Yaswick coughs, and awakes, "Huhwhat? What the hells?" He looks around confused for a moment, and then gathers his bearings. Never thought I'd owe a favor to a rat... He looks to Rixis, and then Rosa. "I hope my bloody distraction was worth its while. What's with the veil?" He picks himself off the ground, and leans against he wall, smiling at his erstwhile allies.

Yaswick decides to try to draw the guards' attention away from where Rosa and the others are investigating the veil, whatever it may be. He walks over and grabs the bars to their cell with both arms at his sides and rattles the bars as hard as he can. "Hey, piggies, c'mere. I want another cell, get me out of this one. Smells like wet dog and rat, I think I'm gonna be sick," he yells to the guards, hopefully distracting them from Rosa, Rixis, and Shinyai.

Seeing Rixis loudly casting a spell, Yaswick observes and tries to figure out what is being cast, though his knowledge of spellcraft of the arcane and divine nature is next to non-existent. Yaswick steps over next to Rixis and Shinyai, and speaks in a hushed tone. "If these guards have any sense they know you just cast a spell with all that chanting and waving of arms. Next time, let me know and I can provide a distraction. Did you figure out anything about that veil?"

Yaswick also studies his surroundings, and sizes up the guards to see who seems the most fearful. Perception to check out the cell: 1d20 + 4 ⇒ (17) + 4 = 21 Sense Motive to study the guards: 1d20 - 1 ⇒ (18) - 1 = 17

Yaswick stood with his back leaned against the corner of the cell and his arms crossed, a wide smile on his face, but he said nothing. He simply stared at each guard, one by one, the smile never leaving his face.

Looking forward to this. I almost feel bad for Talingarde. Almost. One question: are you okay with minor edits to our characters between now and the game starting? I only bought the most essential gear, and I might tool around with my skills and spells, if it is all the same to you.

Yes, I finished the crunch of the character just a bit ago, and wrote up a cursory backstory which I will probably add to. His father was a good-hearted man, but a revolutionary who wanted to remove the monarchy. He was hanged, causing Yaswick to become radicalized and bitter. He eventually led a group of insurgents in kidnapping and murdering some guards in the capitol city. He was the only survivor when they stormed the building, and was charged with murder and high treason.

My thought was more like Daniel Craig's character in Road to Perdition, who when asked by the little boy, "Why are you always smiling?" replied, "'Cause its all so ****ing hysterical." It is he who is always smiling, not his victims. |
