Zeigris himself wanders over to the ship and works on seeing if the thing will even start up. "We ought to be able to use this to get home, since our employer has abandoned us here."

Ziggy continues to fire wildly and hopefully at the creature while it starts chewing on Maenala. "Eventually, yes. But my more immediate concern is whether it will die before we do!"

Ziggy takes the offered serum and downs it while pulling the files off the computer. "Appreciated, miss Maenala. With that I should be quite fine. This isn't the first time I've had a computer explode in my face." He frowns and then turns his head to look at her. "Now that I think on it, that happens way more than should probably be reasonable."

He tuts and drops to the floor to rest a moment, scanning over the files. "I can't read these without magic, and I'm very limited in what I can still do today. I think it would be wise for me to save my magic and we can see what these say after we get out of here."

Zeigris is resting for 10 minutes to recover his stamina.

Zeigris's haphazard fiddling with the computer leads to some dire results as a sudden blast of electrical energy rips through his body from hands to hair. The source of his normally crazy hairstyle might be a bit more clear after this moment as he freezes up, then tilts over to slam into the floor on his back. He sits there a moment and then coughs. "I do believe there are a few malfunctions with this system. Let me... augh, let me see if I can fix those, get into this computer, and then take a bit of a rest."

Suit singed and one of the lenses of his goggles cracked, he gets to work on removing shorted out parts, then retries accessing the computer.

Then I will take 20 on hacking the computer for a 28, then if I can I want to rest 10 minutes to recover my stamina!

Zeigris shrugs and settles down to spend a few minutes working on the computer, as no one seems inclined to rush him. "I am more concerned about food at this particular juncture, though I suppose I did bring enough to eat for a week. It's more likely if we are here too long Astral Extractions will try to forcibly take the asteroid, and kill us in the process anyways."

Zeigris approaches the computer and scans it for a few moments before beginning to experiment with the buttons in a dangerously haphazard fashion. "Hmmm, this device seems to be a bit too secure for me to access, I'm afraid. Unless we're willing to spend considerable time with me experimenting on it."

Zeigris will let out a long, over-exaggerated breath while wiping the seat from his brow. "Purely luck, I'm afraid. I don't get to the practice range nearly often enough. But yes, let me get a look at this door."

Zeigris approaches around Maenala and begins tinkering with the door lock.

"It would appear all of this is made of some sort of ceramic-metallic plating. It reminds me of adamantine alloy, but I've never actually seen it before."

Ziggy continues to fire at the robot, not really having much hope for his own accuracy at this point. Which is why he is somewhat baffled when he hits the thing right in the eye.

Zeigris will pop off a couple of pistol shots towards the machine. "Generally older models of automaton rely on remote or internal activation. Getting close to it would only be the first concern, it would likely take quite some period of tinkering... which would only increase if it refused to stay still!"

Zeigris flattens himself against the wall as the bolt shoots by, letting it merely singe a few of his already burnt hairs. "Perhaps someone engaged an auto-pilot protocol. We should contact our patron about that." He levels his laser pistol at the robot and fires off a shot as he shuffles down the hallway. "I believe with it's current malfunction we would be best served by engaging its manual shutdown, Miss Maenala."

"Largely immaterial. A larger issue is their current efforts to devour us. Though my assumption would be some sort of pathogen, like in the classic movies." Zeigris continues to fire his blaster at the red zombie.

Zeigris finds himself down yet another tunnel he's less than thrilled to reach the end of. That being said, he also finds his current position fairly comfortable for the situation. "Please mind your head, Mr. G. I shall be firing across your proverbial bow at one of the creatures."

Ziggy will continue to take advantage of his positioning the rather stirring motivational words of Maenala to continue draining his blaster's battery into the side of the... creature... thing. "Mr. G, do avoid any significant damage or we may be forced to fall back for a recovery period. Rather inconvenient!"

Zeigris will clomp right along behind August, opting to bring out his more familiar Azimuth pistol to take a shot at the monstrosity. "I do not recognize this creature, but it reminds me of zombies from several classic movies I've watched." He takes a shot that proves noticeably less impressive than his allies, but still appears reasonably accurate.

"The shuttle would be more effective. Though if we're not pressed for time I would appreciate a bit of a nap. I have exhausted the brunt of my unique resources for the day and could use time to charge my batteries." He chuckles softly to myself. "Figuratively and literally."

Zeigris adjusts his goggles and gives a nod to August now that he can see the man's face. "I presume you'd like to join us."

"Why miss Maenala, flattery will get you everywhere." He'll adjust his goggles and step up next to August, trying to gently move the mystic aside. "Allow me, my dear man. You're adept enough, but I take these things apart in my boredom." After a moment he adds as an afterthought, "Sometimes I put them back together again."

With August having already powered the computer up, Zeigris immediately begins working with quick fingers and the keycard to access the secure logs and bypass the system defenses. "Hmmm, they never patched out the meltdown issue in their processors... tsk."

Taking 10 for a 23!

Can I take 10 on these computer checks? With the card I can't fail them if I take 10. Otherwise I'll toss out some rolls and post!

"Troubling and troubling. Mr. G is not looking particularly healthy. I shall attempt to end this situation post haste." Because the best sort of weapon is one you don't even have to bother to aim. Zeigris lets out yet another barrage of magical power to slam into the last akata.

"Well this is inconvenient and distracting. I apologize, Mr. August. I can't unleash another delightful barrage with it standing so close." Zeigris pulls out his survival knife, keeping the tactical emitter in his other hand. "Allow me to be a bit more surgical in assisting you." He then tries to stab the red akata in the neck with an unhanded thrust.

Zeigris, from his newer and safer position, will wind up a much larger magical blast. This time a trio of missile will fly from his fingertips and slam into the yellow Akata right behind August's shot.

Zeigris yelps in surprise at the Akata suddenly in his face, which is a bit unnecessary considering how many of the things the party has seen at this point. He 'carefully' shoves his way past August and Maenala so he's not quite so close before turning about and pointing his hand at the creature. "Do watch your heads, my dear friends!"

His right eye lights up with a green energy that traces circuitry down his arm until it explodes from his palm as a pair of energy blasts that collide with the red akata.

A shot of August's electric pistol sparks by Zeigris's head and some of his white hair starts to smoke faintly. He wrinkles his nose. "Does anyone else smell burning? I didn't think fire could harm these!" If the creature still stands following the latest barrage then he will fire off another blast of arcing fire.

"And an excellent limiting parameter on their movement it is, Mr. G. Do pardon me." Ziggy steps up to the edge of the door and aims the arc emitter around the corner of the frame to blast a cone of electricity into the room. "Please watch your hands!"

I should have cover to block the AoO from there if I'm reading the map correctly. I have to roll for both enemies at -2 since I'm trying to blast multiple targets, but I do 1 damage roll.

"Well they appear to be delightful, I vote we keep them. A little food and water and they might make interesting pets!" As the group continues on and August locates the trap, assuming he points it out, Zeigris will gentle try and slip past the mystic to get a better look at the sensor. "Interesting, interesting. Let's see how it works, shall we? If I happen to explode or hit by significant amounts of electricity please put me back together."

Zeigris will then pull out his trap kit and begin fiddling with the door.

"Well, this is fantastic! I haven't seen one of these little things on amiable terms in... well ever! Their ability to think a bit sideways always fascinated me." Despite his enthusiasm, Ziggy doesn't drop his weapon around the little space gremlins, but he does fish through his supplies to toss them one of his daily rations. "Just how did you manage to get on this nasty ship anyways?"

Ziggy grabbed comprehend languages, and he also has fabricate tech the magical hack in case we need a particular tool.

Sorry for the delay, the servers being a mess yesterday made it tough for me do much!

Ziggy trails along, taking particular note of the box in question when August points it out. The technomancer wanders over while the room is scanned and starts poking at the box experimentally. "In fact we did, our good new friend. Eox's embassy hired us to help with their mediation of the claim rights to this mess. And they volunteered for the task as it would give them the chance to claim their package."

He leans in closer and adjusts his goggles. "I'm almost tempted to pop it open out of curiousity."

"Oh, my yes it is Miss Sepulcher. It's a delightful little toy, a bit heavy on the battery usage, I'm afraid." He still hasn't seemed to have figured out calling Maenala by her first name. And is completely content to follow after her as she starts looking about. "Hard to say, maybe they snuck the akata on themselves, and things got out of hand."

Ziggy is fine with that order of exploration. I'll level of when I get home tonight!

Ziegris takes a few moments to reload his oversized electricity cannon while August shuffles past him, then fires a jolt from it past mystic's head at the Akata. He seems completely unperturbed by their slightly dire situation.

Ziegris lines up another arcing blast of electricity and unleashes at the still kicking beast. For good measure he tries to lay on the trigger longer, but the sparks gutter out after just a moment. "I regret to inform you all that I shall need a moment to reload this blasted thing. A moment please."

Ziggy plans to take full advantage of his position and the remaining charges in his new toy, humming happily to himself as he lets loose another cone of eletrical energy at the akata.

Ziggy has been distracted between collecting up egg shells to move to the ship, taking a rest, and poking at various doodads about the vessel. Thus, it's only now that he helpfully calls out. "That's a space goblin... no not that thing, the dead one on the ground. I wonder how it got here."

Exhausted of all magical resources and having found his own blaster useless against these things he holds up the arc emitter they found moments ago and steps into the room. He aims the weapon towards the wall so the spread of electricity won't hit 607 and fires off a blast.

"Well, I suppose that's an excellent means of collecting specimens." Ziegris examines his wounds with any real care for their severity or the fact a few of them are still oozing blood. He stops examining himself to actually consider August. "Well, to be fair we had no idea you were here. Happy circumstance, really. Have you been here long enough to go insane from loneliness?"

Something catches his attention from the corner of an eye and he leans down to pick up a shard of material from the floor. "My my, this appears to be a bit of cocoon... I think it's made of Noqual. Good for making things to fight mages..." His voice trails off and he carefully sets the crystal back down. "I need a rest, but we should take some of that with us to sell."

Ziggy continues to dance backwards, his goggles lighting up even as Maenala throws comments out about them. "I do believe she means me, my dear new friend. Unfortunately I'm scraping the bottom of my proverbial barrel and here comes my last assault! Just don't tell them that!" He releases his last volley of magical energy into its side.

Zeigris, bloodied and barely standing, doesn't have any laterally thinking quips, as he is too busy examining his own injury with interest. He does remain aware of the situation enough to wisely step back from the thing attempting to chew on him.

A spark of magical light starts at his eye and dances down into his hand before rippling as a pair or force attacks into the red creature's side.

Ziegris takes the bite to his arm with some consternation a a few muttered words about infection rates and damage to interosseous tissue. After jerking his arm free he gives the blaster a flat look before pulling out his knife and trying to drive it into the creature's head.

"My stars, I do believe we've located some other group of scavengers... I mean, not that we're scavengers, but you know..." Zeigris mutters faintly to himself and shuffles over to where he can find a bit of cover before trying to take a shot at the red creature with his pistol. "I believe high levels of prejudice are advisable."

Sorry! I was running one of my local game days yesterday and when I went to do all my catch-up's today I forgot this one because I'd already read the new messages!

"Oh, ummm... sensors, right. I'm suppose to be managing sensors. Ah hum. Zeigris fumbles his way back from the secondary weapon controls he'd been toying with after giving their broken opponent a few unnecessary parting shots. He settles back down at the now messy scanners and begins to play about the buttons with distracted ease. "I'll see what's on board, shall I? Hopefully they didn't get misaligned through all the fancy stunts." He laughs absently.

Ziggy will forgo targetting again enhancements to jump on the front gun once again, trying to take advantage of the arch while Maenala's quick maneuvers are giving him the chance. "Excellent efforts, Miss Sepulcher, I believe I have a shot as well."

Ziggy assumes that the enemy ship won't let him keep the front lasers trained on it and jumps back towards the science panels, leaning over them while still standing in order to punch up a lock onto the enemy vessel's power core.

Can't fail the roll for the science check for targeting. Targeting action to increase the crit threat range for 607 and make critical effects hit the power supply.

Ziggy, finally seeing an opportunity to help out with the forward weapons, launches dramatically over his console towards the laser cannon controls. His foot catches on the science station as he goes and he slams his chest into the device, but he's able to get a hold the targeting system and take a shot at their attacker.
