Its not the kind of thing that Zane would keep around. His spells have toughened his body and sharpened his senses but swords, body armor, and the like he wouldn't have around, unless it was decoration. He could buy something but probably wouldn't have it sitting around to use. Perhaps we should go buy something while we still can? Maybe a military surplus might have something like Kevlar.
I should be able to come up with something...but we wouldn't have them until tomorrow if I next day air them. Jumps on ipad...These look likely. It says they are ear pices...like the secret service use. Hmmm, they only have a 30 day warranty though.
As the noise occurs, a camera slowly moves to you. Zane is quickly notified and he sits down cross legged. He mutter a few arcane words and a shadowy copy of him lifts out of his body and through the ceiling. It moves quickly to Orion and them motions him to follow. He leads them back to the cellar where Zane rejoins his body then opens the door. Welcome...to my lair! he chuckles, I think I have always wanted to say that.
Stating outloud what he has heard about them, One of the Crushers at large is Big Bill Buckford, aka the Bull, a psychotic physical juggernaut. He is known to become mindlessly enraged by the color red. He is a killer.
Zane mulls this over.

We can wait for them to strike next and try to catch them, try to get them to meet us, or try to find where they are hiding...might be pretty difficult.
Dialkar wrote: Dialkar looks at everything...slowly scanning, taking it in...but unsure of what it all means. Looking at Dialkar, At some point my insect friend we will have to figure out a way to talk with you. Until then you will have to make sure you let us know if you understand and agree with what we are saying. Does that sound reasonable? There must be a spell that can help with that...so lets see what we know about the "Crushers".
You follow Zane to a Suburban. It fits 7 fairly comfortably. He drives you to a suburb of town then turns on a small side road. He chats with you amiably, telling you about how he has been secluded in his studies until recently. Feel free to retcon any conversation with the group on the ride over, otherwise we can pick it up inside. You come to a gated entrance but only see some manicured woods beyond. You follow a packed gravel road until it opens up to what appears to be some Manor grounds. A large Manor is ahead and Zane drives around to the back and pulls into a large garage going underneath the manor. He waits for the others to fly in before closing it. We should have penty of privacy here, my family prizes its privacy, not many have been here before. Follow me. He leads you into a lower basement with a well stocked, large wine cellar. He pulls on a bottle of wine and a panel flips open. He places his and on it then keys in some kind of code into another keypad before the wall slides open revealing a larger chamber beyond. It appears to be some kind of laboratory with a number of books, a small server farm, and some tables where all sorts of things are laying on and one large central table that is clear. There are a number of odd drawings on the floor as well. We will be safe from prying eyes here. Feel free to grab a tablet and look at anything from the internet. Sit. He points to a very large table that looks like it might have been carved from a Redwood from the sized and color. Drawings (Runes) lie across the top of it. Zane sits down.
Has the TV crew packed up yet? If so my original post stands. GM can you let me know about my question at the bottom of this post? Thx. Zane Kheldon wrote:
Zane has been standing in the back, quiet for the moment. He has stayed away from the camera and only approaches the group when it is off and the crew is leaving. He is dressed in a finely crafted business suit, more of a wall street banker look than a super hero. I am Zane, if I can be of service let me know. I have certain powers as well. I am handy in a fight and have the power to fly through walls...if warranted. I agree, we can't just go rumaging through the Crusaders stuff if they are just out of town.
He looks to Dialkar, Do you understand us? Do this for yes and this for no. gesturing for yes and no. Perhaps we should go somehwere and check out our potential adversaries and their powers from the various news articles about them on the internet?
GM, I imagined my family is fairly wealthy with them having their powers for so long. Not wealty enough to be building devices like Tony Stark, but wealthy enough where I would have a manor, one that we could possibly a base of operations for the team? Is this okay with you?
orionbasher wrote: It's kind of the key power of the HERALD so I'd like to have it a least more than once in a fight if possible. Heh, remember you are a lvl 1 herald. Poofing the BBEG into a toaster is a VERY powerful ability. If I remember from my V&V days there wasn't really anything that powerful, especially when we start.
Dialkar, are you sure you want to be captured...do you know what the government would do with you? It will be interesting to have you around. Most people will run when they see you or fear you are the bad guy.
And we need to be at a location where there is lots of violence and evil-doers. The worst thing that happens in Boulder is someone gets too stoned and falls asleep on his/her couch.
Eldritch blast was what I was imagining. As I work as a good Warlock my blast actually looks like a bright ray of light.
Have you given any thought to how we are all going to meet or get to know one another? I could see just getting to know each other as an interesting adventure. I am USA EST time BTW for posting and can post from 7am to 10pm and am a frequent poster.

Thanks WhtKnt I would like to start with some type of offensive spell then. Maybe a blast of magical energy or something similar that I can fire at a distance. As far as my other powers I would say that they are either bolstered from my magic, like my endurance, or are basically an innate spell like astral projection or detect weakness. I will try to grab the character sheet and update this profile over the weekend and then I will be ready to go. |
