Background
Yaswick's mother died in childbirth, and when he was 14 years old his father, a revolutionary who had views on replacing the monarchy of Talingarde with a democracy, was hanged for treason. This radicalized Yaswick, who had always had a cruel streak in him, and over the next decade he became intimately involved in making the once fairly peaceful group of rebels into a militant and hateful organization. During this time he also developed an addiction to the drug shiver, which furthered his paranoia and anger.
This all finally culminated in him leading a group in the kidnapping and eventual murder of several city guards in the capitol. All of his compatriots were killed when the army stormed the building they were held up in, and he was taken prisoner.
He has a bitter hatred for Talingarde, its army, and especially its nobility. He has also cultivated a very dark sense of humor over the years. He intends to quit doing shiver to get his head straight, and take vengeance on all who have wronged he and his family.
