I have been running the Crypt of Everflame and now I am running the sequel adventure, Masks of the Living God. I want to continue the story here and get my players enrolled in a big campaign in this region. What can you suggest me? Are there other adventures which are based on the region? Which sourcebooks I should check to run a campaign here? And what kind of plot hooks can there be?

Thanks!

is the only way to join the pathfinder society, to become a pathfinder chronicle? are there other pathfinder prestige classes?

thanks!

This is the sort of thing that the Kingmaker AP did ... exploration and missions from NPCs.

The exploration rules are updated in Ultimate Campaign (available on the PRD here).

An ongoing mission for the PCs to locate new sources of rare wood for the lumber operations would be ideal.

Missions from their mentors could include things like fetching plants for spell components, fetching plants for medicinal use, fetching plants or animals for cooking ingredients, and finding lost children.

The module "Fangwood Keep" has a gazetteer of the southern forest.. you could use that for ideas, and maybe send the PCs there to help with the defenses.

Kingdom Events, even if you are not using the Kingdom rules (also updated in Ultimate Campaign), could be used to generate missions.. take care of a rabble-rousing NPC, help find lost loggers, remove a marauding owlbear, and so on.

Don't forget that several new books have come out since "Crypt of the Everflame" was released.. so there are many more base classes who could have mentors there.. and maybe some of them don't like each other? Perhaps they put their proteges up to things like racing in the forest?

Also, the older module "Conquest of Bloodsworn Vale" can make for a nice break from the episodic missions assigned by mentors. It would take a little work to update from 3.5 to Pathfinder, but it isn't that difficult.

Thanks a lot for the answer. I am checking the gazetteer now and I will use the other information too. I have another question on the mentors. One of the PCs is a Half Elf Inquisator of Calistra with a CE alignment and the Infiltrator Archetype. The Erastil priest in the town is not a suitable mentor for this character.

I also want to use the story feats. One of the PCs is a half orc with the bastard trait. I will make it for him like a life quest to really find his real father or mother. So I would like to do maybe something like this also for the Half Elf Inquisator. His mother side is elven and they are away from the town. His father was human. So appearantly his elven side has some influence on him that he become an Inquisator of Calistra. But I don't know how to assign him a mentor in the town. Maybe he is receiving his tasks from the Elven lands to act as an insturment of Calistra here? Any ideas?

1 person marked this as a favorite.

In the module of Crypt of the Everflame there is a small hamlet called Kassen. Maybe some of you are familiar with it. There are some NPCs whom the PCs can choose as their mentors.

I liked this small town and want to set a small campaign here. What kind of hooks can you suggest me? Stuff that will effect the town as a whole and also as side quests these NPCs can give to the PCs. (There is one mentor for each class.)

Any ideas?

is it possible to survive this AP with a 2 player party of a paladin and a sorcerer? what adjustments would you recommend to the adventure?
