Are you guys finally gonna put racial class options for the Magus and the Gunslinger?

I realize the other classes are alternate, so they would get the bonuses the original classes do, right?

I want to create an exercise for race construction, I'll post something and I want you guys to help me out to create said Race, even if it's a subrace, like the one I'm posting below.
Worry not about points, do what you believe is reasonable, taking the story into consideration. Can you do it?

Create a Race that is the son of an Azlanti Woman, and the Father is an Orc Herald of Dahak.

So.... go!

Well, so far we've heard a lot of cons about those rules so far. I myself have a lot of those.
But I've seen few Pros.

What do you guys think is going in the right direction regarding those rules?

So, it states that you can take many sizes depending on the spell level.

And when there isn't a creature of said size? There isn't a diminutive Monstrous Humanoid in any of the bestiaries.
So, can you choose say, medusa, and be diminutive, for instance? How does it work exactly?

Say you have Improved Unnarmed Strike, and uses a Reach Weapon, let's say a Longspear. Now, you threaten 2 squares, and if someone gets adjacent to you in a round, normaly he would give you an AoO.
My question is, what would you be able to use?
The spear or the Unarmed strike?

I have NO idea where to start, too many rage powers and oracle mysteries to choose from. Lame curse is the only thing that seems obvious to me.
Now, Archetypes are complicated to say the least, what's your take in it? It's gonna be a LONG campaign, going to 20th level for sure, what do you guys think?

There was a thread about Strength getting to unsurmountable amounts earlier, I was wondering how would it be possible to do so with the other Ability Scores. Specially the Mental ones, you guys up to the chalenge?

I'm sure it's been adressed before, but i can't find it. What's the best animal companion for a druid?

I'm playing a second level Magus now. Elf, Dex based. Dervish Dance on next level and Bladebound Archetype.

I'm pretty good at making builds normally, but this one is eluding me somehow. I'm talking about arcana and feats mostly. The characters idea is to be something of a duelist, he will challenge melee characters as well as spellcasters (so I'm thinking step up chain)

Could you guys help me out with this one?

The stats are pretty awesome considering it's been rolled. So far they are thus:
13 - Str
19 - Dex
12 - Con
18 - Int
11 - Wis
14 - Cha

No, it's not totally optimized, but that's cause there's an RP background, and I live mostly for that.

So, any tips?

The way I read it, the weapon's arcane pool can be used normally to enhance the weapon. Who thinks I'm wrong?

2 people marked this as FAQ candidate. Answered in the errata. 1 person marked this as a favorite.

The Improved Savage grapple power states that you are treated as one size larger than you actually are for determination if you can or not grapple a foe.

That's certainly wrong, cause no such limitation exists anymore, at least I can't find it. Help?

I'm having problems with this. Combat maneuvers for instance, if you have them, can you use with your mount? If your mount has it, can he use it?
Can your mount attack as you attack?

Can it use it's feats?

What CMB and CMD are used at a Bull rush for instance?

I got the basics, but there isn't anything else to go for a real rider type...

I do realize that with the cavalier coming up it's possible that some rules are added, but maybe there is something I didn't see already there.

Thanks a bunch.

So, adamantite states that it ignores hardness of 20 or less... so, does that mean that hardness of 21 is applied in full? If so, isn't it... crappy?

On a side note, anything that is "Sunderable" should be breakable, how would we know the break DC of a Forcecage for instance?

I'm looking for templates, creatures, prestige classes, fluff, magic, itens ... well anything from ANY edition about shadow and Darkness, even if it's something remotely related it might help. Thanks in advance for all your help.

So, I remember reading somewhere that if an opponent wasn't aware of your attack, he would be caught off guard, thus loosing his Dex bonus to Ac and being Sneak attacked.

I can't find this anywhere, and I'm pretty sure that I didn't come up with that alone.

The scenario would be a guy with quick draw a hidden weapon and pretty big bluff, talking to someone, suddenly he draws his weapon and stabs him, or something similar to this.

Anyone know of a rule regarding this? (Not talking about feint here, that's a whole different matter, and the quick draw and hidden weapon aren't even an issue with this.

How exactly would it work?

Energy field destroys all objects and effects.

Anyone care to "explain" this? I guess where I'm going with this is pretty obvious.

Well, Can I assume that anything that the developers put here on the foruns is official? Like a FAQ or Errata?

I normally do, but I have some nitpicking DMs that say that if it's not WRITEN that it is offical it is not, so all I'm asking for ANY of the developers is one post saying: YES!
Please?

I know this has been stated earlier, but does anyone know if this maneuver is being "errataed"?
If not, does anyone know how to make it useful, any house rules regarding it?

Again with this issue, I know.

Does anyone know if there has been any word from paizo regarding this?
They are extremelly weak at my opnion (and everyone else as it seems), but has there been anything to fix this? Is there going to be?

I know that there has been some homebrew, where is it? And what did u guys change when u did it, and why?

We decided to start playtesting the core classes after the release, and the Barbarian in the group is pretty low because the fighter is better in most everyway, so I'm looking for fixes, what say you? (again)

How would a 2 handed giant hammer be in stats to you guys? And how would a "bastard" hammer be?

PF lacks the love for bludgeoning weapons, shame on you! ;)

It states weapon held, ok, that's ONE weapon. But what if 2 weapons are held? (not saying a guy could hold 50 weapons and do it, but u know where I'm going.
What about a double weapon? It says nothing about one end or the other, it's still ONE weapon.

Bless can be used in ONE arrow or bolt, as Align can be used in 50, isn't it odd to say the least? Since align is ALMOST a worse, more "expensive" spell?

What say thee?

So, I can't find an answer about this, but which maneuvers deal damage? Grapple is one sure, Sunder do not (on the opponent at least)

How about disarm? And more importantly, how about trip? The other maneuvers are preety self explanatory, but those too are lacking something. How about the rules on snatching objects from the guys body? I was sure it was disarm or something, now I'm not anymore, some light on the subject please.

I tried to find it and could not, but I do remember reading something somwhere.

The only way to avoid AoO while casting spells is to cast them defensivelly? Is that right? Or does feats like Silent Spell, Still spell and the such can acomplish something of the like?

I'm thinking about subscribing to Pathfinder RPG, it's gonna be very expensive for me cause I live in Brasil and the shipping cost sucks, but I like the products too much and the free PDF is really neat, besides the products take a while to come out, so it's gonna be like 3 or 4 products a year and I'm not in the mood to wait A year to get'em all together.

So, my question is IF I subscribe now, will they ship All the older products (Gm screen, Core Rulebook and BEstiary) OR I'll have to buy em separetelly?

AND will I get the older PDFs?

Please help, I'm holding my breath for this here.

How would it work exaclty?
The half-celestial as an example increases the monster CR by +1 or +2 or +3 depending on the HD of the creature.
What about a character?
My guess is it would not increase at all, cause there is the rule about lowering the "ECL" there. But let's say I have a +5 Template or something like that, would that lowering "ECL" rule still work?

I'm used to play with lots of templates in my groups, so it would be cool to have some insight into how it would work now, although we are pretty screwed creating most of them...

Hopefully Brodiggan will help with this one making statistics and all.

I noticed that 2WF has become quite powerfull now, and I would like to know HOW powerfull it is. I always liked 2 Handed weapons and I feel that they are really lousy now with the new Shield feats and the 2 weapon fighting ones. Am I wrong here?

The 2-Handed weapons feats in beta seemed to cover it a little, but now that they are out, how underpowered is 2 handed waepons really?

I see we are having problems to get official rulings in lots of problems we've been seeing, like the AOO from thouch and ranged attacks, the Smite Evil, the Barbarian and many, many others.

I would like to know why the pathfinder (officials) are not participating so much, and if we can do something to help you guys out in this matters that expecifically need some official ruling, like making one and only one thread for official answers, like this one.

Thoughts?

Are there any books or web enhancemente coming about this? Those rules are REALLY outdated now, and I never thought they were very well writen anyway.

Thoughts anyone?

I love the new Smite, it's finally worth something and it is by far the most powerfull ability of the Class, and of lot's of classes in that matter. My question is: I feel like dreaming, am I rerading it right?

Why are they SO underpowered... I know they were always underpowered, but I really hoped it would change now... Is there a reason why they are still so lousy? And please, tell me if I'm wrong.
