For the second year, Mystery Soda will be bringing a Bardic "Open Mic" after the Paizo Banquet.

Signup will begin right after the banquet, and the Bardic circle will open at 10 pm.

Initiative order for performances will be first come, first served. Once everyone in the initiative order has acted, you have the option of going again. Performers can also delay or ready actions if needed.

Performances should last no longer than 10 minutes (or 2 songs) so everyone gets an even break, but last year some performers split their performance over multiple rounds, which the GMs allowed. Please be respectful of other performers and stay within the 10 minutes. We don't want to have to gong you!

Performance can include anything that is family friendly and safe.

Performances can include, but are not limited to

Perform: Sing
Perform: Dance
Perform: Wind/String/Percussion Instrument
Perform: Oratory (poetry or storytelling,or your favorite gaming story)
Perform: Other

Spectators are welcomed. Coming and going as you please is allowed.

Some musical instruments will be available for loan, including a
couple of guitars.

So come by Saturday night and check it out!

So I've searched the Roleplaying Guild Guide and can't find an answer to this hypothetical scenario that has almost happened to me a couple of time while GMing.

So you're in the first encounter or two of a module or longer scenario, and a character dies. This being a low level scenario, Raise Dead or Resurrection is not a reasonable possibility.

But the player has a second character.

Can you report the first character as dead, add the second character to the reporting notes, and if the new character survives three encounters and meets the success conditions, award the player a chronicle sheet for the second character? (possibly with gold reduced for encounters missed)

I'm running a module that will span multiple sessions, with a reputation of being kind of brutal at 1st level, and I want to know what to do if a character bites it in the first couple of hours. I'd hate for a player to have to sit out for most of 2 weeks of play, but I don't want to do something outside of the rules of pfs.

To summarize, does pfs allow the "Your brother shows up" trope?

This event will start after the banquet. There will be a sign up on a notepad by the door for those who want to perform. Please keep performances appropriate for and respectful to the audience.

Each performer that signs up will get 10 minutes, or about 2 songs if you are doing perform:sing. If we go through the whole sign up list you can opt to go another round. Spectators and drop ins are welcome. I'm bringing a loaner guitar and some small percussion instruments.

This event is the result of my wife spending a good part of the last two Paizocons convincing Paizcon attendees to draw dungeon rooms on her dress or skirt that had dungeon squares. Both years people kept asking, “So when are you going to run this as an event?"

So, by request, we put together this game that is inspired by artwork contributed by the Paizocon community. Each room is connected to the other like deadly quilt squares in a magical tapestry. I know, a magical tapestry that allows you to travel from one location to another sounds a little far-fetched, but that is what lottery events are all about.
