say it does and others dont.
i would like to hear others opinions as personally i think it is too powerful if it does!

does charm monster work on plant creatures.
as there is no charm plant spell.
and control plants is the plant version of dominate

if you have say a large steel shield +1 with the animate enhancement on, can you use a two handed weapon efficiently.
e.g. how would you weild a greatsword with good effect with an animated shield in the way. where would the shield be to give you the ac bonus without getting in the way on the sword.
as for example when you use a tower shield with any weapon you also grant your foe ac bonuses and cover, so i would have thought using an animated large steel shield while using a two handed sword would have a similar effect?

can a mage use to bucklers at the same time (one on each arm)
and still gain both the ac adjustments of them (+1 ac for each one) even if he/she is not profiecient in shields?

if you are wearing masterwork full plate with an armor check penalty of 5 can you with magic enhancements bring the check penalty down to 0.
it may sound stupid but if you brought full plate down to 0 it would be stupid as even with things like weightless surely you are still encumbered as the plates aren't somehow going to let you move freely as wearing no armor, so surely you can't bring the penalty to less than 1.
i can't find in any of the rules that say you can't or can

if using a spell storing ring you put in a maximised fireball.
would it be classed as a lvl 5 spell or a lvl 3 spell

does anyone know if a wizard/sorcerer can cast spells whilt wearing claw bracers, as i cannot find any rules with say you can or you cant.
also would a wizard/sorceror suffer any penalties whilt wearing armor with the weightless enhancment?

Lots of fun with the right types of characters.

4/5

Just played this, 3rd level character running with mostly 4's and 5's. I'll be judging it at an upcoming con where I can only hope my players have as much fun as the party I played with.

Party composition is a big deal here, though it's nice to know that even a complete failure is nonlethal in this adventure. Our DM informed us right off the bat that this module would require more roleplaying than average. Personally I think this is a great idea. No one wants to get stuck sitting in the corner for several hours while everyone else has all the fun. It also gave my wizard an oppourtunity to select some more stealth, disguise, and distraction spells that he usually has to pass up in favor of more combative choices.

I can appreciate that some characters will have trouble completing faction missions, but this isn't exactly new in society play. The simple fact is that the average rogue will earn more PA than the average fighter by virtue of his wider skill selection. Though as far as I know, nowhere does it say the fighter can't recruit the rogue into giving him a hand in social situations. Our party did this more than once and everyone managed to complete their faction quests.

My only minor complaints are

Spoiler:

the puzzle in the study can be a major time sink. Our DM allowed for a few linguistics roles to help speed things along. While I enjoy a good decoding as much as the next guy, I'm not sure it meshes well with the frantic pace of the adventure.

The final fight is kinda weird. I think having to fend off animated furniture could be allot of fun in a suitable story, but it felt out of place here and kinda ridiculous. Not sure why chairs were decided upon, seems like a statue or maybe a construct would have been just as effective and more menacing. Sentient chairs feels more like something from a half mad wizard's tower than a chelaxian embassy.

On the other hand, if you really wanted to scare some players, you should reverse the fights and have the various trappings and toys of the sex dungeon spring to life and attack the players. That would have been truly horrifying.
