Human

Pity. I was giving people a chance to catch up. Oh well. Cheers anyway.

Human

Xander bowed to the Dragon and smiled. "Thank you Old One. I will heed your words. I leave you now. Take care and I hopes to meet you again!"

Bowing to the Dragon once again, Xander darted away, heading the direction the Dragon had sent him. 'Let's do this!'

Human

Welcome back. I'll get a post up in the morning. :)

Human

Xander took the ring without hesitation, before sliding it on to the middle finger of his right hand. As an after thought, Xander pulled his MP3 player from his pocket and leaves it before the Dragon. "I might not be here to talk to you, I need to head on now, but I have this MP3 player you can have. It has all of the modern club mixes and a few original mixes on it too. Just tap the center lightly and it'll start playing!" He smiled up at the Dragon before bowing.

"Thank you great Drake. You have been most helpful. Now I have two questions remaining. Do you know of a weakness to the Shadow? And when I leave you here, what direction do I take?"

Human

Xander grins at the Dragon before laughing. "I wouldn't trust me with one virgin not to talk of so many at once. I might forget the Shadow and just occupy myself in untainted flesh. I'll move the next three and land on that their red my dear Drake."

Human

Can I get a breakdown of colours before me. I can move 4 directions including the way back, right?

"Why the only way you can, by dragging it in to the light!" Xander pulls the glowing white knife from his belt and focuses on it, trying to make it flare a little brighter. "I'm trying to gain power, become stronger, BE the light I need to burn that shadow away. Think you can help me?"

Human

"Well I am here to stop those Shadow beasts. A task with which I will accept any and all assistance with, just so you know!" Xander grinned as he stared around himself slowly.

Diplomacy-1d20 + 10 ⇒ (9) + 10 = 19

"And I have no plans to attack you, my dear Drake, unless you decide to attack me. I do not mean to be your enemy. But it is my turn, so I will continue on my two squares and land on a red and safety. Ah but now it is your turn and you get to change the squares, do you not?"

Xander moves on to the square he counted.

Human

Xander makes a motion towards the Dragon, indicating that he would wish to make his second move, before he begins to speak.

"The Irish are a group of people who live in a place called Ireland. They are descendants of the Picts and the Celts originally but due to the warring of Nations also have Norse, Spanish and Teutonic blood. The word Irish also can be used when speaking about Drinking, Fighting or Boston. What is the Shadow that terrorizes the city above?"

Human

"Apollo doesn't fancy me like that, I would not look good in a dress, but I do like to spread his good name, so Bishop kinda fits! I move two spaces!" Xander grinned, strolling his two spaces forward to stop on a red square.

"Must be awful lonely down here, for you to waste your time building a board like this. A great and powerful Dragon such as yourself would be better suited to a hilltop, surrounded by jewels, bedecked in the finest of gold and served by the most beautiful of maidens. What keeps you here oh mighty Drake?"

Diplomacy-1d20 + 10 ⇒ (8) + 10 = 18

Human

Xanders eye begins to twitch as he stares at the Dragon. "A f#%$ing Dragon...? A Dragon?! I don't even have armour, or a Lance. And I am not f&%!ing Welsh either..." He shook his head softly before taking a deep cleansing breath. "Maybe I can sneak around it..."

Xander stopped for a second, pacing up and down along the area right beside the Chessboard style markings, before frowning and taking a step on to the square that would have put him on the Queen side Bishop spot. He braced himself and waited for something to happen.

A Dragon?! Apollo have mercy on your most beautiful of worshipers! :-P

Human

Xander darts around the ladder and keeps on going, not even wasting the time to consider climbing up this time. 'Too much to do, too much to learn!" Marking where the ladder is mentally, he continues on over the grass.

Human

"I hear you and I heed. I will make sure to fight and not fall to the shadow. Thank you for all of your help Gelma, I appreciate it!" Xander snapped off a smart bow, before turning and darting from the area, heading right, like the little girl had said.

'I will find this Shadow and I will slay it!"

Human

Oh good. ;) I'll keep quiet and just post up a post later on.

Human

I have a lot a lot of work! I am almost miles ahead of the others at this point.

Human

Xander smiled and stood up slowly, spinning the knife casually back and forth over his hand, before sliding it through his belt. "Thank you for your help. But I must ask you for one more thing, a direction. Point and I will follow!" He bowed his head to the little girl and her pet fox.

Human

'What have I got to lose...?'

Xander nods and stands up, dropping his leather jacket, full of all of the contents of his pockets, on to the ground, before pulling off his boots and socks, and adding his shirt to the pile. Bare chested, wearing only his pair of torn jeans, Xander walks slowly in to the pond, till he can submerge himself completely, holding his breath.

'This better work...'

Human

Xander frowns softly, reaching in to his pocket for his tobacco and skins, and beginning to roll absentmindedly, as he speaks. "So it has been here for awhile... Is there anything that could have happened, down here, to drive it from this place to seek prey? Do you... do you know where it is and..." He looked up at the girl, frowning, as he lit the cigarette and took a slow deep draw, as his hand shook slightly. "Can you tell me how to beat it? Point me towards a weapon that will help me? I have little I can offer, but... if I can give you something or get you something, I will gladly!"

Human

Sorry guys. I literally just finished moving to Canada from Ireland like two days ago. Trying to get on a schedule and have limited internet.

Human

Xander takes a seat, legs crossed, beside the pond, shaking his head softly. "I am not quite thirsty yet, maybe before I leave, it will be all the sweeter then. But thank you Gelma, and you too Tilk. My name is Xander, it is a pleasure to meet you both!"

Sense Motive-1d20 + 0 ⇒ (18) + 0 = 18

"Tell me Gelma, do you know anything about the world above? You see... The city is under attack, from someone or something, he is killing people and leaving behind a number painted beside the body, in blood. I traced that killer down here and so I hunt. Do you know anything that could be causing this? Anyone I should speak to?"

Human

Xander smiled slightly and bowed his head to the girl. "Greetings. I am pleased to find you and your friend here, the last copse of trees I entered was less than friendly. Could I rest here a moment?"

Human

Xander cursed under his breath, as he began to slowly move towards the center of the glade. "Apollo, if there is a trial in here, could you make it like... a b**!@in guitar duel with someone, or something? Oh... and make them have a spare guitar, thanks!"

Human

Hmm... If I entered and went right, then right again will take me towards the edge of the maze, which I don't want so...

Xander frowned, before turning and taking the left path.

Human

"Maybe... This is good. Okay. I will go and come back. I need a better weapon!" Xander begins to climb the ladder before pausing. "No. This could all change... I could end up not being able to come back. No. Let's end this!" dropping back lightly to the ground, he turns and begins to set off deeper in to the labyrinth, flipping the knife in to a downward, knife fighters grip.

Human

Xander crouches low, and begins to move in to the tunnel, hoping to remain undetected.

"DROP ME YOU SON OF A B%#@%!"

Human

Haha Thanks. :)

That is actually the key word, insanity. Xander has had a minor break of sanity and is now just dedicated trying to fix everything.

Oh no...

Human

Gritting his teeth, Xander tries to cut through the vines again and keep going.

Human

Xander grips the vines tightly with one hand, reaching down and pulling his knife from his boot and beginning to try cut through the offending vine. "Now now you big creepy possibly carnivorous flower, that will be enough of that!"

Human

Dual gunned? Hahaha Old Xander is dual gunned, this Xander is a non-com Computer Genius / Musical Genius / Charisma character. Hahaha He has a knife and a flashlight. He might be in over his head.

Human

Xander lies there for a second, laughing wildly, before climbing to his feet. He looks around for a minute, before shaking his head, and beginning to recite, quietly under his breath, the beginning of a poem he learned as a young boy.

"All in the golden afternoon
Full leisurely we glide;
For both our oars, with little skill,
By little arms are plied,
While little hands make vain pretense
Our wanderings to guide."

"Seems like I have fallen right down the Rabbit Hole now... Well well... Hop hop hop!" He crossed the flower to the other side, before beginning to climb up.

Poem is stanza one of the opening of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll

Human

"I mean we slept together a few times it is not like we were engaged or anything..." He moved over to the edge, shining the light down in to the darkness, looking for the bottom, hopefully.

He sighed, knowing that wouldn't cut it, that he had to go on, before be began to climb down in to the pit, cursing his own stupidity.

Human

Xander climbed to his feet, after some time had passed and stretched slowly. He began to walk back in to the maze, going slowly, making sure the creature was gone, before he began to head the opposite direction from it.

Human

Uhhmmm... Wasn't that Lucas dead sister Tony found...?

Human

Xander took a seat cross legged on the ground and tapped his lip in thought. "This might be a problem..."

Human

Xander pulls the knife from its sheath as he runs, taking the left path without a moments hesitation.

Xander stared at the Goat man before him, before turning on his heels and dashing away, running as hard and fast as he can. "F@*$ NO!"

Human

Initiative-1d20 + 2 ⇒ (4) + 2 = 6

Welp... I am dead.

Human

Xander pondered the coin for a moment, before shrugging and picking it up. He had thought about leaving it as a marker, but if he got lost, he had a feeling he would not make it back out again anyway. He thought of the fact he had no food or water and cringed, but bulled ahead, continuing on his chosen path.

Steeling himself against the confusion and horror he was feeling at the sight of the tree, he pushed his way through.

But of course!

Human

Xander stood at the intersection, bouncing a coin up and down on his palm and frowning. Three directions and no idea where he was going or what he was looking for... Shrugging, he dropped the coin on the ground behind him and took a step in to the center of the intersection. He closed his eyes and span around slowly till he had lost all sense of direction then stopped and flung out his arm, pointing down the way he would go.

Totally random decision, gonna leave it up to you MN. The coin marks the way he came and he will choose another direction if he lands on it.

Human

Xander stares out over the ruins below him and whistles softly through his teeth, before fumbling in his pocket for his tobacco. He rolled up a cigarette and took a seat on the edge of the path, hunching in on himself to hide the flame as he struck his zippo to life and lit his smoker.

"Where the f!&~ are you leading me Tris...?" He stuck the cigarette between his teeth, before pulling his phone out of his pocket. He clicked it to silent, before he started to take some pictures of the vista before him. When he was done, he returned his phone to his pocket, and reached down to check on the knife in his boot. Finding it still in its sheath, he nodded softly, before getting to his feet.

"I'll find this bastard or die trying... Lets hope that is just me being dramatic."

He steeled himself, before continuing on.

Human

That is greatly appreciated.

Xander took a seat at the edge of the manhole and sighed, as be began to rifle through his leather jacket for his lighter. He came to the inside pocket and frowned, patting the pocket in confusion. 'What the...?' He reached in to the pocket and pulled out a torch, a sudden look or realization dawning on his place.

"Riiiiight.... For that rave the other week. I needed it to check out hat busted fuse. Huh... Handy!" He forgot the lighter and the cigarette for the moment, and began to climb down in to the sewers below.

"Apollo grant me some f&##in luck would ya?"

Human

Xander looks around for a moment, frowning, before shaking his head and sighing. "What am I doing...?"

Is there anywhere Xander could buy a torch nearby, within walking distance?

Human

Xander begins to pry up the manhole cover slowly, pulling the knife from his boot and holding it ready.

Haha Thanks. I appreciate it.

Human

Xander begins to look around for the nearest manhole cover, searching desperately for a clue that he may be on the right track.

Human

Xander dismisses the woods for a moment, frowning around, thinking furiously.

Human

Perception-1d20 + 6 ⇒ (13) + 6 = 19

Xander stared at the crime scene for a moment, and really tried to focus. He let loose that part inside him that was not all law abiding and a good upstanding citizen, and tried to look at the scene from the point of view of a criminal.

I dunno if this will help but Xander is going to think about each Crime Scene, from the point of view of someone intending to commit the crime. Can I roll a Knowledge (Streetwise) for that check or would I need something else. If Streetwise would do...

Streetwise-1d20 + 7 ⇒ (20) + 7 = 27

Human

Xander slipped out of the booth and headed back up in to the alley to collect his bike. He kicked the bike to life, fitted his helmet, and set off for the bowling alley. As he rode, he focused on the task at hand. He had a killer to find and a friend to avenge. He was sure there were other people searching for this guy, maybe he should think about finding out the names of the victims and trying to find their families, see what was up. He'd need to find someone working the case to give him that information but... One thing at a time.
