I appreciate all of your replies. It looks like my shipping preferences and misunderstanding a release date caused much of my frustration.

2 Weeks tomorrow since I decided to subscribe to the Lost Omens line and my book sits in a side cart. Everyone is reviewing the book, but not me.

Same thing happened when Dark Archive came out. Tried to start a subscription to the rule book line, went to Gen Con, a week after the book came out without any information of where I stood, everyone around me reading their Dark Archive but not me. Eventually I cancelled the order.

Are we as customers allowed to get angry about this? I love Pathfinder, I love the writing, but I am starting to think that maybe Paizo does not care about me.

It is inconceivable to me that if someone subs to a product line, that they do not receive their items in a time frame that would make the customer feel rewarded for creating this long term relationship.

I am having some difficulty determining if certain creature abilities suffer from the multi-attack penalties. It says in the core rulebook that every check that has the attack trait suffers from the multiple attack penalty.

So how do you handle Shroud and Stretch Shadow from the Shadow Wisps in Blakros Museum? I played it that there was no dice roll, so there was no multiple attack penalty.

However, if the wisp used a player's shadow to attack another player that would suffer from the MAP. Is this correct?

In the ritual chamber, is it half damage for a successful save vs. the surge of shadow energy (2d6)?

What do you recommend for the Society \ Pathfinder Lore DC at the very beginning of the adventure.

Jaw dropping, huge help getting my group interested in trying the new edition. Thank you!

I’m seeing a lot of flattening of spells, with them being stronger at first level and weaker at later levels. In pf1, summoning by spell is super limited at level 1, with a measly one round duration and not even coming into effect till the next round. In pf2, I can use my summon on the round I cast it and I can use it for 10 rounds, as long as I can maintain my concentration.

Mage armor may give a smaller bonus, but it lasts all day at level 1 now.

I have. Concentration was enough of a Nerf, 3 actions reduced to 2 and 10 round max is too much.

10 Round Max is probably meaningless, unless combats are expected to last for more than 10 rounds, which seems unlikely.

Concentration isn't that bad of a deal. Round 1 you use up 3 actions and get 2 variable actions out of it. And then every following round you use up 1 action and get 2 variable actions. It's pretty good efficiency.

Summon Monster takes 3 actions to cast. Since you have to concentrate on a spell for your monster to act, I do not see how it can act the round it is summoned.

I have a group of 7 starting Rise of the Runelords tomorrow. I am compensating for the group size by giving every creature the advanced template but I kept initiative and DCs the same. However, I still have the original stat blocks so I can balance the encounter on the fly. I assume the sweet spot will be somewhere in the middle.

My thought is that perhaps your GM should balance the encounters either before hand or on the fly so you get the maximum challenge (and thus the maximum sense of accomplishment) Matt Colville does a good job of explaining how to do this on his youtube channel.

Thank you Steve. I deleted the original question, but it was something along the lines of:

"I purchased the 4 physical Starfinder subscriptions but I find no evidence that I have received the Pathfinder Advantage or the free subscription to the Starfinder Society pdfs."

We are always looking for new players. Come on out and join the fun!

Will there be a Pathfinder Pawns collection for this product?

Starting in September Pathfinder Society will have a weekly presence in Buffalo New York. I've already set up biweekly games at Painted Ogre in Lockport and I hope to add a game on opposite weeks at Dragon Snack Games in Amherst. I have also put a group together to offer Pathfinder Society at Queen City conquest where we will be offering more than 20 tables over 3 days. Check out our Facebook group for more information

Thank you all for all your help.

My darling wife already proved to be critical to her group's success in "Intro 1: First Steps—Part I: In Service to Lore", joined by 2 rogues, a sorcerer, and 2 clerics (yes, two clerics). Sounds like she will be a human blender once she hits level 6. I'm glad these bonuses do not extend past the gaming table.

I am doing some projections for my wife's character. We just started doing Pathfinder Society last week (with myself as GM). I have a lot to learn...

She will be a level 6 human fighter who is trying to focus on crits while two handed fighting with the following feats:

1: Two Weapon Fighting, Weapon Focus (Kukri)
2: Power Attack
3: Double Slice
4: Weapon Specialization (Kukri)
5: Iron Will
6: Improved Two Weapon Fighting

Level 5 was easy. 1 main hand attack, 1 offhand attack

Level 6 is not so easy for me to understand.

Is it:
a) There is an additional off hand attack granted by ITWF (at -5)
b) There is an additional main hand attack granted by BAB +6
c) There is an additional off hand attack granted by the fact that you're two weapon fighting and your BAB is +6

It is "C" that I am especially confused about.

This is the rest of the feats. I would love a critique if you are willing.

7: Improved Initiative
8: Improved Critical
9: Critical Focus
10: +1 Str Greater Weapon Focus
11: Two Weapon Rend
12: Greater Weapon Specialization (Kukri)

Thank you.

I am interested in fleshing out the list of evening activities to include a larger variety of games of chance, or other amusements.

So in addition to Hog Lob, Arm Wrestling, and Heave I have found traditional pub games "Shut The Box" and "Ship, Captain, and Crew". We could include a pirate talent show on one of the nights, etc.

I do not want to detract from the mission aboard the Wyrmwood, but my play group consists of students (ages 15-17) from our schools gaming club. So I know they enjoy that type of thing. It will also help create organic situations for PCs to interact with crew mates for their evening influence checks.

So, have you added any evening entertainments for the Wyrmwood that you would care to share?

Thank you so much! I've been searching healing surges on google all night. I was way off base. I owe you one.

I am preparing to GM the Skull & Shackles AP and I have a quick question. When going over the NPC Stats for Sandra Quinn, the following is listed under Special Attacks:

Channel Positive Energy 5/day (DC 13, 2d6),surge (+5)

I cannot find any reference as to what the "surge (+5)" means. Any help would be appreciated. I've just about run out of different search queries to find this information.

Can you use the same weapon for both checks when:

a) you are fighting multiple monsters (Check to defeat A then B)
b) you kill a henchman then the "When Closing" condition states: "summon and defeat C"

Note: A, B, and C reference monsters in a scenario. I do not wish to spoil the content of said scenario thus we are fighting the alphabet in this situation.

I'll reset and give it another go after dinner. Thanks for the information. The adventure did seem too easy.

I have successfully completed the first solo scenario from the base set, titled "Brigadoom!" using the location "Woods". I wish to play the scenario again, using the second location "Waterfront". The card suggests that to play "Waterfront" I must also include "Woods" thereby having 2 locations in this scenario. This is certainly true for 2-6 players but is that how solo play works?

(I am defining solo play as literally playing only one character in the scenario, not controlling two or more players as their sole operator.)

Thank you for any help you can provide.
