It's getting better. When I transitioned, there weren't nearly as many resources as are available today. There was pretty much no hope of insurance paying for anything. Heck, at this point, we're the hip new fad. Everyone wants a transperson in their pocket.

I definitely appreciate you wonderful pioneers. You've had to face a lot of trials and tribulations to get us where we are now. We've still got a long way to go, but the community has made some great strides.

I'm just as disappointed as you, KSF. Fear is such an overriding emotion, especially when you perceive (whether legitimately or in this case, falsely) that your loved ones are threatened. But that's the sad state of the world we live in right now. Fear is the great motivator for everything we, as a society does.

As a pre-hormone trans woman, it scares me to take the journey ahead knowing the amount of discrimination, vitriol, and disgust that I may face. I read about it every time I read other trans persons' stories. The struggle is real. But at the same time, I know that there are those who support and invest love in the trans community. So thank you to those who advocate for us and offer their love ^.^
