Silver Fist
In the era after the end of the God’s War Yana Suk found himself lost without purpose. An Ancient Warrior of Tiamat blessed with the Silver Fists of the Dragon Goddess herself, of whom time has lost its hold on now travels a world void of challenge.
Wary of his own power Yana sat in meditation and consulted the Sun and the Moon. For years Yana sat motionless in his Sanctuary Peak of Yao Tsuk, a maze of craggy mountain tops which in themselves took years to traverse. “What is my purpose” Yana asked the Sun and the Moon. Yana sat on the mountain top, the elements his only companions. The Sun offered Yana the ability to understand any manner of creature; The moon being jealous of the Sun’s gift gave every creature the ability to understand Yana in an attempt to outdo the Sun.
After some time, Yana was visited by the Avatar of Sun. It radiated an intense heat, although without pain Yana asked, “what is my purpose?” To this the avatar answered in combat. To Yana’s dismay he was unable to land a single blow on the Avatar, the Avatar instead teased Yana’s greatness with a series of trips and pushes that continually kept the Master off balance. The Avatar pushed Yana’s body to near death and as Yana lay before the Avatar its warmness spread over him and new sigils and tattoos spread across his chest revealing an open palm. The Avatar of Sun bestowed upon Yana his knowledge and thus Yana became the owner of the Open Hand Technique.
Yana continued meditation and the Moon, jealous of the Sun came to Yana in the night. The moon’s presence was elusive and was presented to Yana as four Avatars of Shadow. Despite Yana’s efforts he was never able to land a blow on the figures, every time he thought he would strike, the Avatar would dissipate and reappear behind Yana to strike ruthlessly. This bout continued through several days, the Sun seeming to be suppressed. At the point of exhaustion Yana submitted to the shadow and the Sun shone bright in the sky for the first time in a week, each of the four shadows became one with Yana, extending across the Sanctuary. Dark tattoos etched across Yana’s forearms, extending to his shoulder. In the nights to follow the Moon’s shadow returned and taught Yana the Way of Shadow.
With the knowledge of the Sun and the Moon Yana abandoned his sanctuary and began the slow descent down the mountain of Yao Tsuk. Along his journey he was met by harsh weather… the squall presented to him the Avatar of Water, the Earthquake the Avatar of Earth, Lightning storms brought the Avatar of Fire, and hurricane like winds presented the Avatar of Air. To each Yana duelled, using the gifts of the sun and moon he spoke and sparred the elements, each imposing their gift upon his back in intricate tattoo work, and on the journey Yana developed the Way of the Four Elements.
Yana’s question was now answered; his knowledge, patience and understanding of the Primal Elements would provide purpose. And thus Yana returned to the world and spread his gift of kung-fu. Each region of the world was bestowed with different disciplines and Monasteries were raised in Yana Suk’s name. (in current years, there is no history of the founding of the Disciplines or temples, his legacy lost)
Without equal and having spread his knowledge, Yana Suk, the Silver Fist of Tiamat returned to his Sanctuary at Yao Tsuk awaiting those brave and skilled enough to reach his hand built Temple to Tiamat.
Yana spread his knowledge to those who sought him and eventually his mythos became legend and Yana disappeared from the world; his temple now occupied by those who believe in his legend and seek the truth of Yana Suk, the Silver Fist, father of Martial Arts, Chosen Warrior of Tiamat.
