Class Features:
Constitution Dependent - A scarred witch doctor uses Constitution instead of Intelligence when determining the highest level of spells she can cast, her spell save DCs, number of spells known at 1st level, and any effects of her hexes normally determined by her Intelligence.
Fetish Mask - At 1st level, a scarred witch doctor forms a bond with a wooden mask. As she gains power, her connection to this mask causes it to grow ever more hideous and grotesque as it absorbs the weight of the self-induced pain that underlies her magic. Her spells derive from the insights her patron grants her while she's enduring the cuts, burns, and other sorts of mutilations she inflicts upon herself. Her fetish mask acts in all ways like a witch's familiar for the purpose of preparing and gaining spells. Rather than communing with a familiar to prepare spells each day, a scarred witch doctor hangs her mask on a wall, tree branch, or something similar and contemplates the agony it represents. When wearing her fetish mask, a scarred witch doctor gains a +2 circumstance bonus on Heal and Intimidate checks and gains a +2 bonus on saving throws against effects that specifically cause pain or have the pain descriptor. If the mask is destroyed, the witch doctor can create another fetish mask (which almost immediately adopts the shocking appearance of the original) for the same price and time it takes a witch to replace a dead familiar.
Hex Scar - Whenever a scarred witch doctor learns a hex, she must carve or brand a symbol in her flesh to represent this hex. She can disguise these scars with mundane or magical means, but they cannot be permanently removed.
Scarshield - At 1st level, a scarred witch doctor learns how to harden her mutilated skin, gaining an enhancement bonus to her natural armor bonus equal to 1/2 her class level (minimum +1). She can use this ability for a number of minutes per day equal to her class level. These minutes do not need to be consecutive but she must spend them in 1-minute increments. This ability replaces the witch's 1st-level hex.
Racial Features:
Ability Score Racial Traits - Human characters gain a +2 racial bonus to one ability score of their choice at creation to represent their varied nature.
Bonus Feat - Humans select one extra feat at 1st level.
Skills - Humans gain an additional skill rank at first level and one additional rank whenever they gain a level.

Patron Deception
Background:
As the sun sets upon the blood red peak of an active volcano, thundering roars echoes throughout the seemingly quiet forests below. Tall trees and thick shrubs covers the landscape of the rainforests of a forgotten continent. As the night falls, a thick fog slowly creeps in, engulfing all living things underneath its grasp. The preys are in a hurry to go back to the protection offerred by their homes while the predators are lurking exposing their razor sharp claws and poisonous fangs waiting for a perfect opportunity to strike. Eveything looks normal when all of a sudden, a loud cry for help was heard. A cry noone would eventually answer. The trees are shaking and leaves are falling. Even the rocks are turned as the creature tries desperately to survive the torture and agony being inflicted on it. On top of the stone, stands a human, laughing maniacally as she curses the dying creature. Seconds before it breathed its last, the dragon caught a glimpse of the silhoutte of another mythical entity behind the woman.
"Well done, you have improved a lot in mastering the skills I taught you. But I'm afraid I won't be able to stay and train you any longer. We are being overwhelmed as we speak. I am still weak from the wounds I've suffered. My power would not be able to protect ourselves any longer," the red dragon reached out it's claws and tattooed an image of a citadel on the woman's hands. "Seek out the knowledge buried beneath in this temple. If you're able to, then I will contact you and prepare you for the next step. For now, acquire more allies, learn more skills along the way as the road ahead is long and weary. We need to be ready for the day of reckoning. I'm entrusting you this,". The dragon engraved runic symbols along the Yenli's arms causing severe pain making her faint.
A few weeks has passed,"Ah, Oakhurst, this must mean I'm nearing Four Winds. Hopefully somebody here is worthy enough.". She grabbed her staff and put on her cloak. She slid the tiki mask behind her for the practice of arcane arts is somewhat a taboo to some. She grabbed a stool in the inn masquerading as a wandering fortune teller, waiting for skilled allies or a clue where the citadel is.
