I don't know, I found it rather adventurous, Yuvonesom counters, standing close to the hearth in an attempt to shake the chill that has settled in his bones, we found an information cache of a long lost, and possibly disgraced, Pathfinder, the story of which I'm sure our friend Iddo can tell much more... eloquently.

Yuvonesom growls, his claws raised high for a breathless moment, before bringing them down and nodding his head. His form shifts back to his aasimar visage, blood still dripping from his well manicured hands and nails. You wouldn't happen to have a cloth or rag as well as some water, would you? I'm afraid I've made a terrible mess, he asks of the remaining Aspis agent, fatigue and pain in his eyes, all traces of battle rage gone.

I'm totally fine with letting them be on their way and wrapping this up :-)

Yuvonesom, emboldened by the fall of his enemy, makes a wide run around the pillar to get to the last remaining opponent .ll vestiges of exhaustion have left his eyes, and only the fury of combat registers in his movements. He jumps into flanking with Maya to distract the poor creature and taking an overhand swipe with his left claws.

It is only once per day, but the first one was a spell like ability from being Aasimar while this one is a class ability, so I've used two separate resources that do essentially the same thing :-)

Yuvonesom glares darkly at the interlopers, clearly annoyed that they would take what his party has rightfully earned rather than obtain their own treasure. I echo my friend: we will be keeping our prize, and you have made a mistake attempting to take it.

He begins to stride purposefully toward the group, his body once again transforming as he does. He shrinks slightly, his skin taking on a mottled gray hue as it melts into scales, his nails alongating to claws, his face stretching to a reptilian mouth, until he once again looks like the troglodite the reveled so much in the killing of scorpions. But the act seems to have tired him much more than the last.

After a fashion... Yuvonesom says while rubbing the back of his neck, as if embarrassed, he wasn't home, but I believe we did find the word we would be looking for. The Shrine of the Failed, you say? Seems like an interesting place to hide... Whatever it is we're looking for, I guess we don't know exactly what it is, do we? He shrugs before looking back to Aram, I thank you very much for you help Aram, and I'll be sure to come back to tell you all about what we find.

Yuvonesom's morningstar is in his hands as quickly as the beetle corporates, and without missing a beat he takes the fight to the beetle, swinging his weapon in a downward chop at the creature. Unfortunately, the insect is lower than he thought, so he had already started resetting his swing before he hit the creature, stealing much of the momentum that may have cracked the creature's carapace.

I know nothing of these creatures, other than they look like beetles of some sort. Though you didn't need me for that.

Yes, it's one of the kinds of bases for potions. One of the most common, helps preserve the reagents better than most bases, the alchemist explains as he tries to either hand off the potions or store them in his own pack, there are other types of bases, of course, glycerine being chief among them, followed by vinegars and brines of different types. It all depends on your preference, really.

It would be prudent, if nothing else, Yuvonesom agrees, picking up one of the potions and taking a sip. His face screws up into a grimace at the taste of it, and he holds it out at a distance, Potion for curing moderate wounds. The alcoholic base is a bit strong for my tastes, but it could come in handy.

He re-corks the vial and places it on one of the newspapers nearby before unstopping the next. Maya, it was your suggestion. If you would like to lead the way, just say so, he says to the half-elf as a way to brace himself before taking a sip of the other potion. Rather than grimacing, has face falls back to neutral as he clicks his tongue a couple times. Absinthe? I've never heard of that used as a base before... he mumbles to himself before announcing, this potion is for restoring lost vitality that goes deeper than mere wounds. I don't know when this will be helpful, but I suppose we should keep it anyway.

Yuvonesom shrugs as the door remains closed and follows after Maya around the house, following in the party's footsteps through the window. So I'm not the only one that noticed that there were two Fimbriks, that's good. It's also possible that he could have set illusions to keep out intruders, rather than there being twin gnome wizards. I can't detect whether there is magi though, so I can't confirm my hypothesis.

Yuvonesom gives a stern look to Tagir for his brashness with the Maya, but chooses to let the comment slide for the time being. The lady was a Pathfinder as well, after all, she could probably handle herself.

He does smile, though, at the suggestion of enchanting the harmonica to make ridiculous noises when played, Yes, I think that could probably work. May even play to his sensibilities, if the stereotypes of gnomes are to be believed. He pauses when Maya speaks, listening to her input before replying, I believe either of those could work as well. Perhaps we should open with the enchantment request and then switch to the apprentice ruse if that fails us.

The alchemist takes some of his hair in his hands in an attempt to wring the water from it, looking less than pleased by what little he can actually remove from it. Unrelated to that, I loathe the feeling of wet hair on my neck and back. Drives me up the wall for some reason. I probably wouldn't dislike the rain if it weren't for that fact, truthfully.

"Excuse me sir, but might I speak with you about the finer points of the enchantment of hats?" Yuvonesom speaks in an exaggeratedly posh tone with a silly grin on his face. His face falls when he finds he can't locate a hat on his person, though. Well, I'm sure any garment will do. Whatever the case, wizards tend to love talking shop, and I'm not completely inept at that, so perhaps I can pose as some sort of potential apprentice or some such. Or perhaps someone better at misdirection should and I can coach them beforehand.

Sorry to have dragged you all out here for naught but cryptic riddles, somber moods, and pouring rain... Yuvonesom apologizes weakly, appearing to be a bit defeated by this revelation that he was so sure would be... well, something more, whatever it was.

The aasimar spends his own time staring at names on the wall, committing some to memory and vowing to overcome similar challenges that brought them down. Whether the vows are to himself or his god, he's not entirely sure, but he's not sure that it matters in the end. Yours seems to be a reasonable course of action, Maya. Perhaps this stonemason can give us context as to the riddles left on the wall.

Yuvonesom transforms back into his previous self after about half a minute and begins helping search through the notes.

I don't think that all of this was intended, Tagir, our host seems fairly shocked by all of this. And I can't take credit for all of the shock, he muses as he looks over the clues, tapping his chin as he ponders. Perhaps the wall of names should be our first stop, it is close and perhaps it will have the most information.

Yuvonesom hisses through his reptilian mouth, his tongue flicking past his lips as he rasps, Not so fast, little insect... as he stalks the escaping scorpion and tears his claws and teeth through the air as the thing shuffles backward, finding purchase on its carapace and mercilessly tearing.

Yuvonesom, to preoccupied with other things in his head apparently, participates little in the conversation about the secret tunnel, until the large beasties start coming out of it, at which point he springs into action. He suddenly begins transforming into something decidedly not himself, morphing into some sort of grotesque, gray cave lizard that stands on two feet. Despite the shifting features (most notably the mouth), he relays what he knows about these things to his comrades while the transformation takes place. When the transformation is complete, he takes off towards one of the creatures and raises one of his newly clawed hands, ready to strike.

Yuvonesom gives a smile that says he's had this discussion more than a few times in the past, but still enjoys having it, I feel that the ascended cheat themselves by ascending before they have reached the end of their path for perfection, but there is evidence that despite this they can be a force for good in the multiverse, and can pave the way for others to find their path to perfection. So while I don't agree with it, I respect those that have tried and those that have succeeded, for clearly the successes are a cut above.

As a matter of fact, I follow the path of The Master of Masters, Yuvonesom affirms while untying and displaying the token he had around his sash. The twine appears to be braided as if it were a length of hair, and the token itself is an open-palmed hand carved from some sort of white stone, while the hand is painted blue. It is actually why I pursue alchemy, as a way to hone my mind and body simultaneously, one discipline feeding into the other.

My half-orc is definitely not fond of Yargos after the events of Silent Tide...

Yuvonesom is torn between going to the Serenite's table and the table of Yargos Gill, certain that both of them and share some interesting knowledge with him. To buy himself time, he momentarily interupts Tagir's conversation to ask, would it be possible to get a bottle of wine? Something cheap, preferably white, but I don't want to impose.

That out of the way, he finally decides to take himself to Xen Shu and Aram, as the old man at the other table seemed to be more... scattered than he liked. I hope I'm not intruding, may I sit? Assuming he is accepted, he sits at the table and waits for whatever drink the bartender deigns to bring him. My name is Yuvonesom, patron of the alchemical arts.

Honestly, I came for the money to pay for my studies, but I find the adventure very good exercise.

The words belong to a man of average height with immaculately kept blond hair and eyes the color of marble statues, with a stark lack of pupils or irises to mar the perfectly white orbs. Under his cloak he wears a set of clothes that would look more appropriate on a monk than an adventurer, a pendant made in the shape of an open-palmed blue hand hangs from his sash, and a morningstar hangs from his right hip. The name is Yuvonesom, and my skills revolve around alchemy and physical combat, though don't expect me to be making a plethora of concoctions or throwing dangerous explosives like those other alchemists, he says with a chuckle that ends in a wracking cough that goes on for a few seconds before he regains his composure and offers his hand to the group.
