I would love to see fleshed out one Level Stand alone Adventures. So basically the page size of one AP book but fleshed out with "read loud" parts, detailled descriptions etc.

These Adventures don't need to cover multiple level ups, just onne would be fine for me. So you can grab one in your level range, run it with only a little bit prep work with your group and have some fun.

They do have these and they are super fun. They are Starfinder Society Scenarios. They can be purchased on this site and cost about $5 each. They have descriptions and level suggestions for each one. There is an over arching story that is fun but is not necessary to the fun. I have used these to break up adventure paths when it starts to feel railroaded or my players are stumped to break the pace or have an npc give a great clue.

I have had this idea for ninja stars with called fusion hidden in boots.

I did not even think about a Mass Effect like game. 100% down! But to be honest I would be happy with any starfinder game. Even an old school Doom clone.

I would be 100% down and would pre-order if it looked even passable, let alone good!

Just curious The Artificer, what is your profession?

I for one would love armor crystals. These crystals could modify resistances, add resistances, increase speed or acrobatics checks and even stealth checks. What about a crystal that hides the fact that you are a solarian? Or a crystal that gives you a bonus to saves against spells or other solarian or vanguard abilities? What about a crystal that fasions your armor? I am just coming up with these on the fly, and I know I am not along in wanting these. I know some of this may overlap with armor mods, items or even abilities. But at the same time giving the option opens up those spots for other dynamic choices.

Just to keep things in perspective, Starfinder is not Pathfinder 2E. Nor is it Shadow Run or DnD. It is very much its own game using a d20 system and built off the lore of Pathfinder. I find it unfair to take this orange and compare it to all those apples. Both are fruit but not of the same tree.

That being said, the rule to keep in mind for any ttrpg is that the rules are suggestions for play. If you don't like something in the rules then change it to how you would like it. House rules are great for your party and then everyone can be happy. If you play society the you are stuck with the rules, but you are choosing society and those constraints.

Personally I am not a fan of starship combat but that may be because I have not done enough of it to understand the nuances.

Comics. Comics about skittermanders. Comics about goblins. Comics about the iconic characters.

I enjoy making weird class choices for my mock ups. For example,I made Batman using the Envoy. The Idea was to make a justice league version and Batman is very team centric in JL. Martian manhunter was a mystic with all the polymorph spells, Green lantern was a mystic 1 solarian 19 with all manifestations. By pushing a concept in a class that seemed counter intuitive I have found some concepts I have loved.

I see your point. But the choice seems like it was because of action characters like the ones Arnold Swartzinager has played in the sci fi movies. He can talk his way into things but does not know how to patch himself up. The medicine role is reserved for the resistance or love interest. He can hack systems, but he can't reroute power from one terminal to another. I am thinking total recall specifically but hose kind of actions roles.

More likely than not the choices were so that this class retains much of its flavor and does not step on the toes of other classes.

This is the loop hole for my green lantern! Thank you!

I love the warframe love here. Been playing for 6 years. I think the weapon is perfectly fine how you built it. Does is separate as move action like in the game? I think there is an item in army that does not do what you are looking for but is close. Something between a clamp and bayonette. Love it though!

Just buy a bunch of bombard fusions, then you all will be plentiful of Grenades for each combat.

That is what I was thinking. Two fusions: bombard and called. Shoot, drop, call, repeat.

Some of my favorit characters are envoys. I am working on building the justice league and my Batman is an envoy.

A happy middle ground would be "Yes, while the spell is active. Once the duration is over your DNA goes back to normal. If you lose a finger, after the spells duration it changes bact to your finger."

I may be optimistic with most of my outlooks but has anyone played the trox (or any of the "op" playable races) and compared it to a core race? I have a strong suspicion that the goodies they get are not op but add flavor and intrigue. As a dm, the trox don't seem op to me. Just fun! I love the fact that they address the Golorion trox vs these ones and the fluff explanation for the mechanical difference.

I had never seen that in pathfinder either. Your last statement sounds more like an opinion. Just looking up the pathfinder wiki, the souls page lends its self to Metaphysician's statement more so. Souls start undefined but life gives them shape and personality. Thus they are judged individually for their life, and therefore unique.

I'm amazed that someone calling themselves Metaphysician could think this.

He's a doctor Jim, not a priest.

I just realized that I am ripping of the name Renue Yu. It is Renuyu or RenuYou from Batman the animated series. The stuff that makes clayface. Oops :P

But on the cloning thing, I think Paizo has not said one way or another on this because it is such a trope in Sci Fi that we the players can use it how we wish without being pidgion hold into official rules. Somethings in RPGs have to have direct rules like combat and item creation. But with cloning, something I do not think characters should be hands on about at all, can be more a tool for a GM. Something to their flavor and/or more nebulus.

Let me ask you all, do you want defined rules for cloning? Be it science, magic or both?

To contradict myself, a Mystic could ask their god or patron to clone someone, even themselves, and as a DM I may allow it at the cost of their spells for the day.

I believe so Tacticslion. But you just added to my idea above. The reason Renue Yu is the only corp with this tech is they have claimed it purely tech based but that spark or soul that sro and the undead player race have can be pulled from the afterlife and tethered to the clone with magic. A corruption of the speak with dead spell that is taboo on eox and outright outlawed in the rest of the pact worlds.

Ok just wrote up an outline for this idea, let me know what you think.

RENUE YU
ReNue Yu is proud to offer non-surgical aesthetic treatments and death preventative services in the Ring of Absalom Station. Our Medical Treatment Center is privately owned and operated but located within the walls of the Bluerise Tower.

Our goal is to provide each patient with a customized and safe treatment. You can rest assured that our clinical team has extensive knowledge in cloning tech and memory grafting. Additionally, every provider at ReNue Yu is a licensed professional technician and is certified in the use of our machines.

Thank you for considering ReNue Yu. We invite you to take a peek at our menu of age-defying and life preserving services and meet the staff.

ReNue Yu procures a clone of you incase you are fatally injured or want to be younger. If you are wanting to be younger the process cost a mere 25,000 credits. For fatal injuries there is a 10-year service contract for 150,000, replacing you with a clone that has the memories you last stored in ReNue Yu digital vaults. You will also get a biologically integrated implant that will let them know if you pass.
There are financing options available. 10% of your net income until balance is paid in full if approved.
Once paid or payment plan approved you must come in for DNA extraction and brain mapping in order for ReNue Yu to have the necessary components for your new you.

ReNue Yu is a subsidiary of Aspis Consortium, one of the largest corporations in the Pact Worlds. Aspis Consortium is a very grey territory organization. Abadar Corp is the only larger corporation and they are run to the letter of the law as the moral line in the solar system. Aspis Consortium uses the tech at ReNue Yu to make brainwashed minions to commit crimes and, if need be, frame ReNue Yu clients. These minions have surveillance installed in them and a black hole/implosion device to destroy any evidence and frame the ReNue Yu client.

You guys are awesome. You all help create and inspire my next plot point my campaign.

"ReNue Yu is a subsidiarity of Apsis Corp that specializes in cloning tech with ads geared to adventurers and people showing their age. With this tech they use brainwashed clones to do their seedy criminal work and set up the players."

Needa some more dev but fun start

Looking at the mechanics ability it removes the need to spend creds and bps on a computer and control mod to control the ship. There should be ways to go around a class to get the benifit it would provide. For example lots of parties have healing serums even if they do not have a mystic. I feel that each party has to decide how they want to play out their diverse group and resources. I like the idea of a mechanic with the setup above and power armor. The ai will be named jarvis and the character anthony stork. He looks like Robert Downey Jr.

So had a thought. Everyone is up in arms about not being able to control their ship with a computer because of bps to credits. How about this, when building/customizing you ship set aside 10% of the points to have it connect to you comm link as a module. Now you can pilot your ship and paid for the module.
