Satisfied that the boy had his priorities straight the knight returned to the business at hand. Disagreeing with Raff, ”Perhaps, it would be best if just secured your inheritance. The more I think on it I am less and less inclined to help this arrogant goat lord.”
”We are in agreement on that at least,” the knight said gravely. ”But to do so without a plan would be folly I fear.”
Also, our magic user hasn’t posted in any of his games in the last two weeks. We might want to recruit at some point.
Yennifer turned to the lad, ”Unfortunately, thievery cannot be tolerated.” She gives a withering look at Raff as she continued, ”and is never good. Isn’t that right Friar Theodor?”

”I agree good friar but it is his lawful right as lord of these lands to treat his servants as he sees fit… short of murder or rapine,” the knight offered pragmatically.
”Not pleasant at all. I feel dirty just talking to the goat lord,” she agreed. ”However, he is the lord of these lands and bandits must be dealt with.”

The gave a slight bow and turned to her companions, ”Lets speak to these guards about this bandit.”

Yennifer’s stands their stoically waiting to see how the noble handles the friar’s question.
The knight gave the goat woman a warm look and informed her, ”Very well then, we require an audience with your lord In regards to the worms outside of town.”
I’m posting this in all my games. We are expecting a major snow storm tomorrow. While I don’t expect to lose power or internet service it is always a possibility. If I don’t post tomorrow apologies in advance.
The knight observed the wretched looking goat-woman and asked with visible concern, ”Perhaps good woman but first I would ask about about your unseemly condition. Are you in need of aid?”
”Yes, House Harrowmore. Now, I suggest you not delay us any longer good sirs.”
The knight stopped, mouth agape, Raff, you silver tongued devil. She quickly recovered and added with a slight bow, ”Yennifer, of house Harrowmore at your lords service.
The knight agreed, ”Aye.”
The knight accompanied Raff as he approached the innkeeper but she couldn’t help wondering about the rogue’s inheritance.
”I don’t recall the lad mentioning a bounty,” the knight admits with shrug.
Yennifer almost felt sorry for Raff having to negotiate with Brother Theodor and the mage but the rascal probably deserved it.
”Shadwell, here, seems to think these worms are a problem,” the knight responded skeptically. Might be a chance to she if Shadwell here is worth hiring. A free audition of sorts.”
”Aye, we couldn’t let the young scamp go on his own,” Yennifer agreed with a conspiratorial wink.
Yennifer looked to the rogue, ”What does the letter be saying?”
”Hmm… doesn’t sound like that big of a problem…… the knight began to reply when the moss dwarf shouts for Raff. She looks to the rogue wondering what trouble he has gotten into now.
”And what problems have these worms been causing? Perchance, there is some reward for dealing with these creatures?”
Before the knight can reply to the server’s inquiry and assuage her hunger the lad Shadwell walks over. Yennifer listens to the conversation and her interest is peaked by the lads remarks. She clears her throat and asks, ”Hrmpph… lad… Shadwell have a seat and tell us about these worms but let me order some food first to break my fast.” Turning back to the older woman, ”Do you be having any Pook’s Pudding? If not I’ll take whatever is in the pot. And an Ale to sate my thirst.” She smiles warmly adding, ”And a drink for young Shadwell as well.”

A look of puzzlement crossed Yennifer’s face at the mage’s question, ”You’ve never had Pooks Pudding? You all be missing out. It’s a Dolmenwood specialty A suety pudding of mallow and locally foraged mushrooms.” She nodded her head enthusiastically, ”If they have any you should definitely try it.”

Yennifer’s stomach growled like some wild animal’s mating call as she sat at the table with her two companions. To get her mind off her hunger she asked those at the table, ”have you tried the pook’s pudding?”
I don’t thinks so. I think they were waiting for some direction from the GM about how we know each other and/or what brought us together in this town.
”Very well then. I was on my way to yonder inn to break my fast. Perchance you two would like to join me?”

The squire nodded in greeting at Raff’s approach and turned to the friar replying earnestly to his enquiry, ”No good sir. I held vigil in the chapel yester eve,” when Rafe’ made the religious sign over his hart she ardently joined him and hastily made the sign too. To Raff she offered stone faced, ”If you need help with the list I have a few ideas but it is probably best not to procrastinate your repentance and confess the transgressions you remember.”
I was hoping for some sort of intro from Qstor about that, to be honest :) Probably a good idea. I’m just a bit excited to play something in this setting and jumped the gun a bit.
Okay, I posted in the gameplay thread. I am assuming we already know each other.. at least in passing. We can work out connections to each other here if needed.
Yennifer’s armored boots clanked in rhythm as she marched across the cobblestone square. The young squire paused in the center of the market and her gaze turned north, her grey eyes piercing pass the eves and rooftops of the village, toward the forest. Her thin lips pressed together in what passed for a smile as she thought, Home is that way. While she stood in the square the statuesque woman straightened her red and black checkered tabard, which marked her affiliation with House Harrowmoor, and quickly adjusted her mace in its scabbard. She exhaled and looked away from the horizon continuing toward the Horned Stoats Rest with her long legged stride. As she hustled toward the Inn she surveyed the square, her eyes falling upon the Friar. Yennifer lifted her calloused hand in greeting, ”Good Morn, Brother Theodor.” She gestured with her head towards the chapel, her short golden blond locks hardly moving, and asked, ”have you completed your morning devotions?”

Turning the 3&4 to 5’s
Alright, this is what I’m looking at: An Otterling (mink) Untamed fury (multi class archetype Druid/Barbarian) / Legendary Ranger vmc Bard He should be useful in and out of combat with a bit of versatility. I plan on taking the possessed hand feat thinking that the former owner (Druid) has stubbornly hung around. Also, vmc bard might change to vmc Oracle but we shall see. If anyone have any input or ideas let me know.
Quick question can you have a multi-class archetype and the abilities from the 'special' table of a second class (i.e., no spellcasting), only the stuff in the column labeled 'special'. Also, I’ve done a lot of reading as I’m not familiar with some of the source material but Im pretty close to settling on something. Im leaning toward something druid-ish but I don’t want wild shape or a pet so I’m making harder on myself.
This is the alias that “Son of a Fish” will be using. There is some background information in the alias, with the transported human pretty much done, and the otterling background needing some work. I’m glad to hear that I have a few days as I’m still working on his crunch/class. |
