I do not see the save from the Bard for the Hold Person spell. It is a DC 17. I realize I did not put the DC in my previous post. But if he fails then no grease spell.

It was only a thought. I prefer the one where we know each other. Party cohesion tends to be better when the characters are attached some how.

Ren left home a little over a decade ago. So she would have Meisha when your little rouge would have been seven or eight. So I doubt she would have recognized her among the crowd. But Meisha might recognize her.

Your back ground mentions that you are a traveling troupe, so you are from a different group than us. That keeps an retconning from happening and gives a fun intro where the Drow do not think you are important and you need to convince them.

It would be an easy sell that one of our PCs recognizes you and is willing to help convince the Drow to let you come with us. Which I think might be a fun option.

If you are interested We could actually very easily integrate your character and my Bards back story fairly easily. Ren came to Taldor from Tien-Xia. She could have briefly booked passage with your trope or be familiar with them from her past. That way it is less retcon and more fleshing out the backstory and it might not tie you into knowing the whole group but it gives you someone. You could notice Ren and ask to come with.

How old is Meisha? I ask because if you want her and Ren to know each other I do have Ren being much older than the average adventurer but she does have a fondness for young people.

Alternatively these Drow have been stealing people and you have a very impressive stealth as a fox. You could have seen them there and followed. Not sure if the GM or you want to go that route.

By no means am I insisting on anything these are just a few ideas I had.

I am not opposed to getting another player in the game. I was just curious if you had one lined up or were going to reopen recruitment.

Is there a replacement available? They could easily be in the mass of people.

My post is a little jumbled and I apologize for that. Ren started her bardic performance and then moved. Next round I will cast Blur. I do not mean to be confusing. Vigil delayed his swing in the first round to get the bonus from the song but he still missed so it did not matter. He moved in the surprise round.

It ate my post. Blur will go on Dougal and that is the end of my first turn.

Opps. The spell Blur is what I will be using. Who is the one with the violin?

I moved Ren. In the next round I will cast mirror image on either Dougal or Virgil. Any one have a preference on which one?

That is what I though. I the first round Ren did the Inspire Courage thing, that was mentioned above in my earlier posts. And I cannot edit the map to move me. Please move Ren behind Dougal and Virgil. I will put a buff on them in the next round.

Ah yes because this is what they kidnapped us for. Random cave fights. With a scowl firmly in place Ren takes a moment to breath and find that thrum in the air. Rising her voice and beginning to speak. And this is basically what happens.

Inspire Courage is active when Ren can go. So that is a +2 to attack, damage, saving throws against charm and fear.

I am going out of town this weekend, friday to sunday, and I have no idea if I will have wifi or the time to post so bot me if need be.

I have no issue with the idea of a thief but he views our captives as marks and that concerns me. I am ok with some more muscle since they have lots of uses. Mostly I do not want to suffer if they do dumb things. That and Dougal and Ren put forward the ones they would pick not necessarily what i would pick.

Ok so we are wanting the two we get to help with the performances first and fore most. Which is why I suggested the the maid, the seamstress, and singer. Functionally they fit people who could help best with that.

I do not want the easily angered Bouncer. And a Pit fighter is not likely to be even tempered. Mercenaries are not know for loyalty. And Nobles are difficult to deal with.

The squire might be an option. Possibly strong, not prone to backstabbing, and used to a crappy life.

I do have a question about the play. Theater, good theater any ways, is about the story and what it means. Not only to the audience but the actors. To be able to do a tale justice we need to understand the subject. Do we get to know what this play is? Oh and how long will we have to get ready for showtime.

Lots of images are not avatars and that makes me sad. In most cases I can find what I want but for my Geisha and my spiritualist witch I am less pleased with their images.

All I wanted with a pretty and haughty painted face or at eastern looking female. Currently I have this one but I am not that fond of it.

Also how is the capture going to work out? Am I to assume all of her belongings come with her or just what would be on person? And what would the price be on a kimono be? A nice one mind we I have standards after all ;)

Deaths Adorable Apprentice here. This is my Bard. Got distracted trying to find a avatar I liked. Here is a little on her. I am still working on the crunchy bits.

At a glance she does not take up much space having a slight build but at more than a glance Ren is a striking woman. A short pale woman with long bluish black hair that is rarely down. Her thin lips are typically smirking and her chocolate colored eyes always moving about to take her surroundings and the people occupying that space.

Yano Ren has lived in Oppara for seven years now. Likely the attention she regularly keeps her traditional appearance, if in public she wears silken kimonos and the iconic white face paint. This lets her wonder about Oppara largely unrecognized without the makeup and in more traditional Taldan garb should she desire anonymity.

Her money comes from plying her trade. Offering foreign entertainment to the wealthy. Typically in the form of dancing. Ren prefers the freedom she has in Oppara. Should she only wish to perform a tea ceremony, a subdued dance, a more erotic dance, simple flirting, or a night of passion it is her choice and hers alone. All that money goes to her not a okiya as in her youth.

Fiercely independent Ren was perfectly happy to strike out on her own and struggle to make it. A flirt by nature she is typically either well liked or not very quickly by most. Ren evaluates people and tends to judge them in their first meeting. It tends to take a rather dramatic move to alter her view on a person. Years of training have taught her to hide her feeling and most people are not aware that they have angered her. But when it comes to her affection she makes sure that it is know.

Elated to have joined the Gilded Lily five years ago. Content to slip into a role so different from what she actually is. She has always loved to dance and that is her passion on stage. But many performances are more than a dance. Not the first to leap for a role with a lot of singing since the style she was trained for is so different from the local style. But the acting, being someone else even for a short time. This has always fascinated her. Never a fan of Taldan comedies but loving their tragedies and tales of grandiose heroes. When it comes to picking a role she never lets herself be the sidekick to the hero. But she will be the damsel he is trying to rescue, happily. Over time she has developed a fondness for playing the villain. Dipping into a mindset so foreign to hers has hers is fascinating.
