My group just made it into the grounds of Renchurch last night and after a few delightful encounters with an Augnagar Qlippoth, Caelandara the Banshee, a stable full of bloody skeleton Nightmares, two members of the Night Harrows, and a few haunts. But to keep on point I want to make the Tyrant's Whispers especially memorable for my group and was surprised to find this haunt didn't already have its own thread on these boards. Let's fill this page with horrendously cruel torments for player's to experience! I'll get the ball rolling with this one: When the haunt is triggered player's are immediately targeted by successive Sands of Time and Disfiguring Touch spells as if cast by Wish within the haunt's radius as their bodies are wracked with agony from aging decades in moments and twisted into vile shapes by the Tyrant's Whispers.

Good evening to all on the forums! I'm putting together an Illusionist with the Shadow subschool and the Shadowcaster archetype for my brother's impending RotR campaign. Enchantment and divination were the schools I'd originally planned to drop, but I hit kind of a snag. Divination seems like a lousy choice for it's obvious benefits and the roleplaying potential of this particular character. Giving up Abjuration or Necromancy seems rough for pretty much the same reasons. What's a former Kuthite to do?

After weeks of schedule conflicts my group finally was able to get together today and begin character builds and stories for this AP. Now that I think about it this group is actually full of first-timings. I've never GM'ed before, one player is completely new to the game, one has been playing D&D almost as long as another has been alive. So far we have a human Ranger, a half-elf Druid (Wolf Totem archetype), a changeling Rogue, and I'm planning on a dhampir Sorcerer (Undead Bloodline). We'll be starting up in two weeks when our schedules permit again and I really have high hopes for this campaign! |
