Liberty's Edge

Thanks for the heads up, Ravenbow.

I'll be honest, I rarely look at errata (In this case especially with the Beginner Box). For now, it is a quick source for introducing new gamers and readers to Pathfinder (as intended) and an awesome resource for those last minute game sessions when one player is out for the week.

I think I'll head over and take a look now just to get up to speed.

Banpai: I choose to use index cards placed in order to track initiative. I actually own a Gamemastery Combat Pad but between the two, I like to quick adjustment and nostalgic feel of cards. It's just a personal preference.

If time permits, I plan to make cards for the monsters included in the first Beginner Box scenario and possibly the GMs Handbook. Like so many things, it comes down to time.

Thanks for the feedback, guys!

Liberty's Edge

Done and done!

I have the Community Use Policy added to the page and I uploaded blank versions of the cards.

Enjoy!

Hey guys. My name is Brian Patterson. I write/illustrate the gaming webcomic d20monkey.

I've read Pathfinder since the first AP but never committed to running it until I picked up the Beginner Box. Like so many others, I was blown away and my group switched over to Pathfinder full time. In the meantime, I've run several demos for old schoolers, newcomers and gamers in-between. So much so that I wanted to create a set of nice initiative cards for the iconic heroes in the box.

I'd like to share them with everyone here if you're interested.

Link to Initiative Cards

I have individual JPEGs and a single PDF for download sized at 3x5 and ready to go.

Enjoy and I look forward to reading/sharing on the PF forums rather than simply lurking.

Seriously though, I cannot wait to use her followers in game play. Very cool deity. She's bringing sexy back.

I can only hope the Pathfinder miniatures line will continue on. I love the figures thus far following the adventure paths (looking forward to Gray Maiden and Queen Ileosa figures someday).

Liberty's Edge

1. More region/city supplements

2. A hi-res digital version of the world map for purchase and download

3. A Golarion specific mega-adventure (like Axe of the Dwarvish Lords or The Rod of Seven Parts)

My copy arrived in the mail today. It is an amazing book and I cannot recommend it enough to anyone considering a Pathfinder campaign.

Geb here I come...

The addiction gets worse. I am a click away from subscribing to Chronicles.

I gladly offer my soul to stoke the fires of the Paizo war machine...

It's supposed to be included if you have a subscription to Chronicles. I subscribed today to get it but it isn't in my downloads yet... I assume it will get there when they ship the hard cover. Just purchasing the hard cover will not get you the PDF, you have to go the subscription route.

Ah, I see now. Thanks for the info. I will have to order the hardback and wait patiently.

As much as I would love to have all three subscriptions running, two is as high as I can go.

I'm looking forward to reading it and seeing the full-size map!

Bah! Devil! Haha

Was it available after you ordered your hardcover? If so, I'll break the sound barrier jumping to the order page...

Liberty's Edge

I cannot wait to see it. When will the PDF be available?

(My apologies if this was covered elsewhere)

Liberty's Edge

Hello!

Earlier this morning I placed an order for (and received) a PDF copy of the Pathfinder Chronicles: Gazetteer (OGL) PDF. The PDF itself came through perfectly, however I did not receive a PDF of the map mentioned. I took a moment to look around on the Paizo site and noticed several forum postings on the subject, indicating that such a file exists in an update. Will the map file arrive separately? If not, what should I do from here?

Have I overlooked a link somewhere on the site? It does not appear on the My Downloads page (the gazetteer does, but not a map).

I know Customer Service is working overtime lately and I appreciate any information/help.

Thanks again, I love what I've read of the Gazetteer.

Actually, I've got a question for you folks who use untagged electronic maps: what do you do about secret rooms?

I am a graphic artist by trade so when I am able to pull the maps from the PDF (like I did with Hollows Last Hope), I increase the size to miniature scale and photoshop out the secret doors, rooms, etc. Then, I create add-on pages featuring the room to add to the placed map in the event it is discovered during game play.

With D1, the PDF is locked by password and that is disappointing for me as I really would like to have miniature scale maps for all of the Gamemastery (and Pathfinder) adventures.

Indeed the future of any "official" Greyhawk material looks bleak but we still have a handful of great fan-sites out there, filled with Greyhawk goodness by fellow gamers who love the Flanaess and everything therein.

Are the maps images or PDFs? If PDF, are the permissions set so that one can open them in Photoshop and stitch the maps together as one?

That is my question as well. I have access to large format printers and I would love to put the pieces together and output a new map every few months or so for my game room wall with updates, changes, etc.

Liberty's Edge

Ah, my apologies for the double-post. I took a quick glance but did not see any mention. Thank you very much for the info and I'm off to download some Flanaessy goodness...

Liberty's Edge

Greetings. I was just wondering if PDF versions of the 4-part Flanaess poster map are included with the PDF downloads of DUNGEON issues 118-121. While I own the issues and the printed poster maps, having PDF files to work with (for zoom-ins, handouts, additions, etc.) would be invaluable.

I dunno. "Depth of knowledge?" I would venture to say that Gary and Rob literally know more info about Greyhawk just from participating in the original campaigns than has ever been published for an outside party like the Paizo staff to study in the first place.

Very true. I think it is a safe to say that Gary and Rob both possess treasure troves of GH information locked away in 3-ring binders of holding somewhere. In a perfect world, a "dream team" could be assembled to compile and write for a new GH campaign. The question is, who do you draft for the team? (sorry, no intention to hi-jack. perhaps I'll take that question to a new thread)

Liberty's Edge

The Blood War? That has a whole boatload of potential but the idea of the giant hunter campaign intrigues me. Could you imagine an adventure path that covers and details the ongoing struggle in Geoff? 1st-level PCs created to join the ranks and battle the giant occupation while uncovering a far reaching plot, going deeper than detailed in Against the Giants. Interesting.

Liberty's Edge

Not to sound like an overly eager noob here, but to be honest, I would prefer to see GH fall into the capable hands of Paizo. I have nothing but the utmost respect for Gary Gygax and the rich history of Greyhawk but with Paizo's resources and depth of knowledge, just imagine what they could do. The adventures and maps to date are nothing short of incredible and it can only get better, IMHO. My vote: Paizo.

Liberty's Edge

I just wanted to say thank you for the update. It is refreshing to see an editor with the hands-on approach, taking time out of the day to keep the masses up to date on what is happening.

With luck, one of my proposals made the cut. If not, there are new days and new ideas. Patience, perseverance, and my stubborn-minded ways keep me in the game. There are no doubts that my work will pay off someday. I think of it as a matter of "when" not "if". Hopefully that does not come across as arrogance.

Thank you again for the update. :)
