Readied actions occur as Reactions (I ready an action to shoot him with an arrow when he concentrates on the flame sphere).

The point of the system is to make simple tasks trivial to high level characters, and to make incredibly difficult tasks nearly impossible for low level characters. This does that very well.

I don't see the hate for high numbers. Everyone is talking about the "power creep" of leveling, that's the entire point. The purpose is to create a power gap between low and high level creatures/tasks while keeping similar level stuff about as hard as always. Only having a proficiency system doesn't achieve that, unless you make a task literally impossible until you have enough proficiency, which they also do a bit of.

Nearly every rendition of D&D/PF suffers from allowing specialist characters to achieve things Gods can barely do from very low level. This system makes that impossible, and I'm a fan of that. It's got quirks, but I'd rather see minor changes than major ones, if only to give proficiency slightly more power.

Appreciate the effort, but why didn't you rotate it into landscape first before doing all that work? :o

If it helps for a subsequent revision, I performed the rotation of the original sheet in Acrobat Pro and removed the parchment background to save ink & toner:

I just rotated it while I worked, but never saved it as rotated (and likewise, I rotate while I use it). Removing the background is great for folks who print!

Resonance is forcing me to use charisma, but my Alchemist uses int instead due to Studied Resonance. Anyway to make that an option?

Also. The medicine skill doesn't change when you change proficiency levels.

All in all, great work!

I've added the ability to change your resonance key stat with a dropdown, new version at the link.

For your second issue, that sounds like a reader version issue. Older versions of Adobe and especially older versions of Foxit can cause that behavior, they don't get along with complicated calculated fields. One of my group mates had that issue until he updated to Foxit version 9.x. I hope that helps!

It isn't working anywhere. I've tried it on both my phone and computer and the same problem is happening. I've tried clicking outside of the box and pressing 'enter.' Not sure what's happening.

That is really bizarre. Might I ask what pdf reader you are using? I've had issues using my browser (Chrome) for the sheet, but it works fine for me both with Adobe and Foxit.

One thing I noticed is that Class DC doesn't add the base 10, so it's just 5 for me currently (dex + prof) instead of 15. Unless I'm doing something wrong.

One of my party mates also found that one this morning, I've since uploaded a fixed copy, I appreciate you letting me know, thank you!

For some reason none of my modifiers are changing when I change my attribute scores. Everything else seems to be working fine. Is there something I'm doing wrong or is this a bug? Thanks in advance.

Interesting, I'm unable to replicate this, modifiers seem to be working fine when I'm playing with it. It won't update until after you click somewhere else or press enter, but I'm assuming you've tried that. Is the modifier updating elsewhere on the sheet, like in the skills section/dex adding to AC, etc., or is it not working everywhere?

Glad you like it guys! I have since updated the sheet which had a number of issues like AC/TAC not adding base 10, some spell fields were duplicating, added the ability to choose a spell point key ability separately from your class key, and headers on spell actions, as well as a bit of buggy cleanup on some fields.

If you notice any issues with your sheet, try the new version an let me know if it persists. The old links point to the new form. Thanks!

All great catches and suggestions. I've fixed the AC/TAC issue and fixed the action font size to match the other text boxes.

For the QoL stuff, I've found Paizo's sheet woefully unprepared for multi-classing in general, but I did add the ability to change your spell point key ability using a drop down in the spell point section. For spell actions, I like the cleanliness of the diamond and how it echoes the Pathfinder Action cost symbol, and it's way easier for players than having to type a letter in every box, so instead of making it a text field I've added column headers M S V, the same order Paizo lists spell components in their spells. Let me know if that's good enough.

Thanks for the feedback! Links are updated with newest version of the form.

Another good catch! Looks like the action of the last two cantrip slots were also duping. Fixed up both and updated the download links.

It's no problem, I also play almost entirely online so figured I'd get this out since I was making it for my play group. Thanks for testing it so thoroughly!

Specifically, your proficiency modifier is equal to your level -2, level +0, level +1, level +2, level +3, not just -2, 0, etc. I just checked all of the proficiency radios and they seem to be displaying that correctly. Was there one that was showing incorrectly?

Rulebook pg 8-9 wrote:
You’re untrained if you have little or no knowledge in the statistic or item. Your proficiency modifier is equal to your level minus 2. Unless your class or another choice you’ve made gives you a different rank of proficiency, you’re untrained. If you’ve been trained in the statistic or item, your proficiency modifier is equal to your level. As an expert, you are highly trained in the statistic or item. Your proficiency modifier is equal to your level plus 1. At a master rank, you’ve achieved world-class proficiency in the statistic or item. Your proficiency modifier is equal to your character level plus 2. If you’re legendary, your statistic or familiarity with the item is so high that you’ll go down in history. Your proficiency modifier is equal to [b]your level plus 3[/b.

That said I did notice that the TAC was not correctly defaulting the proficiency to Untrained, and fixed that, the second link has been updated, or click here.

I've spent the day making the playtest character sheet form-fillable. Players who are interested in this for your characters, you can download at this Google drive link. Please comment if you find any bugs on the sheet, I was a bit tired towards the end of it.

Bastion of Good (Su): At 1st level, a sacred shield can call upon the powers of good to defend her and her allies against evil. This ability functions as smite evil, except that the paladin gains no benefit on attack or damage rolls against her target. Instead, any attacks the target makes against allies within 10 feet of the paladin deal half damage. Attacks against the paladin deal full damage, but the paladin gains a deflection bonus to her AC equal to her Charisma bonus (if any) against attacks made by the target of the smite. This bonus increases by +1 for every four paladin levels (to a maximum of +6 at 20th level). As with smite evil, if the paladin targets a creature that is not evil, her bastion of good ability is wasted with no effect. Feats, abilities, and the like that increase a paladin's number of uses of smite evil per day increase a sacred shield's uses of bastion of good per day. This ability replaces smite evil.

Shield Other:
This spell wards the subject and creates a mystic connection between you and the subject so that some of its wounds are transferred to you. The subject gains a +1 deflection bonus to AC and a +1 resistance bonus on saves. Additionally, the subject takes only half damage from all wounds and attacks (including those dealt by special abilities) that deal hit point damage. The amount of damage not taken by the warded creature is taken by you.

What is the interaction between these two effects? Does the Shield Other happen first, and thus the Paladin takes 1/2 damage, or does the Bastion of Good happen first, and the Paladin takes 1/4 damage?
