Male Human Cleric (Good, Sun) 2

Too bad, but there's nothing wrong with bowing out gracefully. Thanks for the game!

Male Human Cleric (Good, Sun) 2

Could we get a map, or a detailed description of who is standing where currently? I'm having trouble envisioning what's going on.

Male Human Cleric (Good, Sun) 2

Zilroy grabs his sword and flails about uselessly.

Male Human Cleric (Good, Sun) 2

Zilroy cries out "Aaaagh! Something bit me, and it was no goblin!!"

Male Human Cleric (Good, Sun) 2

Zilroy casts an eye about and then heads through the hole in the wall.

Male Human Cleric (Good, Sun) 2

I updated Zilroy. By the way, I will be on vacation from Aug 19-26. So I'll see you in a week!

Male Human Cleric (Good, Sun) 2

Now that the final rules are out (http://paizo.com/prd), Zilroy will make a couple of changes:
-Good and Sun domains work slightly differently
-clerics lose heavy armor proficiency
-humans lose their free martial proficiency

I think that's about it.

Male Human Cleric (Good, Sun) 2

Zilroy smiles uneasily. "Uh...perhaps we can let this dead man rest in peace, for the moment and move on."

He utters a brief prayer over the corpse, trying not to betray his squeamishness.

Male Human Cleric (Good, Sun) 2

Zilroy asks Lothian to reveal any enchantments in the area.

Male Human Cleric (Good, Sun) 2

Work sucks. On that note, I'll be on vacation until Monday. See you then!

Male Human Cleric (Good, Sun) 2

Zilroy gulps down a lump of fear and heads off through the hole in the wall.

Male Human Cleric (Good, Sun) 2

"That's very...talented, Tusker. Do you suppose there are more rats down there?" Zilroy is turning a little green as he begins to head down with his glowing arrow in one hand.

Male Human Cleric (Good, Sun) 2

"I don't suppose someone could check for booby traps, could they? I'd do it myself, but I wouldn't know a booby trap from a booby prize..."

Zilroy utters a brief prayer and one of the arrows in his quiver begins to glow softly.

Male Human Cleric (Good, Sun) 2

"Then by all means, let's return while there is still daylight outside. Thank you, Father Fabitor, for taking care of these wretches. Keep a close eye on them..."

Male Human Cleric (Good, Sun) 2

"Please, let's come back afterwards. The sooner we get rid of these munchkins, the better!"

Male Human Cleric (Good, Sun) 2

Zilroy scratches his head. "All right, I suppose Father Fabitor might have some good advice. They look like they'll follow us, I suppose."

He puts away his sword and draws his bow, training it on the unruly rabble.

Male Human Cleric (Good, Sun) 2

"Not to mention the Brotherhood of Redemption. I'm sure they could show these goblins the error of their ways, if their hearts aren't completely blackened yet."

Male Human Cleric (Good, Sun) 2

Zilroy looks at Tusker agog. "You can actually speak to these little beggars? What are they saying?"

Male Human Cleric (Good, Sun) 2

Zilroy turns to Rynia and says: "Oops."

He looks down at the goblin attached to his leg. "Do you speak human language? What are you doing in this house in the first place?"

Male Human Cleric (Good, Sun) 2
JollyRoger wrote:
All three goblins are screeching in their language, that can only be described as painful to the civilized ear.

"Er...Give up! We have you surrounded!" Zilroy yells back, wishing he had more of an ear for languages.

Male Human Cleric (Good, Sun) 2

Zilroy plucks up his courage and flings the door open (assuming it's closed).

Male Human Cleric (Good, Sun) 2

Zilroy gets ready to handle any goblins that wake up.

Male Human Cleric (Good, Sun) 2

"Sounds like it might work. After you, madam!"

Male Human Cleric (Good, Sun) 2

"If we can hand them over to the Brotherhood of Redemption," Zilroy whispers, "then they at least have a chance to improve."

Male Human Cleric (Good, Sun) 2

Zilroy eloquently raises an eyebrow. "Shall we awaken these 'ghosts'?" he whispers, sword at the ready.

Male Human Cleric (Good, Sun) 2

Zilroy prays for light from the Daykeeper and his sword begins to glow.

Cast Light, just in case.

Male Human Cleric (Good, Sun) 2

"Don't ghosts sometimes rattle chains? I think I heard that in a campfire story as a boy. Combined with the white sheets, I suspect the supernatural is not involved in this 'haunting'."

Male Human Cleric (Good, Sun) 2

"If there be evil spirits here," Zilroy murmurs, "let them fear the name of Specterbane..."

1d20+2=13

Male Human Cleric (Good, Sun) 2

"All right, friend Cadwyn. I was never very good at skulking around, so a proper entry through the front door sounds good to me."

Zilroy draws his sword and directs a silent prayer to Lothian for courage.

Male Human Cleric (Good, Sun) 2

"Well...it might not be ghosts after all. But let's be prepared for anything."

Male Human Cleric (Good, Sun) 2

"Hello, sister. Blessings upon you and this house! What can you tell us about the uneasy spirits that you've seen?" Zilroy gives the woman a warm smile.

Male Human Cleric (Good, Sun) 2

"Now, now, Gallows," Zilroy chides the warrior, "You can't judge an individual by his name alone. The Daykeeper's justice doesn't work that way."'

"So, shall we be off?"

Miasshirra wrote:
After introductions are concluded, she asks how the party is related to Phon. "Last night, I overheard you say that someone wants to kill Phon. She seemed like such a nice person when I met her, and I thought I should tell Father Fabitor. Oh yes, does the name 'Merthul' mean anything?"

"Phon is a parishioner of Father Fabitor's. Some villains were threatening her life, and we tried to deal with the problem. I'm afraid I don't know what a murthle is, though."

Male Human Cleric (Good, Sun) 2

"Yes, now that we are all acquainted, Miss Miashirra is it?, we can learn more about these malign spirits before we put them to rest."

Male Human Cleric (Good, Sun) 2

"I'll meet you here on the morrow, then." Zilroy takes his leave and returns to the shabby dormitory for acolytes. His dreams are surprisingly quiet; perhaps his great-grandfather knows he will need his rest in order to face the undead...

Male Human Cleric (Good, Sun) 2

"Exorcising a haunted house? That is something it would be my pleasure to do. The Specterbane name shall live on again!" Zilroy seems almost cheery at the thought of tackling malign spirits.

Male Human Cleric (Good, Sun) 2

"You really think that Phon might be in deeper trouble, Gallows? Oh my...I never even considered that. That would just be my luck -- I try to help someone out and just make things worse. The story of my life..." Zilroy sighs gloomily.

He looks hesitantly at the pile of coins that Yarag has produced. "I'm not sure I approve of looting the dead...but on the other hand, I don't approve of cowardly sneak attacks, especially against myself. And...<ahem>...I could use the money." Rather sheepishly, he deposits the ill-gotten gains in his money pouch.

Male Human Cleric (Good, Sun) 2

"Father Fabitor, rather than listen to reason, this man invited us into his home and then attacked us. Sadly, we had no choice but to defend ourselves. Fortunately, the Daykeeper's favour smiled upon us and we survived the ambush.

Where is Phon? I want to tell her she should be safe now."

Male Human Cleric (Good, Sun) 2

"Hello, we're looking for a young lady named Phon. Father Fabitor was looking after her, I think. Are either of them in at the moment?"

Male Human Cleric (Good, Sun) 2

Zilroy looks a bit surprised. "That's a good question. Maybe the city watch is supposed to deal with such things?

Anyways, we have to get back to the church and let Phon know she doesn't need to worry about Cran any more. Rynia and Cadwyn, have you met Father Fabitor?"

Male Human Cleric (Good, Sun) 2
Cadwyn Tallis wrote:
Cadwyn nods his head backwards to the departing guard. "Was their trouble? Did someone set the fire intentionally?"

Zilroy shakes his head sadly. "It is a sorry tale. Master Cran -- who is a smuggler, it seems -- was harrassing a young woman, to the point of attempted murder! When we tried to confront him with our suspicions, he and his myrmidons attacked us.

And this is the city you love like a sister? Sometimes I think I should emigrate to the provinces, but I fear my great-grandfather's shade would never rest if I gave up on his dreams." He sighs resignedly.

Male Human Cleric (Good, Sun) 2

Zilroy cures any remaining wounds by channeling the favour of the Daykeeper.

Channel energy until all wounds are healed.

Then he turns to the two newcomers who helped tackle the blaze. "Once again, I thank you for your assistance. My name is Brother Zilroy; who might you be?"

Male Human Cleric (Good, Sun) 2

"Blessings upon all of you! May the Daykeeper give you the strength to fight this blaze!" Zilroy calls to the fire-fighting crowd before turning to the mage.

"Mr Adderwood, Cran invited us into his house as guests and then attempted to kill us. Bodyguard or not, your actions were those of an assassin. But if you were truly working for this scoundrel out of duty rather than malice, then your duty ended with his life. There is no need to remain silent about his plans for Phon now, is there? This secret should be brought forth into the Daykeeper's light."

Male Human Cleric (Good, Sun) 2

I think we'll be moving to Father What's-His-Name's church pretty soon, although I imagine you're welcome to come up to our characters right now and see what the hubbub is about.

Male Human Cleric (Good, Sun) 2

Zilroy starts in surprise as he sees the full extent of Cran's injuries.

"Oh! With all the confusion, I didn't realise-- Is he dead?" The priest inspects the extent of Cran's wounds and bandages him, if necessary. [Heal, take 10]

Male Human Cleric (Good, Sun) 2

Zilroy wastes no time leaving the burning house!

"Cran, from what Phel has said, she did nothing to her and yet you try to assassinate her. And now you try to kill us when we just try to talk to you! You'll have to answer for these outrageous acts."

Male Human Cleric (Good, Sun) 2

Zilroy notices the many small wounds he and his companions have and prays for assistance.

"Daykeeper! Hear my prayer and protect the souls of your poor servants down below your shining face!"

Channel energy. Exclude the wizard and one other wounded enemy.

Zilroy stammers, "Well, this is your doing. I wanted to discuss this like gentlemen, but you ambushed us, remember."

He lashes out with his longsword at the nearest enemy.

Zilroy staggers back a step and grimaces. "St-stand back and call off these dogs! There are six of us and four of you -- let's talk this out sensibly."

He holds his shield in front of himself warily and stabs cautiously at one of the dogs.
