Thx for the advice. Talking to the group I decided to go the flexible route. Being a play by post I can play the most bookiping class ever, as I have time to think calmly.

I kinda have a build here:
Middle aged aasimar (immortal spark and scion of humanity)
1 Oracle/6 Shaman / X Stargazer.

Stats (Level 1)
STR - 8(9-1)
DEX - 6(7-1)
CON - 11(12-1)
INT - 14 (13+1)
WIS - 20 (17+ 2+1)
CHA - 18 (15+2+1)

Picking the oracle with the lore revelation to use Cha to reflex and AC, and the first feat to use Cha to INI.
Then regular shaman with hex for crafting and not even looking at the fights untill i get at least a guided longspear.

Samsaran Shaman

I'm starting an Emerald spire campaign on PbP(play by post) and i'm thinking about building a Shaman. The rest of the party are a Witch, a Paladin(who wants two or three oracle levels) and a Hunter (who will take care of the traps.

I Basically though 3 ways i could go: Samsaran Shaman. 20 PB go full str and wis, take the oracle archetype and steal paladin spells , ignoring the Lore spirit shenanigans.

Go Aasimar and vanilla shaman with full caster(though i don't know what I want to do with them), and dable with some item crafting with the wandering hex(and maybe weapons and armor),

Or maybe go the summon route(wich won't be specially good as I don't have the aura even if i take channel).

I'm kinda set on the shaman(just to test a different class), but not sure what should be my aim.

Ah, A special house rule, the race RP affects the traits I can get. 10 or less I can get 2 tratis or a feat(not humans), 11-15 1 trait, and 16-20 No traits.

You can Disintegrate a bow and dispel a bless, that don't make it a creature.

This is written in the spell description:
If the weapon goes beyond the spell range, if it goes out of your sight, or if you are not directing it, the weapon returns to you and hovers.
This two lines are what make me think that it needs your intervention

So your argument is "it's not me, it's my spell that is attacking", with a spell that is totally linked to you and does nothing if you don't direct it or you can't see your enemy. The way I see it, is like i'm just swinging my sword, not my fault you were in the way.

I doubt you know all the DM everywhere, spiritual weapon is clearly a spell, your spell, that you are directing. Would you say the same for spectral hand and interposing hand?
You don't summon a creature, just because it can act in auto mode doesn't mean it's a real entity.

It's a spell you casted and you make it attack. That you make the attack indirectly doesn't mean you are not attacking. When I DM it would break invisibility too. Just as I would if an alchemist threw bombs to an "open space" that is luckyly next to your enemy.

Goes out of your sight = returns to you. I would say your sight is pretty limited if you are dead.

No, if the cleric dies, the weapon hovers around your body.

I say it again, spiritual weapon is not a summoning spell. If you look at the spell, it even applies Spell resistance(guess who's caster level will it use?) and pufs if the cleric doesn't overcome it.
I'll just paste it:

School evocation [force];
Range medium (100 ft. + 10 ft./level)
Effect magic weapon of force
Duration 1 round/level (D)
Saving Throw none; Spell Resistance yes

And this:
The weapon always strikes from your direction. It does not get a flanking bonus or help a combatant get one. Your feats or combat actions do not affect the weapon. If the weapon goes beyond the spell range, if it goes out of your sight, or if you are not directing it, the weapon returns to you and hovers.

The "weapon" has no speed, has just range. If you lose sight of it, it stops working.

So you say if a wizard casts a poison arrow and trhows it at me it doesn't apply either because... acid is not the evil wizard.
Same with telekinesis. It is a force effect, not a summoning spell.
The weapon(and the ally) are spells, not entities, that act like something else, it says so in the description.
If you are saying Smite evil doesn't apply to spells, please show me where it says so.

I am the player and as the weapon is stated as a spell efect and not a creature (doesn't attack on his own, has no alignement, no cmd, doesnt occupy a square, etc...)
I see at all effects as an extension of the cleric, similar to a telekinesis spell.

So the easiest meatshield would be the inquisitor burning a feat on the heavy armor?
I'm atracted to the huntmaster, but my Dm is kind of a dick and if the dog dies it will take forever to pick a new one(months of training)

Mm I don't know, my GM insisted about the nature of the dungeon and the small space for fighting, also they would need the help now, because the barbarian was almost chopped in half by some ogre(his Ac is around 15).

I meant Gunslinger, samurai, ninja and classes from advanced class guide are not playable. Inquisitor and magus can be played. Probably others wont either. Asume Core and Base clases from the ogc.

I'm replacing a player in a game that left for personal issues. I have some ideas but not a firm decision yet.
The character i'm replacing is a human paladin but i'm using a diferent character.

The game has 4 other players that just hit level 2. A gnome alchemist, a scarred witch doctor, a human barbarian(striker, not really tanky) and a life oracle(support, low Ac and str). They asked me to bring a frontliner, as the barbarian is alone now. We are playing emerald spire and can only pick core races. Class and archetipes are ok, but Gunslinger, Samurai, Ninja and others from Advanced Class Guide are out.
15p buy so Mad classes will be hard to play. 1 Trait only(the other one is from a list and most a bit lame)

I'd probably want some skills and magic, have been eyeballing the inquisitor and the magus. Bard would probably fit but i'm already playing one in another game and i'd rather use something different.

So, something that goes well with low point buy, tanky and if possible versatile. The gm said the adventure is mostly underground so probably dwarf or half orc for the darkvision.
