Worm theme? I can't imagine worms being all that scary (unless you get oogie about the idea of picking one up - personally I can't stand it when bits of earth stick to their translucent bodies).

The first problem at hand - email the other players and continue to hound them with emails (they're a low key way of being obsessive, as they can't actually see the spittle flying from your mouth when you talk about tactics.). I'm sure they'll come around - or block the sender - either way you'll get an answer to your question.

What if their lack of tactics lead you to getting killed? In the words of C3P0, "Surrender is a perfectly reasonable option." That could lead to a very interesting twist in the adventure and if the others died due to stupidity, and the DM allowed them to roll new characters, then they would've learned a valuable lesson, right?

Tactics: If the enemy is swimming there's always the good old lightning bolt-in-the-water-is-effectively-like-a-fireball-spell. I'm sure your DM might be inclined to think of other electricity-based spells in a similar manner.

I completely agree, this is a fabulous game. I got into it back in the early 90's when a good friend who was into Avalon Hill games introduced me to it. I since bought a copy for myself and another friend. A great blend of trading, discovery, and if you're really mean, combat.

Have you tried playing with the xenophobic alien race? - the name of them escapes me at the moment - because it becomes an entirely different game then. There has to be a certain level of cooperation to keep the advancing alien race in check, but at the same time you can screw fellow players over by placing the really powerful aliens on spaceports that they own. Fantastic!

Three players and one Dm need another player to join an ongoing Red Hand of Doom campaign. Currently 8th level.

Relaxed group in their thirties - no rule hounds here!

We meet weekly on Tuesday between 6:30 and 9:45pm at Neutral Ground. Interested?
