What the 2e Solarian should look like. Learn from the kineticist. Don't give Solarians all of their manifestations at level 1. That just makes them all suck.
SOLAR MANIFESTATIONS
At 1st level, choose one of the following solar manifestations: solar weapon, solar flare, solar nimbus.
At 7th level and again at 15th level, you can choose to improve in using the one you chose at an earlier level, or to gain another solar manifestation.
Solar Weapon
Pretty much everything thats already listed. Add Thrown 20 ft to the list.
Solar Flare
Your solar flare utilizes stellar energy for ammunition. When you manifest your solar flare, it starts with an amount of stellar ammunition equal to 5 + half your Solarian level(rounded up). You can spend one action (Concentrate) to channel your stellar powers and create more ammunition, reloading your solar flare.
Choose either one-handed or two-handed.
1 hand: d6, 30 ft Range Increment
Choose two: Agile(reduces damage by one step), Boost, Tethered
2 hands: d8, 50 ft Range Increment
Choose two: Agile(reduces damage by one step), Boost, Propulsive, Volley 30 ft.(increases damage by one step)
Solar Nimbus
Should have options to choose like resistance to specific types of damage and other things to help with defensiveness.
