Keeping true to his plan, William moves back at a similar pace to the Chalm and his company. Not quite managing to make it to the stares before the crowd does, he begins fighting his way past the large group of people. Pushing the unarmored masses aside as he follows his new lord up the stares. Round 4: William double moves, making it to the stares on his second one.
Though I believe he instantly makes the check to fight through the crowd if we're using the trample thing.
Williams changes where simply turning power attack into step up and converting his weapon focus and specialization to heavy blades rather than bastard sword. Winnie changes point blank shot and deadly aim into another extra-discovery that gives her the Fey aspect mutagen and dodge. Williams wolf loses power attack and gains Run.
Lady-J wrote: which is why i said point buy sucks cuz you have to take from one ability score to even get a some what workable score in your main stats 20 is way more than workable. My 12th level inquisitor still doesn't have a 20 in a stat and he's doing great. I get that you must play in larger than life games, but to most people there high stat will usually be a 18 after racial bonuses.
Brother Fen wrote: The whole experience made me quit the campaign and kindled within me that all Min-maxers and power-gamers are merchants of BADWRONGFUN. I have zero love for them and their ilk ever since. I believe they ruin the game for everyone. I'm no min-maxer, but I can say I know why they do it after having 4 character's die in a row in a campaign once, dosn't feel good. Looking back it was more my play style than my build though.
William nearly bowls over quite a number of people in an attempt to stop his advance, he does however manage to get turned around and heads back to the king. Secretly a bit glad that he wasn't expected to die holding them off... yet. "Fine! Lets go then, we cant afford to delay much longer. Those beasts are ripping through the crowd!" Gods please let Winnie be ok... let this not be city wide, please... Actions and rolls: Moved from M1 to G3, and thats it.
Spelling is a dark spot for me most of the time, I will try to do better in the future. Times like these I wish paizo could just let us edit all we want while having a "Past versions" button on posts. Gets annoying to make a little mistake and not be able to fix it. On speaking with Winnie, if the case is no yelling over the crowd then he will still say those words and Winnie will still take those actions (It is pretty much their stock strategy for now) just the line "at Williams behest" will be removed.
At the sight of the main door giving way William gives his blade a few quick tugs to release it from the peace bond even as he moves twords the doors leading the charge. "Its time to hold true to our oaths my friends, prepare yourselves!" Finally pulling the bindings away he lifts his sword twords Winnie on the other end of the room. "Ready the artilary! Protect the children!" As he finishes his sentence the doors burst open revealing the awful creatures. OOC: William is taking advantage of his foolhardy rush ability in order to both move and take a full round action to pull his sword free, that combined with a double move gets him 60ft closer to the fight.
William nods at Theodric's statement before realizing that the blind swordsman cannot see him do so. "Well... I suppose that's a perk to having you're condition right? He-he." This sentence is followed by an elbow to the ribs from Winnie and a loud "OOF!" from William. ::Winnie::
William shuffles his feet unconfortably next to Winnie, who is visiably enjoying the Caty scene. William does, however nod at Deneb's proposal of dinner. "It's probably the right way to go about it. Haven't eaten much since a little after mid day, would be nice to have a goodly meal before discussing things as important as this."
William is taken aback by chalms willingness to take the bandits on their journey should they capture any. "Well, I suppose that's even greater reason to hope against bandits then." He clearly dislikes the idea of bandits being towed along with his friends and family but will not question Chalms decision. Hope those manicals are strong.
William being mostly quite while the more knowledgeable folk ask questions on the trip they are to take, pipes up at the mention of using magic to make the journey. "I've plans to make rough maps of the areas we trek through while finding a spot to settle, not to mention we want to make sure we aren't going to a place caught right in the middle of hostiles. Teleportation magic may be good for traveling, but when you're trying to find a good spot to stay in a place where little is known? Its better to go by foot." Stroking his beard for a moment, William continues "And on the bandit issue... I will slay any criminal whom threatens this expedition." William says, pointing at the ground in a stern manner."I hope you would all do the same. Brigands deserve no quarter amongst those of honor and I will not make amends with those who once made a living out of waylaying the innocent, if none are willing to end a bandits crime the only way you can with no civilization." William ceases stroking his beard as the grizzly topic of executions are insinuated "Then... I will do what must to be done... I'll ride along the caravan and guard everyone. I loath the idea of being miles away from my children in such a dangerous place." OOC: Just the reasoning I could come up with for why on foot may be better than teleporting, aside the cost and story avoidance of course.
William doesn't like the idea of taking dangerous men prisoner when there's no way to get rid of them, its a sad truth, but if it comes down to it He will carry the executioners burden as he feels He has the most to lose should they stay alive and betray any trust we give them.
The Wyrm Ouroboros wrote: William - there are a couple of line-item notations I'll likely make (such as the honor increase for 'Challenge and defeat in single combat someone who has publicly dishonored you' - typically this sort of thing requires your opponent to be tougher than you are), but that generally looks good. Note that the conversion of the seppuku thing has to be more than just a 'brave last stand'; it requires the 'redeem your personal honor after being dishonored' overtones as well, whether that dishonor is because you performed an action against your alignment and/or personal honor because of a sworn oath, e.g. sacrificing it for your Lord, or because you fell into dishonored yourself, and can now only redeem it by such an act of self-sacrifice. Ok how about this Die fighting alone against overwhelming odds after a great personal dishonor (lost if risen from the dead)

I think this seems good to me. Any suggested changes? Become a Lord or High ranking public official (I.E. High priest, Top general)
William, after the embarrassment he had endured, simply stays to a corner of the hall and resigns himself to a drink with his wife. Little is said by William as he sips his wine, listening to Winnie chew his disrespect and pompous attitude at such a regal occasion out. "You should feel lucky you fool, makes my heart stop when you try starting fights in places like this. I'm surprised you didn't get set upon by everyone in the room, this isn't your home province Will... Things are different with the sword lords. boasting wins no friends... " ::9:00 PM:: Willaim stays away from most of the party goers up until the oaths are called for. The example given by Sarra brings a warm feeling to William. Good kid right there... he thinks waiting for his time to give an oath. When the time arrives William clasps Chalms hand with the medallion between them. He then smiles, kneels and takes the oath. "I, William Lawsrick, son of Walden Lawsrick and Annie Lawsrick, being of sound mind and without reservation, swear fealty of mind, body, and soul to the King and People of Krádira. I swear to bear loyal and true service to the King and People of Krádira, and to honor, preserve, protect, and uphold the laws, justice, and mercy of and for the People of Krádira against all enemies, foreign and domestic, and to bear true faith and allegience to the King and People of Krádira. I swear to faithfully execute the charges given to me, to protect and guide the people over whom I am granted rulership, guarding them in times of peril, nurturing them in times of peace, leading them in times of war, and governing them always with justice tempered by mercy, as the gods give me the wisdom to so do. This I swear to do until my final death, the world's end, or my lord release me." William stands back up, releases Chalms and returns to his wife. feeling a little better about how the night has gone. At least I have a purpose now... it feels... nice. OOC: I took care of most of the stuff about William that you pointed out, had one to few background skills (Though they are on point with the bonus as best I can tell. usually hitting +11 from 7 ranks+3 calss skill+1 from ability score) and one to few feats. I also had a feat that I couldn't have taken at the time I would have taken it in normal progression so I fixed that too.
I had forgotten about the honor thing, would you mind if I did what I did with the samurai class and westernize their code as well? otherwise I will take the Chivalric code as I don't think Oni or seppuku are going to be very prevalent.
William Waves Ishana off, clearly in no mood to be chewed out by someone he barely knows. He simply finds Kaellin, takes his shirt back with a brief "Thank you." before heading out of the room. OOC: Hey don't worry about it. William IS being a sore loser, he's accepting the loss but is saying he only lost because the duel was on Cvetkos terms, and that one day they'll meet again on more even ground. I would feel off about you if you where nice to William simply because he's my PC. All you know about him is that he took a petty insult and started a duel over it, and went on to lose and huff off. I'm actually not averse to making "enemies" In this group, not like "I will destroy you when I see you." but more people that have to be in really dire straights to work together.
I mean... their are twelve or so of us. Its unlikely that all of us like each other.
::The Duel::
Williams rage is palpable, seemingly winded more by the embarrassment than by the wounds or the duel itself. If any words are offered by Cvetko William Refuses to hear them and simply says to the victor. "You've won on your terms, that's fine an dandy. But me an you'll meet again onea these days, and I don't think it'll be in a settin such as this you Khamskiy mudak." translation:
Boorish a~@@$!@ OOC: COME ON, PARRY YOU STINKIN DICE! Parry: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (3) + 5 = 8 Oh how I wish we had re-rolls... Oh and by the way, I was taking the intimidate penalty into account I just wasn't power attacking in this fight if that even makes any difference.

Well really he just shifted the point where he's going to dominate. If he knew that getting 4 attacks was great for low level martials he'll probably know how to play a god wizard.
William tries to deflect the incoming blow with a miserable failure, the thin line of blood forming on Williams face smears on his fingers as he reaches up to touch the wound. With a slight growl at Cvetko William whips his blade up twords the mans chest, aiming a slash for his dominant hands pectoral. OOC: Attempting a parry. Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (2) + 5 = 7 And then William swings, clearly not with his full force but he's defiantly not trying to not hurt his opponent. Attack: 1d20 + 10 ⇒ (11) + 10 = 21
Attack: 1d20 + 5 ⇒ (15) + 5 = 20
