A pretty heated discussion is underway on this topic. To make it more specific, would a pc with the Shield-Trained trait be allowed to have Agile placed on a heavy shield?

I'm not looking for house rulings (the inevitable "I'd allow it").

Would a character or creature with total concealment (that can see foes clearly) attack flat footed armor class with every attack?

By the wording of the Field Instruction, it allows the brawler to grant a teamwork feat to her allies. Can they grant more than one at a time? Would they have to spend another action to grant another feat?

A question I have read recently asks about a character with a 7 strength confirming a critical. How would the penalty work in this case? Please provide a source.

Say I have a barbarian 1/ rogue 8. Rogue 8 gains improved uncanny dodge, my question is; does the barbarian level count (meaning to be flanked the opponent must be 13) or does it not (the opponent must only be 12). I know it's not a huge difference, but it can make or break an encounter. If this question had already been answered, please link the thread. I did look, but not very hard.

would Oathbound Paladin (oath against chaos) and Hellknight Smite Chaos levels stack? not asking if both abilities would have to be activated, but would the levels stack (a level 12 character having level 12 smite)?

when did this change? ive been searching between versions of the CRB and the fourth printing (sept 2010) has elf a prerequisite while subsequent versions (Nov 2011, July 2013) still have the flavor text about elves but have removed the racial necessity. oversight or intentional?

I love the Iron Priest archetype for the cleric in the Technology guide. The only confusing part is the channel energy; does channel positive or negative heal them? Arguments could be made for either side, but the entry is not clear. On the channel positive side, it would make sense that a cleric of Brigh (the Clockwork Lady) would make sense. The flip side would be, if the Iron Priest treats constructs as undead (because they have no power over them) channel positive to harm would make sense. Does anyone have any insight on this?

Are we expecting an errata on this? I know they have been inserted into the Summon Monster XX lists, but they have not been officially entered into the Elemental Body XX lists.

Has there been a ruling on the interaction of Rocket Bomb and Explosive Bomb? Would Explosive Bomb add 5 feet to the radius (my assumption)?

Would it be possible for a player to obtain a monster cohort? Monsters such as; troll, Barghest, giant, etc.

2/5

If a GM is forced to run a pregen and it dies, does he have to resolve the death? I know the GM always gains the sheet and player pregen deaths must be resolved when the sheet is applied, does this rule also apply to the GM?

Had a disagreement with someone over the topic if the thread, can someone clarify the "burst that fills a 30 ft. cube" for me?

does sneak attack and whirlwind stack?
while performing a whirlwind and you are flanking a foe, does he receive your sneak attack dice?
trying to settle an argument between myself and a cheese-weasel i play with.

anyone else have any home-brew trait ideas?

Watchman: Combat
Being trained in the city guard has taught you how to pick out trouble before it starts. You gain a +1 to Perception and perception is always a class skill for you.

I'm starting my first session as a GM, I'm looking for pointers as to get players to role play. any suggestions?

of all the exotic weapons in this book, are the gnomes proficient with any as martial weapons? the dwarf book has 1 weapon that dwarves may be proficient in, but the gnome book does not say one way or another.

I'm looking at the stats in the bestiary and the related entries, but coming up confused. In the bestiary and on the SRD;

pfsrd wrote:
Ability Scores: +2 Wis, –2 Cha in all forms; +2 Str, +2 Con in hybrid and animal forms. Lycanthropes have enhanced senses but are not fully in control of their emotions and animalistic urges. In addition to these adjustments to the base creature's stats, a lycanthrope's ability scores change when he assumes hybrid or animal form. In human form, the lycanthrope's ability scores are unchanged from the base creature's form. In animal and hybrid form, the lycanthrope's ability scores are the same as the base creature's or the base animal's, whichever ability score is higher.

the entries for the individuals do not line up with these rules, can someone simplify them for me please?

Where are the rules for movement by caravan and ship? I'm creating a game that will be using both and need/want to have the rules handy for everything. also looking for any combat related rules for both.

O great devs,
Why is there a whole book on tiefling heritages but nothing for the aasimar race?

if a player is wanting to play with the half-fiend template and they want to shirk the wings for a prehensile tail, what would the majority reaction be?
what bonuses/ negatives would be ruled for this idea?

Fighter classes, except the cavalier and paladin, have no way to make sure monsters/npcs attack them. a fighter taunt mechanic needs to be created to make sure fighters can do their job. it could be something as simple as intimidate vs will save to make them have to target the fighter instead of the squishier targets. any thoughts?

I move the feat Clustered Shots be added to the Ranger Archery Combat Style feat list.

being a star wars fan, and watching them this week, i have thought about making a single person speederbike in PF lately. the rules would be similar to the magic carpets except they would only be able to carry 1 person, 2 if small or smaller. could add saddle bags of holding just for good measure. it can be made of any material, though certain materials would be cheaper. any thoughts or am i just that crazy fanboy trying to mix genera again?

An idea for a house rule for weapon finesse: any weapon that has a natural crit range of 18-20, should be finesse-able. any thoughts?

Powerful Charge (Ex)

When a creature with this special attack makes a charge, its attack deals extra damage in addition to the normal benefits and hazards of a charge. The attack and amount of damage from the attack is given in the creature’s description.

Format: powerful charge (gore, 4d8+24); Location: Special Attacks

does this stack with a regular charge attack? would a half-fiend minotaur form the book have a +15/+13 (3d6+9)+(2d6+9) from his greataxe/ powerful charge combo?

a house rule my gm institutes and our other GMs like, the first 3 levels are maxed. this is to prevent players getting screwed by rolling 1s on the first levels. after that you are on your own. just thought i would share with others.

Am I the only person who was upset about the weapons Nerfs that came in the ult combat? the katana has been accepted as a bastard sword and the naginata a glaive. the meteor hammer in the adventurers armory is a better weapon overall than the one in ult combat. are these intentional downgrades or were they mistakes that will be fixed in later errata?

on the other hand i am pleased that the samurai great armor is on par with full plate. i am also pleased with the ATs (just to show I'm not a negative Nancy)

Will the knife fighter at change the way deadly and powerful sneak work? Since it was 50% of the original sneak attack die, will the minimum go up or stay static?

Personally i think it may work, but are metamagic feats usable for the alchemist? could i empower a detonate or extend a fly?

Would an Alchemist be able to take improved critical Bomb and add the feat to all or would you have to take it for each individual bomb type? weapon focus would be in the same boat.

How does the Alchemist Bombs affect incorporeal creatures? are the bombs considered physical damage and take half or a 50% chance of missing as spell damage?

I have an idea for a combat feat, it may be a little OP, but considering the prerequisites I don’t think it's too OP.

Flash Step (Combat)
Prerequisite: Fast movement class ability or fleet; Acrobatics 10 ranks
Benefit: For every 10’ extra movement above your racial norm, you may add 5’ to a 5’ step free action. EX: Barbarian fast movement ability at level 1 would give a total of 10’ free action step.

What are people’s thoughts?

Am I the only one that thinks that Spell Perfection kinda needs the wording fixed in the case of Pally/Bard and the new Magus? is a character cannot normally cast a 9th level spell, why should he benefit from a spell modified to 9th level? According to Spell Perfection, a maximized Chain Lightning would be allowed, but since the Magus can only cast 6th level spells, i think that the feat should be modified from, "as long as the total modified level of the spell does not use a spell slot above 9th level." to as long as the total modified level of the spell does not use a spell slot above the highest level spell you can cast." Because a Pally can take feats like Silent, Still and Maximize spell then Spell Perfection. Then add the Maximize to something like Fires of Vengeance, or maximize those cure spells!
