my unimportant opinion:
Honestly, if nothing else, I haven't even looked at PF2, because I know PF1 so well. I have the SRD so throroughly committed to memory that my group finds it faster to ask me things then look them up, and I can create basically any charecter concept I could ever want to play.

Why would I want to give up the flexibility of the sheer number of options of PF1 for something more restrictive, barebones, and that seems... less optimizable.

Like that attack at a -10 thing you said. If that's nearly a surefire miss, that seems insane to me. Because in regular pathfinder, that's your third ieritive, and it means that if you only hit on a 20, your main attack is only hitting on a 10+, thus meaning your attacks are halriously unreliable. Reliability is my biggest thing when making a charecter. I hate it when perfectly good tactical plans are thwarted just because the dice say so. Nat 1's already provide more then enough of that.

I have, unfortunately, come to the conclusion that I really can't keep doing this.

Even if i were to work up the energy again, I think my anxiety would lead be back down to these issues.

I don't think I'm really cut out for play by post DMing as a result.

Why are my posts so insanely infrequent?

Well, here we go.

I have rather crippling anxiety. It's my problem, I try and deal with it quietly.

But sometimes, it gets the better of me. And by sometimes, I mean often.

Lately, and often before, I would get stuck in a loop where I would worry myself to exhaustion about posting, because I'm letting people down, then not post because I was exhausted, piling up guilt and exhaustion as I kept the group waiting longer and longer.

I'm not sure I have the energy for this, anymore.

I want to hear what you all think.

I could keep going, understanding there's no time pressure.
I could drop the game.
I could finish chapter 1.
Or something else I haven't considered.

I just can't keep doing it like this. I was dwelling on how long I take to post while I was at work today to the point of it distracting me.

This is *purely* my problem, and I'm not blaming anyone else. I just need to talk about this before I just end up uncerminuoisly ceasing to post entierly.

No need to keep rolling diplomacy
You can only change a creature's attitude once in a day, I believe, and your first roll was fantastic anyway.

If this isn't clear, the first check succeeded in making him more friendly to you.

[I] the howler, upon seeing lina's holy symbols, snarls and backs up a bit, before releasing a horrid howl, grating and sounding somewhat reminiscent of grinding glass. Some of it's wounds stitch up from the healing, but it seems to be alone in this, among the demons, as the varmleks don't seem to heal. Anguis shifts in posture in response to the positive energy, and looks to azalina. He doesn't do anything this round.

everyone make a DC 12 will save VS howler's howl.

Meanwhile, the varmlek seems to swell with some sort of irritation at lina, gripping it's blade tight in both hands before taking a swing at lina's holy symbol.

petty sunder: 1d20 + 6 ⇒ (12) + 6 = 18
this provokes an AOO, subtract any damage dealt to it from it's to hit roll here. If it hits CMD...

the leg shatters and falls apart, the beast staggers, and mist wafts out from the shards. luca, lawazi, fort save. the beast inhales heavily and breathes out a similar, yet much colder mist around. and a fort save for everyone, DC 17, half damage on a pass. cold damage: 5d6 ⇒ (6, 3, 4, 1, 1) = 15

there's a deafening crack as a wave of cold emanates from the creature as it wraps itself in the storm, turning to a coat of ice and mist. The storm the creature was creating seems to be gone, leaving vision clear in the area for the first time. The creature lowers it's head to nearly ground level, shifts stance, and readies itself.

anguis impales one of the cultists.

The cultists swing thier scythes uselessly, missing both times.

The blinded varmlek shakes out the black gunk in it's eyes, it's strange body nearly causing the attack to fail, but the blade did manage to actually connect with some of the wretched creature's actual innards.

The varmlek, full of arrows, seems to decide that the magic missles are more annoying then the arrows, because it moves over to attack uerto.

the howlers keep attacking their marks, biting into them.

the varmlek that was downed carefully crawls away before bursting out of the corpse it's in with a horrid display of gore.

demons and cultists coalesce from every angle around the museum. One cultist falls, lina cuts into a vermlek, azalina falls the wounded howler, uerto hits another howler with a ray of singing light, but just as soon as those in the back feel a moment of relief, from the previously dark room emerges yet another vermlek, getting in lina's face. anguis gets torn into after stabbing a vermlek, but he still doesn't react or much seem to care.
