Sounding like Witch is in need of a errata then (and hopefully the multiclass version too, though like that other guy said, I'm less sure over that).

Maybe they could make up the spell slots to 4 and rework a lot of the Hex Cantrips. Just a few ideas off the top of my head. If anyone wants me to start a thread listing some changes needed for the Witch class, I'd be happy to!

We at Samurai Sheepdog will be updating our existing content to PF2 once it's available to do so. We also will be providing new content for both editions.

Would love to play as your Otterling ancestry in Second Edition!

Also, Glenbuckie Publishing hasn't decided on any large 3rd party projects yet, but we're going to be doing some smaller releases in a line I'm calling Glenbuckie Daydreams, starting with the Queer Pride Barbarian. It'll have a new barbarian instinct and a bunch of feats.

I am intrigued over how that'll play out.

Ballistician
This is mainly inspired by Fire Emblem but I would love it if there was a class, archetype, or even prestige that allows one to operate a mobile ballista modeled after a bow or crossbow that you can customize to make it focus on speed, strength, endurance, or even make it balance between all 3! Of course they may have to dedicate an entire section to Ballistician exclusive weapons if this were to ever be the case.

I am not sure if modern firearms will make a return in Second Edition, or even if Paizo will consider the AP they came from in the first place, Rasputin Must Die!, and possibly other related APs canon, but it would be pretty rad if tanks at least made a return as one-man operated medieval devices.

Some refs for what a potential Ballistician could look like:

Sentinel
Simply a class or archetype that specializes in making the most out of shields and tanking. They ignore most, if not all, penalties that comes with employing shields and in fact can even attach certain ones onto their armor for further tanking!

Edit: Also 100th reply, yay!

I've been playing a chained summoner in my friend's homebrewed adventure and been having some fun playing him and his eidolon! And while I have yet to play as an unchained summoner, the changes it offers seem interesting enough for me to consider playing as one someday.

In the case of Pathfinder 2nd Edition, I can easily see Paizo basing this summoner off of the unchained version, seeing as the whole purpose of that class was to act as a nerf to the original one, though I'd love it if they do more with PF2's summoner like give it a few more subtypes to play with and/or even a whole prestige class that basically acts like the original summoner with a few bells and whistles.

But what do any of you think they could do with the summoner? Assuming it's confirmed to return for Pathfinder 2E.

The basic concept for those transformative spells seems befitting for a 10th-level spell, it's just that as you say it somehow lacks the Oomph factor by some unknown margin. I do wonder too how could you fill in this cognitive gap to make them worthy of their slots, though.

Somewhat half-related, but I wish more 9th and 10th-level spells, at least 1 per each school (or more, especially for schools with multiple subschools) will be there from the start.

Very good points to be made here. *Nods*

Seeing as spells like Avatar, Primal Herd, and others are a bit mediocre for 10th-level spells, I think it would be feasible if the promise to buff up the spells will help give these ones justice...along with some clarification if they're wearing clothes or not so as to avoid any awkward descriptions.

Additionally, it would also be fair to at least allow these form changing spells to treat the users as half casters; retaining their ability to use spells but only from 6th/7th and lower levels.

What do you guys think though? Anything else you feel they could improve on or are they fine as is?

Surprised this hasn't gotten more discussion.

I do believe more classes should be archetypes.

Investigator is a particularly good example.

Fighter + Investigator = Constable
Rogue + Investigator = Detective
Paladin + Investigator = Inquisitor
Ranger + Investigator = Bounty Hunter
Wizard + Investigator = Scholar

and so on. It should be a fun thing to add to each class as an archetype moreso than a standalone class.

Ooh, I especially like the Scholar one! Would be fun to play a crime-fighting magician.

So seeing as archetypes will be taking a different approach for this upcoming edition, I wanted to discuss ways in how to translate the Investigator class from the 1st edition to the 2nd. Here's a page to read up on said class.

First off, their premiere class feature, Inspiration, should most definitely come with taking up the Investigator Dedication since it can help your PC further integrate its role in "skill monkey", not to mention aiding your spell slinging in combat.

Secondly, the ability to take Investigator Talents and knowledge on Studied Combat and Studied Strikes would either come around at level 3 for the former class feature and level 4 for the latter ones or all of them learned at level 4. Personally hoping for the former but still fair if Paizo takes the latter route.

Finally, True Inspiration would most likely take a very long time to learn down the Investigator path since you get to essentially use Inspiration at-will by this point with an awesome bonus in 2d6 Inspiration rolls instead of 1d6.

However I'd love to hear your take on 2E's Investigator Archetype if that becomes a thing! Might even help me gain more ideas for this archetype.
